  • yup, i can see myself dying in one of these.

  • That's what I wanna take to work. To hell with tragic. Or traffic is for ground dwellers.

  • Today you are in for $ 30 000. To the cheapest... in France, that's the price ;p

  • The 29 people that voted this video bad are just jealouse !! I,m Like WOW !!!Cool !!!!!

  • If you watched this humming the tune to James Bond you had an awesome childhood.

  • How fast does it go? Thanks

  • @13c11a Cruises around 70-80 mph, but different engines give you different performance.

  • @gshawnadams unit cost sir? and fuel consumption?

  • @SuperAaaaa123456 check out sportcopter dot c o m. I think around $80,000 to $120,000 depending on options... Burns about 6-9 gph

  • Where do the airbags go??

  • @ENTERRAPTURE20 Oh, pleeeaaassseeee! Just - GO AWAY!! (and yes, the Jews will be saved; in case someone told you they would not.)

  • It doesn't need much gas or that large of an engine because only the pusher prop is powered. The main rotors spin on their own.

  • @cracker442 true, but keep in mind that auto-rotating blades are very draggy and it's like having a parachute behind you so you do need power to move forward.. With an underpowered engine, your gyro won't go very fast, thus creating a slower (and less effective) rotor system... Power is always nice and needed.

  • how the hell does an engine and fuel tank fit inside that tiny thing?! o.O

  • whats the run time on them like gas wise

  • i think the wheel was bought in walmart!

  • This is how I am gona propose!! yay!! what an idea....no risk of public humiliation or anything like that....if chick says no I'll threaten to push her off my copter. =D it's almost guaranteed yes!

  • would be a shitload of fun!

  • How do you get one?

  • “Mork calling Orson, come in Orson…”

  • How much? :)

  • VTOL capable?

  • @jjswimmer2014 Not unless you're taking off into a 50 knot headwind .....

  • does it come in other colors?

  • How does it even have room for a fuel tank?

  • OMG, I want one!

  • Is this a "copter" or a "autogiro" (God bless DeLa Cierva)?

  • would love to be able to buy one of these

  • Stop bashing shit because you cannot afford it.

  • Me likey! If you like stuff like this check out Mech-Sci.com!

  • SportCopter 2...the most fun you can have before smashing into the ground.

  • A tin can that flies... just what we need.

  • Um..., yeah, santa... I have been REALLY good this year.

  • @babieolivesteve you're a hideous faggot, that's an unfunny joke, kill yourself please.

  • @Warvancrusade take it easy dickmilk.

  • @Warvancrusade whoa whoa batwing. why are you pissed at him/her?

  • It is a dream for me ...it's always going to be a dream. :((

  • waw

  • Cute.

  • this "flying eggs" is ugly

  • the angle of the top blades should be forward not back because it will absorb the hele to the back

  • @hamza98888 well, this one is able to do a vertical takeof, something it would not manage if the top propeller were angeled forwards

  • @hamza98888 With a helicopter, the rotor disk tilts forward so it can translate some of its lift into forward motion. With a gryocopter as seen in this video, the rotor disk acts like a helicopter that has lost all power, and in an in auto-rotation, using the air as the helo falls to keep the rotor disk spinning. If it was not tilted back, it would just fall out of the sky. Since the main rotor is not powered on this, as it is tilted backwards, it is "falling" through the air keeping the RPM up

  • i thought this is a hamming bird... heheheh

  • ladybug xD

  • This little bird looks funny , anyway I may buy one for my ex-wife . I wished she will fall from the sky without parachute ! LOL !

  • the roflcoptor

  • It's an Illusion generated by computer! NO ONE has ever flown..... it's all a hoax

  • @gettingahandle Agreed.... The Wright brothers created their illusion with an abacus.. lol

  • @JaleelJohanson62 Indeed, they were working for the illuminati, as part of the new world order master plan. Create the illusion of total air supremicy, and you can rule the world

  • @gettingahandle The bastards! I did a little digging and discovered that Orvill and Wilbur's last name was originally Rothchild!!

  • @gettingahandle - the simple law of aerdynamics will prove your statement false. cheers.

  • @gnowyrneh It only aplies to birds and flying insects. If man could fly he would have wings. Now I'm off to club a dodo. I'm hungry.

  • @gettingahandle it seems the only dodo bird around here is yourself. Google Ken Brock for some insight about autogyros before responding and sounding like a fool. Oh, too late.

