People who think that all German are Nazis are so stupid

  • When she said DANKYEH! DANKYEH! i thought she was gonna have a FAIL german accent. and she started speaking and I was like :OOOOOO

  • I knew it, she is a nazi!

  • @stupidman403 wow, you really are a stupid man

  • @summerday1983 Vielen Dank fuer deine Antwort!

  • ROFLMAO TURN ON CC then click audio translate. Like so you can see it!

  • LOL i understand it 'cause my language -dutch- sounds like german but wait lol it's weird.

  • She sounds like a native German speaker whose first language has become a bit rusty, probably because she has lived in the States for so long.

There are a few mistakes in the translation above. "....der beste Beweis dafür, dass das Publikum so tolerant ist..." should be "best evidence THAT the public is so tolerant these days that even people..." and NOBODY would say "left into a different world herself". A better translation would be that her mother "passed away" or "departed this life".

  • Hat jemand kein Deutsch ((does anyone else no german))

  • @sjiyuey i dooo(:

  • @juicypop303 dann wirklich etwas sagen

  • @sjiyuey Was willst du mir damit sagen?

  • @juicypop303 haha das ist in Ordnung

  • @sjiyuey was???

  • @juicypop303 nevermind

  • She comes back part of her root speaking German. I love Sandra Bullock, such a talented, intelligence, funny, amazing and beautiful woman, also she has a huge and good heart to donate money in different occasions for the poor! So grateful that she has started dating her co-star Keanu Reeves after 17 years' friendship recently, awesome!

  • Weird to see her speaking another language besides english

  • All I understood was "hund" which I know means "dog" o_o

  • @ThisIsHendrix lol go on

  • wooooow i didn't know she speakes THAT good

Wow, she is just so likable and her german is really good!!

  • Ich liebe Sie ueber alles ! ! !

  • She's part German on her mother's side.

  • @buggerwho12

Who isn't part European in U.S

  • @johnmalory26 Me. I'm Asian.

But I think you meant white Americans. I'd like to point out after several generations living in the U.S., people identify as American culturally. Unless it's English, I doubt few Americans of European descent speak the language of their ancestors anymore.

  • @buggerwho12

Actually i meant celebrities, because a lot of them are from Europe or half 1 European parent (like her)

Even Asians celebrities most of them were born outside U.S or have Asian Parents, they are not like citizen.

  • @johnmalory26 You mean completey westernised? Every citizen of America is a citizen, and there really is no such thing as a "native" American, unless you are talking about the original pioneers, or Native Americans.

I dont care - I still like her

  • She pronounces the German names in south Texas correct....

  • LOL, keep on pressing 9

  • Ohh mein gott!

  • I speak Spanish,English and italian my next language don't know if going to be german or French, BTW I love Sandra.

  • @nes1914 German's going to kick your ass if you know only Romance Languages. Good luck with those cases;)

  • Sandra,ich liebe Dich ! ! !

  • I only know DIE BAYERN!!

  • Bambi Awards? Really?

  • Some people seem to think that German is a harsh language. I think it depends on the tone that's being used and what is being said. This goes for any language, including German.

  • i don't understand any words in German but i guess Sandra's speech is perfect

  • @Olia237 lmao

  • @Olia237 on CEFR (or GER in German) I'd say she is a C1 which is very close to mother tongue level, particularly in pronunciation

  • @Olia237

She's fluent and speaks very clear, almost no accent.

  • she is cute

  • How can people say German is an ugly language? I find it to be rather interesting and I love the sound of it, it makes me think of a waterfall.

  • if 1 is the worst german and 10 the best

sandra bullocks german would be a 8 maibe a 9

and arnold schwareneggers german would be a 4 or a 3

  • @bstonebalboa And his english...maybe a 2 or 3. He just sucks at speaking.

  • @goldAUsilverAG

    Arnold Schwarenegger speaks 0 languages

  • Wow!!!!!!!!! She's even hotter in German!!

  • She sounds to me like a native speaker whose German has become a bit rusty after living in the States for so long - hence the few mistakes ("Sprache" instead of "Rede", wrong genders and word order).

Still excellent, though, and great to hear that there are some stars who are willing to make an effort in other languages.

  • Wow, she can speak German very good, I bet many actor can't do that (Wow, sie kann Deutsch sprechen sehr gut, ich wette, viele Schauspieler können das nicht)

  • @mrtruongdeptrai

Cool online translator, idiot. That word order is nonsensical.

  • @tim035 OK, Whatever

  • @TheRudio2011 Since you are a member of the Ku-Klux-Klan!

  • @TheRudio2011 you sound like a nazi your self

  • Mmmmm, German ... the language of love. :)

  • impressive, that is an awful lot of German to memorize for a person not fluent in it

  • he said I find completely geil that she speaks such a flowing German without itself unbequemlich to fühhlen. Many of the American actresses or the famous people are under pressure, mean I, to look unintelligent. In case of the foreign languages makes me happy particularly much to see A-Promis with obvious intellect

  • I love how so many of the comments here google translated :P

  • @Rhakete i know lol and you can tell easily cause google translate usually gives wrong translations...well all the time

  • Very nice speech Sandra, always gracious!

