  • sory for the 3 comments :p

  • @tecnomusic5616 dont worry about it :)

  • I`m from Quebec and I`m not proud of the block Quebecois because only Quebecers can vote for them so they will never win. So they are there for nothing :( But when I turn 18 I will vote for th NPD.

  • @tecnomusic5616 I agree, the bloc should run canadates outside of quebec, and be the only fully french party instead of a quebec 1st regional one with secessionist tendences, which they arent seriuos about, cuz if they were as serious on secession like Sinn Finn in Ireland, they wouldn't take those seats in Ottawa and qoubec be indepedent by now. Glad ur voting new democract, would you vote Labour too if they meagerd with the liberals? In quebec, make sure you vote PQ or QS, but I prefer PQ.

  • The Conservative party is weaker together than it was apart - they get less votes than the PC + Alliance (Reform) did before.

I personally would support more parties, PR, and coalition governments, not an American style system where neither party is really that different (centre right vs. right).

  • well mate, after 93 the PCs and refrom failed to from any goverment, they only were sucessful when they united as one.

Whill that will likly not be the case with the left, as the liberals will hav a goverment in the future, uniting to from a stonger party like the right did isnt a bad idea, especailly with majority govements becoming a thing of the past as long as the Bloc is around.

    I miss the PC party.

the fact is that less is more as parties go, money wise, etc.

  • I agree with you bout coalition goverments, as one should be in place now, and there will be one in the future no doubt.

I dont support PR for the lower house, I think the current system for the lower house is alright, as it can create majorities, not deadlocks. It can be better and better refromed though, more based on population.

  • the senate as I said should be based on provinces, and I bet most will use PR to chose their senators. I bet the senate will evolve into this muti province party organ.

and believe me, Canada is different, and will be different from the USA, as it is a center left country, and unlike the USA, has a minimum three party system in the lower house.

  • what is you opinion on a canadian republic?

  • Support.

  • excellect.

what method would you use to replace the GG and the Lt. Govenors?

  • Likely keep the positions as checks on the PMO and Premier's office and look into ways to change the appointment process (perhaps an all party committee or senate). I think there's value in having a non-partisan check in place at that level.

  • I'd rename the GG the Chasellor(sp?) and the Lt. G's the Vice Chansellors(sp?).

the VC's will be chose as they are now, that role of GG doesnt change.

the way the C is appointed will be chosen by the senate, they can hav one of several canadates, and then one are appoited by the PM.

  • The C must be apolitical! if they act in such a way that favors one political party over another, the senate can remove them from office, and the C must hav the confidence of the senat to rule, which is made up of provincail parties, and thus parties of various ideals, which the C must hav the confedence of all of these groups, or lose their job.

so they cant veto liberal bill after another for example.

  • The C will be elected to a 7 year term which can be renewed by the Senate/PM.

otherwise, they act just like a GG.

thats how I would do it.

    good idea?

  • agreed, how bout my plan?

  • I also think Canada should hav a new level of goverment I dub the communitys, which give regoins like Quebec more autonomy, and act somewhat like a united upper house.

  • disagree we need someone either then the prime ministerto decide what happens if somthing like the coalition prorogue stuff goes on again but it should be that each provinicial and territorial government member gets a vote so that the choice is being made by someone elected

  • hm, tell me more?

  • in the senate, they would already have a choice in the matter. Even more so if we adopted a South African model for the senat, and give my proposed communities a vote.

  • i think there should be choice beyond the senate esspecially since senates are federal party based if the provinces choose then its the next highest level of gov making the desission hopefully on whats best fro their area

  • well they can't choose everything.

mate can you work on your spelling, it hard to know what your talking about.

  • You spend too long on each graphic and don't underline what each logo is for those who don't know.

As for the Labour Party: the libs will never join, they don't support labour.

  • thank you

but i do think that one day the parties will hav to meage, its the only way to match the tories in the long run.

  • Nonsense, the answer to our countries problems is never less democratic choice. We need a new electoral system that accurately represents the parliament Canadians want. If the NDP merges with the Libs and become a centrist/centre-left party, I will either not vote or spoil my ballots - and so will many more Canadians.

  • i disagree, look at belgium, thet hav resonabity sloved there ethinc differences with the community system.

The Senate should be equal, effictive and provincail, the provinces should chose their senators, and most will likly do it thur PR voting.

if anything a liberal/ndp meager will create a neoliberal, socail democratic party, and will be stonger togerther as one than divided as two.

  • ONLY ONE Great Party.

The Canadian Action Party with Connie Fogal.

    UN SEUL Grand Parti.

Le Parti de l'Action Canadienne avec Connie Fogal.

  • not really sure bout them, wiki says they are both populist and progessive

  • both? huh? I said Canadian Action Party.

ONLY one. Go check this party, you will not be deceived.

I'll name populist parties: L'ADQ, Action Démocratique du Québec, and NDP, New Democratic Party.

  • the NDP isnt populist.

ADQ is, and is the only consevative or populist party I can stand.