  • @gnowyrneh Ken Brook clealy works for the new world order. His face is merely used in computer simulations, and you know it!

  • I want one.

  • I like my gyro's with banana peppers!

  • Very Cool, Fly Little Egg.

  • Auto gyro isn't new it's like 80 years old!!

  • @theantiredneck Yup, it's an auto-gyro and not new.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome Copter :)

  • Looks like something Noddy would have....does it come with a bell?

  • wow, thats cute, thats compact and I must say.....VERY STABLE.

Wish I could get one like that... :-(

  • i want one

  • How much does it cost?

  • @Eligoliveira Not sure... In the high $80,000 or $100,000. Check with SportCopter. They could give you more specifics

  • what prevents gyros from spinning around uncontrollably?

  • @HunterExploder The main rotors are unpowered, so they create no torque...

  • @gshawnadams

Only downside is you can't hover an autogyro and I'm not certain you can autorotate it either. Older autogyros were designed more like gliders. I think you could glide them to a landing if the main engine failed. This, I'm not so sure.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview They most certainly can autorotate to a safe landing, hence the name.. They are ALWAYS autorotating.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview lol why do you suppose the blades are spinning in flight?

  • @danwes10 duh.. autorotation

  • @gshawnadams No shit! That was my point...duh autorotation

  • @danwes10

How do I know those blades generate enough lift in an engine failure to safely get you back on the ground? There must be some disadvantage to not having a powered main rotor as supposed to being in a regular helicopter right?

  • @bigtruckseriesreview I'm not a gyro pilot, although am a helicopter pilot. I would hypothesize that it is easier to get a gyro to the ground power off than a helicopter. The reason I say that is that if a helicopter is flying along and the engine fails the pilot has to recognize the failure and react by immediately dropping the collective before the rotor rpm has decayed too far. In a autogyro, I assume, that the pilot just pitches for some specified airspeed to complete the auto to the grnd

  • @danwes10 You're exactly right.. If the engine fails, just keep doing the same thing, but pitch down a bit to maintain airspeed when you get about 100' from the ground.. otherwise, you can do whatever you want in the auto with no danger. even a straight vertical or even backwards flight. Just get forward airspeed so you can flair to the ground... I too fly helicopters and a power failure in a gyro does not bother me. have had 2 with nice landings....

  • awesom gyr!

  • Amazing

  • Esse ai vem no kinderovo?

  • how much you reckon sumin like@ cawst?

  • ever seen mork and mindy? kinda reminds me of that

  • It looks like an Ants head.

  • @gshawnadams I used to fly many many years ago. I'm retired.

  • @gshawnadams your so right. It's been long long time ago......

  • @mymd11 You fly?

  • @ sh0werp0wer first you need to get a medical certificate. That would be the key ticket as a student pilot certificate. You need to take a written private pilot gyro exam. Once you completed 40 hrs of flight time you are eligible to take the flying exam.

Once you pass, you will have private pilot cert. Gyro. But you may want to check with FAR, to see if you can fly with sports/ glider cert. The total cost for flight training is about $8k depending on how talented you are. Good luck

  • @mymd11 Don't confuse this with a GA license.. I believe this can be flown on just a sport license which does not require a medical.. just 15 hours of dual flight instruction and a written test...

  • @gshawnadams and that is a frightening proposition, in a day where people make left-hand turns from the right lane and can't figure out how to use a turn signal.

  • @mymd11 Thats for G.A.

  • @mymd11

Flying an unregistered aircraft may make one responsible for a civil fine. Civil fine and civil damages are the exact same thing. They might sue you for damages, lol!

  • They look brilliant I would imagine them to be very noisey though ?> thanks for posting

  • You're living the life brother. May you soar to your heart's content.

  • max speed and altitude?

  • Price?

  • Nice landing!

  • If Sh0werp0wer really wants to become a pilot he would first have to learn to spell " LISENCE"...stupid ignorant...

  • 15 to 20 hours in an AUTOGYRO!?

Gimme a break, why not just skip the BS and get either a sport plane, or a helicopter?

  • How much does these cost? And what lisence do you need to fly them? I would love to have one of these, I just hope you don't need some crazy ass lisence to fly it

And can you land it anywhere? I mean as long as it's pavement or relatively flat, I mean it lands in about 3-4 meters so you wouldn't need a landing strip?

