My three year old grandson saids this is Percy(Thomas & Friends). He is pretty convinced of it. We really like this cute train.

I am an American; I was in Northern Japan from 1954 until 1956. I was last in Japan on vacation in 1962. I rode the southbound Hatsukari pulled by steam locomotives. I never saw any trains north of Ueno pulled by anything but steam locomotives.

I was last in Japan in CE 1962. Are there now electric railways on Hokkaido?

Hey Wally, I was in Sapporo in 1979-1981...normally I take ANA airways from Tokyo to Chitose airport then take a Limousine Bus ride to downtown Susukino approx an hour...I believe there is a bullet train now (shinakansen)