  • is so cool she went to get the award and not sent one of those lame videos

  • ->> The speech translated (2)

"[...] My mother always told me 'be inventive, Sandra' and when I was a child, it drove me crazy. But now I understand, because my mother was *blablabla I dont speak english good enough to translate* "

this was just a little try for the english people here :)

  • The speech translated (1): "Thank you! Gosh, I am nervous, because overthere on the floor lies my speech. Okay, umm, we live in beautiful times because some time ago I was waitress, then I was cleaning lady, I was a disco dancer, then I was hairdresser for dogs, ..who would have thought that some day all these jobs bring me here on stage, but *applause* but that is the best example for the tolerant audience nowadays that even people like me have a chance. [......] ↑

  • i like german... :p

  • I never said "she was born in Germany. I know she was born in USA, but she lived a short time of her time in Germany. Take it easy, maybe, I didn't explain very well in all that I want to mean. Excuse me :)

  • speak english i know some of us no it

  • What a piece of piss! someone writes it for her and she learns it word for word. ich wolle zu meinen kinderen und mann und agent viele danke sagen und danke auch zu das schon deutch publik,es ist immer schon Deutschand besuchen ,, usual shit ,,etc etc We're s'posed to be impressed?

  • Comment removed

  • @barnbersonol She learns it word by word? Bloody idiot, she is born in Germany, her mother is an opera singer, she lived here until she was 12. Do you really believe she is to dumb to write a speech by herself? To dumb to earn some million dollars? And what do you earn?

  • @Tom1Stein she's part German ... which makes it an even bigger piece of piss, thank you for reinforcing my point now f*** off and be rude to someone else on the internet

  • @Tom1Stein She wasn't born in Germany. She was born in Virginia.

  • @mynameisjonas45 Her mother Helga Meyer was german. She lived in Nürnberg (Germany) until she birth 12 years old with her father and brothers. So, that's the reason why she learned to speak german and nowdays, she speaks very well :)

  • @odracir1986 Sandra Bullock wasn't born in Germany though.

  • @barnbersonol Usual shit? Usual polite words. So who is the rude one talking of "piss"?

  • @barnbersonol Du zitierst Sie falsch.

  • @Calidesidiva: Well, she is almost as native as you can get. There's nothing to be ashamed of... BTW, Bavarian accents are really very cute.

  • Ok. This is really sad for me. I'm half german and I am nowhere near as good as her. Time to get that Rosetta Stone and take some lessons.

  • Cool Sandra. Didn't know she spoke German. Lovely. Wish I had paid more attention in Italian class in high school.

  • wow i didn't know she speaks german! je prends francais et deusch mais je ne connais pas how to speak german very well

  • @caligrl106

    savoir not connaitre

  • somebody answer me!!!! this was in germany right?

  • @caliboy123098 yes it was:-) the bambi is a german award!

  • @xCathamiya ok thanks :) haha its been bugging me all day

  • I am so jealous... Sandra Bullock speaks German so eloquently, I want to have either a Bachelor's or a minor in German. It sounds so strong, I like it!

  • Ach wie nett, unser Mädel in Hollywook :-D

  • Is this really her speaking!! wow never knew she could speak german!!! impressive!

  • @Welcometomylife2441 Yes, that is REALLY her! Her mother is German, and I'm not sure, but her father may also be. And, yes, it is impressive!

  • @Welcometomylife2441 Her mother was german and she spent a lot of time there as a child

  • @superhotdazzling Right, but if everyone should accept their (bad) history then dont forget about the 114 million dead native americans the brits (neo-americans) are responsible for.

  • Is that really a statue of Bambi in the back? What is this awards ceremony for? Animal rights?

  • @jodiescookin1 the Bambi is an media and television price.

  • I wonder if she is teaching her baby German.

  • hassenfeffer

  • How come she knows German?

  • @Shahaira her mom was german, and she lived in germany until she was 12 or something like that.

  • i like the stage set...simple yet classy and not overdone

  • Sandy, i love You,ich liebe Dich ,kocham Cię ! ! !

  • bruce willis ist auch deutscher :D

  • That is fucking badass.

  • OMG she speaks such amazing german....where did she learn this? :D

  • @allisonforfornsed from her mother...

  • @allisonforfornsed Her father was a Cold War spy...for real !

  • Respekt.

  • "Tante Christel, Onkel Heinz" . Herrlich...XD

  • Wow she's good...is it hard to learn German?

  • @oliviarocker123 Maybe, maybe not. Try it ;-)

  • wtf is this?

  • Klingt da Fränkisch raus?

  • @MeisterFalti Ja :)

  • Her mother was a German opera singer and voice teacher.

