There is nothing in the Qur'an that tells men to abuse their women, and there is a surah that praises the mother! The reason women cover themselves is to not tempt men, not because they are inferior. This kind of view of the other side can only lead to war. They could have viewed the withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 as another stage on the road to peace, they chose not to.
When a war is fought, especially against an enemy that hides within civilians, civilians die. The Hamas is to blame.

We should be pained for every innocent that gets hurt. The question is whether somebody has invented a formula in which its possible to battle evil without hurting the innocents. One solution is that HAMAS SHOULD STOP FIRING ROCKETS FROM BEHIND ARAB CIVILIANS AND HIDING WEAPONS IN SCHOOLS, MOSQUES, AND HOSPITALS. Hamas is putting their own civilians in harms way by using them as "human shields" and their public/humanitarian facilities as military depots.

Israel does not install military in civilian populations. Yet, Hamas fires rockets on these populations. Hamas fires them from hospitals, universities, mosques, kindergatens, civilian homes. There are training camps and munition caches in these locations as well. There are underground tunnels used for transporting weapons, etc in civilian populations. Hamas is responsible for drawing fire on these targets; they hide behind civilians and have turned these noncombatants into "human shields."
