well about a month ago dave said he was close to retiring because his hands and neck are messed up from headbanging and guitar. The next will prob be the last megadeth album... *sad face*

singing that way does damage to the vocals and Dave's vocals aren't gone, they do have damage but aren't gone at all. if you watch certain recordings and pay attention you can see how at times even when he was younger he was tired, That kind singing really strains your voice. other performances i've been to with Megadeth His Voice was awesome and on point other times you can see there's something wrong. Hetfield had the same issue

No, it's nothing to do with the recording. Check out Megadeth at Rock In Rio 2010 and The Big 4, his vocals are gone. He needs his rest.

Yup... I saw them last night at the Long Beach Arena and unfortunately, his voice sounded the same as here, he had to resort to a falsetto which sounded like Mickey Mouse or something and it sounded really bad at times. Especially since his vocals sounded VERY soft during those high notes and VERY LOUD during the low notes, it sounded very choppy and messy....

@thebogeymaniscoming are you even from Portugal?no, then shut up. i went at the concert at rock in rio Lisbon and the drums were fucking nice so as vocals. the production on TV sucks. of course sometimes you could hear Dave doing falsetto but on tv the sound smoothed too much. if you see machine head and Metallica at Rock in Rio 20008, the guitars are low and the snare sucks and you can't hear the growl on vocals. The only thing good is the bass drum and even that sucks.
