The Vampires in Twilight really do suck. I like the way they made the wolves however, they could have made them look a bit more scary and it would have been better if they felt some pain before transforming. All around these movies really do suck [unless you're a 14 year old girl who lives in dreamland or a mature women in heat; who isn't satisfied with her husband] True Blood is a much better representation of vampires and the British show "Being Human" shows is a much better werewolf effect!

Actually @maria9369 Dracula is not 'bullshit' as you may call it, the vampires form the twilight saga suck btw... EVERYTHIGN ABOUT VAMPIRES WAS BASED OFF OF DRACULA, except not dracula himself, it was all based off of Vlad the Impaler, for he used to take home people put them in his dungeon and when he was bored he would impale them upon his lance/spear, this started the legend of Dracula, NONE OF THIS TWILIGHT STUFF WOULD HAPPEN IF NOT FOR DRACULA.

The one mistake everyone is making. Is that they are NOT actually werewolves if you read the four book they state that werewolves are more monster looking and walk on two legs. And that these twilight dudes just turn into wolves. meaning they are shamans. So I can't help you search but there is a good good page on their mythology, you need to search it by one of their latin names. Native Amercians called true werewolves the wendigo, you could try that, but not wiipedia. it only tells you about the beliefs of indians in real life not the mythish.
They're more like shapeshifters. That's probably why they made the characters Native American since there are some Native American legends and mythos of people shapeshifting into animals. More commonly wolves. Wolves do play a major role in Native American rituals and mythology so that's probably why. But as somebody who is part Native American, I don't consider these guys werewolves at all. Really cool special effects with the wolves though. Crappy and cheesy movie. But I'm a guy after all.

Actually @maria9369 Dracula is not 'bullshit' as you may call it, the vampires form the twilight saga suck btw... EVERYTHIGN ABOUT VAMPIRES WAS BASED OFF OF DRACULA, except not dracula himself, it was all based off of Vlad the Impaler, for he used to take home people put them in his dungeon and when he was bored he would impale them upon his lance/spear, this started the legend of Dracula, NONE OF THIS TWILIGHT STUFF WOULD HAPPEN IF NOT FOR DRACULA.

Twilight lies about the normal actuality of vampires and werewolves. Werewolves aren't hot, there normal just like people and they do age. The transforming werewolves are very rare, from being hunted to extinction in Europe in the 1500's. now there are only hybrids of humans with high sense of smell pretty fast speed. also with an unatural pull towards wolves, they can howl like grey wolves and rarely get sick from eating, lets say, a rare cooked hamburger. :)

The one mistake everyone is making. Is that they are NOT actually werewolves if you read the four book they state that werewolves are more monster looking and walk on two legs. And that these twilight dudes just turn into wolves. meaning they are shamans. HENCE! the native american origins. like she said. shapeshifter i guess. but I don't see how the true werewolves are nearly extinct when in mythology the werewolf (lunakai) is far far superior to vampires and that vampires actually fear them.

they are. read up on true werewolves or Lunakai as one of their real names is. the werewolf in all mythology is farfarfar great then the vampire due to their full pyshical transformation and actually prey on vampires. its as said that vamps don't even try to fight them that they just run as fast as they can and hope for the best. but if they stuck to this in the film. its woulda be shit. book i mean sorry.

So I can't help you search but there is a good good page on their mythology, you need to search it by one of their latin names. Native Amercians called true werewolves the wendigo, you could try that, but not wiipedia. it only tells you about the beliefs of indians in real life not the mythish.

They're more like shapeshifters. That's probably why they made the characters Native American since there are some Native American legends and mythos of people shapeshifting into animals. More commonly wolves. Wolves do play a major role in Native American rituals and mythology so that's probably why. But as somebody who is part Native American, I don't consider these guys werewolves at all. Really cool special effects with the wolves though. Crappy and cheesy movie. But I'm a guy after all.

There are shapeshifters in Norwegian folklore, that can transform to bears, crows and wolves.
Werewolves are also a part of our folklore, a certain type of berserkers called ulfhedner in the viking age could transform to wolves(ulf).
We got both the evil uncontrolled werewolf and bear shapeshifters, aswell the ones who are in control of them self, in our folklore.
The last stories we have about shapeshifters are from 18th century.
