I think joey rushed the introduction and knew he had so had to add an extra series of beats to keep in time with the rest of the band, unfortunatly this put mick out afterwards with a few seconds late drum roll. I mean just look at clown and mike, they both look over their shoulder thinking "wtf is hapenning where's this drum roll?" Lets be honest with ourselves their's some serious adrenaline and energy up on that stage, and the rest of the song is awsome!

First of all I love Mick, he's my favorite, but sincerely he messed up. Joey did his thing and Jim as well, but I think he got threw off by something. Respect to Slipknot, this performance still rocks like hell! And I love the old-school jumpsuits :D. \m/

Mick was on timing. Joey was on timing. James messed up mick with his unorthodox intro. mick thought he was off timing and tried to adjust to james. if you could see after he stopped, mick took a glance at james. i could only guess that his facial expression was "Wtf??"

good point @natbarron their only people and people make accidents, plus its great that they could keep the disasterpiece going. anyway that is only like 15 seconds of the song, theres four minutes of flawless music after that. shows ur very negative if u let one wee mistake ruin the song for u

This concert was amazing, and was an honorable and fitting tribute to Paul who will be missed regardless of what the band does in the future. My only complaint is the mix. Joey is fucking buried.

Mick only got threw off time because Joey made it that way.

As a drummer myself, it's very clear to me that Joey's rapid entrance and "show-boating" instead of just playing the normal drum beat was good enough to throw Mick off. Mick actually stayed in time for most of the intro until he realised if he didn't stop, it'd sound like a disaster(piece).

They say that you can judge a musician by what he does when he fucks up and i think they did pretty well to get it back together. I was watching live and was expecting them to stop cuz it was just so out of. PS, Mick didn't fuck up, the others did when they came in around him

its alot harder to play in time when you only have the hi-hat and no vocals to follow. But they did a fucking amazing job at soni. joey and jim did the right thing to stop and listen to mick for the timing. Maggot for life!

@LilDrummer77 Hey, shit happens. At least they didnt stop. They kept playing until everyone got on the same page and then fuckin destroyed. I think James was the one that fucked it up really. It sounded like he was just off a bit from Joey and Mick. But once Corey came in, everything went together perfectly.
