  • Many thanks for uploading this awesome track!!! It was one of my favourite tunes from 1994 and now it brings back my good old memories :-)

  • Happy days at Skank before it went shit around early 1995.

  • Aye, many a good night was had doon there. The all-nighter with Billy Nasty being one of the best along with Dean Thatcher.

Honorable mentions should also go to the Tunnel parties down the beach front.

  • Always wonder how a night dedicated to that sort of music would go down nowadays...don't know whether it's us looking through rose tinted specs or if the music truly was better then.

  • True, Dave Begg had a classics night down at The Tunnels a wee while ago, I never went, so I'm not sure how it went. Origin had an old skool night a few weeks back as well. I remember they also had them at Kef. They had the Spin-masters playing a set and there was hardly anyone in the place (mind you, Optimo was playing next door at Drummonds at the same time so that might have had an effect on numbers.

  • Maby music was just more experimental then, people warnt afraid to try diffrent things! its like all producers get riffs from the same software these days, think e was better them days also, added to the mood maby........

  • Billy Nasty was the God back then..!

  • ive been trying to get jay 2 hold a skank reunion for about 5 years, says he's 2 old haha,do u ken if ronnie pacitti or nick arthur are still in abz? ive been blastin old nasty tapes heaps lately and kilkie at the craigmyle, the memories!!!!!

  • @mightysoc

Ronnie Pacitti is starting a new club night soon at The Tunnels I think.

  • @DJAB41 Ive been to, and played at, a few old school nights and it doesnt translate now - to todays kids it sounds dated and were all getting too old to recreate that old school vibe. I would say we just have the memories but that would be a bit of a lie in my case - for some reason I cant quite put my finger on I have little recollection of most of those nights, all i have is boxes of records and the knowledge it was a unique time oin the the British music and social landscape.

  • @DJAB41 spot on matey, although for me personally the entire scene went down the shitter circa 1993-4.

  • @DJAB41 Yeah mate those we're the days. The last great night at Skank was the Mrs Wood allnighter. I was pure buckled and I was apparently chewing on glowsticks and puking some weird colours!

  • GREAT BAND

  • Cheers TMF, Thanks for uploading, like an early christmas present!

  • Yer more than welcome, H&G.

It's an auld Skank classic. ;-)

  • one of my favs.

  • I prefer the non-vocal version of this personally. But haven't heard the vocal in many, many years so nice to hear this version anyway.

  • I always loved this tune. nice upload!