  • S o fließend!

  • lol Schlag meines abnorm großen Penis Sie nationalsozialistischen Dummköpfe

  • Da liegt meine Sprache???

  • @MrLdbz

"Da liegt meine sprache" = "Da liegt meine rede"..sie hat nen zettel fallen lassen wo ihre rede (ansprache) niedergeschrieben war. Toll das manche nicht deutsch specher die sprache besser verstehen als die muttersprachler.

  • Okaaaay...maybe Im getting off your subject right now....but I wanted to ask: If a german comes to america and speaks english, then how do you feel about it? Is it normal to you, is it funny, is it weird?

Because when I watch these videos where people talk german, I as a german am absolutely happy about it. I dont know why, it just puts a big smile on my face. Not because Im making fun of them, Im just happy about it.

Same with the soldiers that are here, I just love it when they speak german:)

  • What she said in German ?? ..it sounds like quite emotional !

Thanks very much in advance for brief translation.

  • @xstanox111 She says: "Thank you......Man, I´m nervous because there on the floor lies my language" (>I think she means "speech">) "Okay...uhm...what great times do we live in, because once I was a waitress, then a charwoman, then a disco dancer, then a dog coiffeur...Who'd have thunk that these jobs woukd bring me on this stage one day? But thats the best proof that the audience nowadays is so tolerant that even people like me have a chance.

  • My mother always told me: "Be fancy/inventive (>I´m not sure about the right translation>), Sandra!" and it drove me crazy as a child, but now I understand it because my mother was ahead of the times. Phew. And thank god she conveyed me this mentality before she went into other worlds. So, thank you, Dr. Burder (?), my family: thank you Caroline, Christina, Gabriela; Barbara, Maxi: go to bed now (:D) aunt Christel, uncle Heinz thank you; thank you all.

  • @Soyachan: Thanks Soyachan, I appreciate it from you, very much. Your translation is great. Best regards to Germany.

  • @Soyachan Dr. Burda.... Burda Verlag ;-)

  • @Soyachan I think you were looking for "creative" in your first translation. :) Interesting how some of the translations don't always work, isn't it? I was in Berlin once and wanted to translate something for my colleague that was with me, but there was no effective translation for it into English. The bad part is: I can't remember what it was I wanted to translate. I believe it was an idiomatic phrase, but don't know which one... Na ja..:)

  • @BigSkippy1263 I must admit I used an online translator for the words I didnt know and it was one of them. I had different results and didnt know which one was the right one. :)

"Creative" hadnt come to my mind because I think then she could have said "Sei kreativ" But I think its okay to put it in there ^^

Its a pity you dont remember waht you wanted to translate. really made me curious ^^

  • @Soyachan Okay! I listened again. She did say, "Sandra, be original."

Yeah, it's been quite a few years and I still can't remember what the word or phrase was.

    Es macht mich verückt.

  • @BigSkippy1263 *facepalm* Im such an idiot ^^

    Its so obvious ^^

    Thank you.

  • @Soyachan Das braucht kein *facepalm*! Mensch, du denkst in zwei Sprache! Manchmals machen wir fehler. XD

  • @BigSkippy1263 Danke :)

  • perfectly!

    perfekt!

  • @Loganiz1337 yeah she sucks but she shouldnt DIE!

  • @jason854656 oh i dont really speak german to well :p

  • Im learning German n I like it so yea -_-

  • It's so frustrating how EVERY video on YouTube that has anything to do with Germany, has comments regarding Nazis. I can understand why though, because Hollywood has forced it into our heads that when you hear German it's going to be attached to an SS uniform, and the History channel here runs endless loops of WWII footage. I hate to see generation after generation cursed by the past like this. Unfortunately every punk with a keyboard can jump on here and show their ignorance to the world, a

  • wow..i didnt know she could speak german..this is awesome

  • i dont like germany :)

  • Co za asy....

  • I want to learn German so bad !

  • @SparklyyMegan I wanted to learn French and Russian; but I got distracted. I ended up with a fiance and a couple of gorgeous Austrain beaus. I didn't marry any of them...anyway, I taught myself German to prepare for my trip to Austria. People stereotype German as gutteral, especially because of Hitler, but in some regions, it's as melodic as French. When I returned to the States, I took German in college. Everyone told me it's so hard. Don't listen and take the challenge! Wunderbar ist Deutsch!

  • @blueguitarblue funny thing about it is that hitler is from austria not from germany haha

  • @SparklyyMegan me too

  • @SparklyyMegan there are really short and intense courses about the german language, you can find em in berlin.

Its takes about an hour to learn the german grammar and the important words for simple but correct sentences.

Declinations, for example: inventions by english speaking people, coming of the english language, are als used here too in everyday life.

  • @k4k4shl

  • So she is a Nazi? Just kidding!

  • @JOSHTRUS

maybe you just kidding. But its not funny.
