Here is a different opinion I am not very well educated when it comes up to music but this piece is wondeful. In layman's terms (my terms) its very smooth and the softer notes seem to heal the soul.

This is Neuschwanstein castle its based in Bayern Germany and open for the public. Two things that make this castle famous: 1 Disney actually used it as inspiration for their Cinderella castle. 2 It was the home of King Ludwig II of Bavaria who only enjoyed it for a couple of months after he was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

@Rickeeey1 Thanks buddy! I have been composing since my late teens, but it has become much more serious the last couple of years. I have relative pitch, I never tried learning recognizing different keys. And finally, I know a good deal of music theory and music history, but there is always a lot more to learn. :)

Great piano piece. For me this is the great polyphoni of Bach combined with the lightness of Mozart and Haydn and then the dramatic voice of Beethoven in your own personal mix. It seems like you have a never ending source of wonderful piano pieces.

When I listen to this I am transported back to the times of the world's greatest composers - Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, ect... I can imagine them playing this piece in front of an audience. It's beautiful!

This brings back a stark memory of visiting Hohenschwangau as a foreign exchange student in college - couldn't find the road leading up to Neuschwanstein Castle, so I climbed the very steep hill to it, with great trepidation, and took a few tumbles before reaching what seemed an inaccessible and very mystical image in the sky.  lol This composition captures that memory most vividly! Love it! :D

Absolutely fabulous, I believe I'll be humming the theme all day now! That "explosion" and change of mood at 1:48, the wistful bit at 2:20, the major part just before the end (I thought it would end in major but then - the surprise..!) super. I agree that each listener should interpret this for themselves, but actually I'm curious to hear your description. What inspired you to write this lovely piece of music?

Well, I think this spawned from another composition which I've put on hold for the moment, atleast the idea.

I was initally drawn to compose something vigorous and contrapuntal when I did this. The mid-section just came naturally as a counterpart to the rest. A more wistful part as you so perfectly put it!