  • @sh0werp0wer Landings can be in a small space, but with no wind, you do need a little room for takeoff. You need a light sport gyrocopter license to fly one of these... If you're coordinated, you can get it in 15-20 hours of flight instruction and a written test... and they are very fun....

  • @gshawnadams but how much do they cost

  • Gyro are so dangerous.I can't understand why people still pilot and want to make this kind of flynig things...

Gyro joins the cons of elicopters to the cons of airplanes....

  • @Autan4 you're actually stating the opposite.. they are extremely safe.. They have less moving parts than both airplanes and helicopters and use the best of what both aircraft have to offer..... do some research and you'll see.. good luck

  • awesome how do you go about getting to fly one of these things?

  • @FreindlyMantis google SportCopter

  • Looks a hellova alot safer than some of those nutty flying car concepts out there.

  • A true to life egg beater.

  • please tell me how much

  • WANT!

  • this is retarded, why are we still driving cars?

i mean look at it.. it could fit in a garage, fuel consumption is about the same.. looks easy..

i want one, swapping my car!

  • You know, I'd guess it's around 4-5 gallons per hour... Top speed is somewhere in the range of 80-110mph.

  • @gshawnadams how much did this cost you?

  • what is top speed and cruising fuel economy?

  • Looks good ,sounds good seems to fly good, does it have a good price tag?

  • @Taildragger2411 $ 25,000

  • @z0pwn Not really. Gyroplanes work by the air flowing through the main rotor system. When there is no air flowing through the rotors, the rotors lose their speed. However, gyroplanes can descend vertically because this causes air to flow upwards through the rotor. They can also sometimes "hang" on the prop, but this is not recommended because at low altitudes and low airspeeds, this is VERY dangerous if your engine fails.

  • i am a noob, i am 17 and recently decided that i want to be a pilot. do you need a pilot liscense to fly this? if so how do i get one?

  • @H3spangler I am a soon-to-be instructor in gyroplanes, and yes, you do need a license, however, many of the gyroplanes out there right now are capable of being flown under "sport pilot" rules. This means you only need 20 hours of flight time to become a pilot in one. Gyroplanes are incredibly fun to fly, and with the right design, I believe they are the safest aircraft out there. However, be very careful of which model you decide to fly! Many of them are not safe aircraft.

  • @H3spangler I have met the designer of the sportcopter, and, although I haven't flown his machine, from our talks, he seems like he knows gyroplane design fairly well.

  • One of the neatest designs for gyros I've seen.

  • Your pretty much right on. Bases on the type of engine, your looking around the 100k mark

  • These arent exactly "simple" as some people put it. You are combining the characteristics of a plane with rotor blades... that autogyate.

The cost of something like this... I cant be exact, but it does look to be manufactured by a company... so somewhere around 40-100 grand.

  • i have been trying to figure who stole all my lawnmower parts

  • I see no reason for it to be fake. It's a perfectly functioning Gyro-Copter. They been around for decades.

  • If the main rotors do not spin by a motor, then how does such a vehicle lift off?

  • @jerryfinsternumber9 the main rotors are airfoils.. Just like an airplane wing.. they are just rotating in a circle rather than flying flat through the air like an airplane... Google "autogyro" or "gyroplane".

  • @jerryfinsternumber9 wikipedia Autorotation.

  • @brenthoser99 lol

  • cost?

  • so cool yet so simple, no need for complex gearboxes, reductors. probably you can build one in your garage without much problem, too bad i don't have a garage...

  • i want one how much are they

  • Looks like a big red egg but must be fun to fly.

  • if they sell the flying cars now people will have to go to flying school just like driving school to learn how to fly and drive.

  • Deszo Molnar just patented one of these into a "Flying Motorcycle". It is actually a trike, but it is pretty cool. He is working on making multi designs of these.

  • looks like a flying BBQ

  • wow that's so cool.

  • 20 peole are jealous ;D

  • how much would one of those cost?

  • AUTOROTATION....? okey...sorry my mistake....need to do some research...hehehehhe

  • @neillouiep the top rotor provides the lift but is not actually powered. the main rotor would be the small one at the back of the passenger that provide the forward force. Google autogyros, they've been around since the 70's.

  • @8tgr They've actually been around since the 20's.. First one flew in 1923 in Spain.

