what matters is faith in God thru Christ. I do not trust near death experiences. too many of them do not fit biblical doctrine so i really do think that they are most likely hallucinations of a dying brain.

If i had a choice of eternity in hell or heaven, i would flip a coin. Its not 100 years. Its not a 2000, 6000, 100,000 or 1,000,000 years. Christianity states simply that you have to take Jesus as your savior and follow his teachings found in the Bible. Christians have no ill will towards anyone else who follows a certain religious structure, such as Islam. Even the Koran recognizes Jesus as a prophet. I don't think God cares too much what any religion calls him, be it Allah or whatever else. It would be nice, however, for all the violence, wars, and killing to end in the name of religion and everyone start to love one another.

I rejected religion after Catholic school in England, 40 years later I discovered there is a God. I still have no religion, I don't need religion to hold a concept of a loving God. But I had to beat myself into a state of reasonableness before I was willing to let go of my old ideas of God.

If i had a choice of eternity in hell or heaven, i would flip a coin. Its not 100 years. Its not a 2000, 6000, 100,000 or 1,000,000 years. Not 4.54 million, a billion, 13.7 billion, 100 billion or even a million billion. It not even a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 (trillion) years long, its a LOT, LOT longer than that. Christianity states simply that you have to take Jesus as your savior and follow his teachings found in the Bible. Christians have no ill will towards anyone else who follows a certain religious structure, such as Islam. Even the Koran recognizes Jesus as a prophet. I don't think God cares too much what any religion calls him, be it Allah or whatever else. It would be nice, however, for all the violence, wars, and killing to end in the name of religion and everyone start to love one another.

If life was created on it's own then where did it get the intelligence to do that on it's own. Life is abstract and cannot think on its own. How can any just "appear" out of nowhere. Everything is perfect and makes too much since for that to be so.

sorry, but everything is not perfect. as i explained to dragonman, life on earth is extremely hostile. 98% of all living things that have ever existed are extinct. earth can only support life on some of its surface, some of the time. you assume that there needs to be something with intelligence to create life. this is not the case. our universe is far from perfect so get that out of your head. once again, stop regurgitating what your pastor is telling you at church and do your own research.

Sry to tell you but my christianity is not a religion but a relationship. I have a PERSONAL relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. I know him and he knows me. There are many muslisms who became christians and there are christians all around the world.

Naw, because chondro20 was saying that I am only christian because of where I live and grew up. And was saing that if I was born in the middle east or something I would be muslim. And I was born here or there I would be this or tht based on what I am exposed to. So I was saying that they are questions all around the world and that does not limit us because we are the truth.

That was kinda cold but alright. Well, it was nice tlking to you. This is what I do. Plus, I can understand where u coming from because I have friends like you. But IDK. I rejected religion after Catholic school in England, 40 years later I discovered there is a God. I still have no religion, I don't need religion to hold a concept of a loving God. But I had to beat myself into a state of reasonableness before I was willing to let go of my old ideas of God.

the other issue i have with this "religion drives people away from god" is that you cant even explain what god is, and you cant sit there and logically say this statement because you dont know what god is, and you cant know what god wants of people, assuming it exists. i have no problem with the POSSIBILITY of a creator, but i do have an issue with it being the christian god, simply because it is the most flawed, lied about, self contradicting religion that has ever existed

@chondro20 No-one can fully define God, no-one can wrap their pint sized mind around the infinite, humans aren't capable. If we start from attributes such as Love and Truth (within the mind) then it starts to take shape but is ungraspable. To fully grasp is to measure, to control and the need to control is a human need but it cannot be alas. The bridge of reason cannot cross the divide.
Its like the brain/mind divide. The closer we try to measure the more meaningless it becomes.

yes actually. love is nothing more than a chemical addiction in the brain. this is only a theory for the moment, but it appears to be an addiction to the hormones. oxytocin and vasopressin as far as quantifying it, no you cant map out a human sense with mathematics.

Im not contradicting anything,,,But if someone is not living for Jesus he or she must be told the truth. They cant live any kind of way they want to and still make it to heaven. The word of God tells us that without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The truth must be spoken, not just what sounds good. But the truth. If someone dies without accepting Jesus Christ they have no hope. We must be born again through the spirit. If a person is living in sin, the wages of sin is death. No hope!!

there are many different definitions of the word.
And I am not subject to your little rules.
I do know the Bible very well, however,
and all one needs to know in order to say

is to read the gospels and look around.
