  • is there no simple way to remove the scratch plate, im 14 and have no chance of putting it back together, i would like to know if it is possible to just unscrew the scratch plate and slide it out, or alternatively a easier way to remove it.

  • @stringbeanX its a souldering Iron, and to reattach it you would use souldering wire.:)

  • if i was to remove the scratchplate on a jazz bass guitar would i need to mess around with the eletrics and would it cause damage to my bass?

  • Type Allparts into google or wdmusic. Both supply scratch plates in the UK. I've used both companies with no problems.