  • @neillouiep You must have not read the description.. This is an AutoGyro.. There is NO power to the main rotor, therefore no torque is created. The main rotors are always in autorotation and not connected to the engine... No need for a tail rotor...

  • @neillouiep WTF is with all these guys coming on youtube and systematically claiming every consept fake. And on top of that, their only justification is that they never seen it before so because of their limited capacity for innovation, it cant be real.

For example I cant physically see "AIR" but we all know it's there and its obviously transparent. LOL

  • @MicRuLerZ exactly....

  • @MicRuLerZ i haven't seen "AIR" SO It must be fake!

  • @fatdrood LOL you got me

  • @neillouiep Not to mention the NOTAR's helicopters. NOTAR is deraved from NO TAil Rotor.

Unlike the Autogyro the NOTAR does have a main rotor that is powered by engine torque and produces a counter torque on it's fuselage. The compensation is been given by regulating the exhaust through the tailsection in sutch a matter that it'll produce a counter torque like a tail rotor would.

Just search around on youtube and you'll find plenty of movies explaining this principle. Same for Autogyros BTW.

  • So what about the NOTAR? They also have NO TAil Rotor (hense the name NOTAR). Main rotor is engine driven and produces torque on fuselage as any normal Helicopter. The torque is compensated by regulating the air exhaust throughthe tailsection thus creating anti-torque. Advantage is that they can't have a anti-torque failure. If thay do fail; it'll mean that the engine fails and; like any helicopter; it'll become an autogyro while landing. Just search on youtube for principles. :-)

  • @neillouiep you fail

  • can it do loops or rolls?

  • I want one. Can you tells us what the service ceiling and flight duration are?

  • @chuanist I believe its about 10-12,000 MSL and 3-4 hours...

  • @gshawnadams Now I really want one.

  • Seems a lot cheaper than a $30k car

  • what's the weight limit on this thing? It looks cool to commute to work...

  • How much?

  • this looks kinda fake

  • @abcdefg82264 It's not, but take it for what you want...

  • 0:53 IT'S A BEAR FLYING THIS THING!

  • enough arguing like 5 year olds where do i get one

  • I'm sure it's a kit! How much was it and how long did it take to put together?

  • man this is freaking cool, how much is this? I live in Indonesia,, is there this copter seller in Indonesia?

  • Klassniy Vert! U nego kren vinta nazad

  • Must get

  • i want...

  • Extremely cool but u wouldn't get me in that... Run out of fuel or the engine decides to drop out and ur free falling a few thousand feet... At least with a plane or ultralight if something goes wrong u can glide to a safe zone. These things just drop like a stone..

  • @BlastItWithPi55 Actually they glide about the same as a fixed wing airplane and can land in a smaller distance with not engine. They are extremely safe... You must not realize that the main rotor on top is NOT powered it is spun by the wind and will continue to if the engine (that pushes it forward) fails.. It will autorotate safely to the ground.. Thats the beauty of an AutoGyro.

  • CORRECT but you MUST FIRST practice and KNOW EXACTLY HOW to use the main rotors to land safely YOU ONLY get one chance. You allow the rotors to rotate as air passes then at the LAST second before you hit the ground YOU pull rotors OPPOSITE to slow your landing, YOU KNOW those things that fall off trees and spin to the ground? its the same principal BUT if those leave could REVERSE blade thrust at the last second it would hit ground smoothly.

  • @grantallen2011 You're confusing an autogyro with a helicopter.... Autogyro rotors do not change pitch and you do not need to do anything but flair and land... It's actually common practice to shut the engine down and land with no power.. very simple and very safe....

  • @gshawnadams Funny how fixated the people are on choppers, isn't it? They dont understand autogyros. Maybe if they see one with small wings, they think that its safer :)

  • @grantallen2011 And you get 2 chances in aeroplane without power? What cloud do you live on?

  • @gshawnadams how big would a normal auto gyro be? and how much would it weigh

  • @gshawnadams

How can it glide better than a helicopter does in autorotation? Helicopters can achieve 4:1 when doing max glide range autos with low rotor rpm. Planes are around 10:1

  • @BlastItWithPi55 Lolz. This type of flying machine is the safest you'd find. No balloon, blimp helicopter or plane with wings comes close to the safety of an autogyro.

  • @BlastItWithPi55 You have no idea what you are talking about! At least do some research before you comment. Gyro's have quite a good glide ratio, better than a parachute actually.
