Hey Ron, yes they were great fighting ships with some great crews. I eventually got to the USS Talbot FFG-4 in later years and served as a conning officer on her. That was my favorite tour of my career of 7 ships. Tin Can sailors are a special breed indeed.

I am retired sailor and started my career on one of these old ladies. USS Willard Keith DD775. Lots of memories here, thank you for sharing this one.
