  • looks like a piece of junk

  • So if u use the glass you have 1 intake fan and 11 exhaust fans with a tiny amount of ventilation at the top (which is also suppose 2 be exhaust) then isn't it pointless to even have the intake fan cuz the other fans will do all the work

  • aluminium chassis. fail

  • I love the idea, of it, but at this price and the amount of mods needed not worth it.

First and above all else, almost the entire water system looks cheap. WTF were they thinking mixing copper and aluminum, tsk tsk. as keithallenlaw mentioned. those rads are small and thin, First thing would be to fit in a pair of 3x120mm rads, get a decent waterblock like the Luna or Apogee. and upgrade all the fittings and tubing to 1/2". I'd probably upgrade the pump, and disable the one in the res.

  • amazing case but too expensive.

  • Sorry Rod but I respectfully disagree with your 100% kick ass

    rating.

Why??? Because you know good and well that mixing metals in a

water cooled system is a recipe for contamination. What ever you

choose for a material make sure it's the same. My system is all

copper from the rad to the cpu, nb, and GPU block.

ALL ONE MATERIAL! Surprised you missed this Rod.

  • is the waight 12.7kg whit or whitout the water cooling

  • It's pretty hard to take his reviews as reviews. It's more of a showcase as he, in no way, tries to be critical. He only shows the case up, and tells you about the features.

So as far as i see this, it's commercials. Not reviews.

  • damn its 450 bucks... more expensive than my phenom x6 :(

  • @manyakols9

The x6 is quite a cheap processor.

And this case is in no way worth the price. You can get an Obsidian with a better liquid cooling system for about the same price.

    1. Better case.

    2. Better cooling.

    3. Better looks.

But then, the looks is personal. And Ikonik's cases looks, really, old. Something i'd expected quite a few years ago.

  • Stop whining about the price. Take any air cooled Full tower and add water cooling. 300 dollars at least. The amount of features you get with this case I would say 420 dollars is a steal.

  • @LightningPC101 Full aluminum, pre installed water cooling system, fan and temperature monitoring and control by software (SIM), beautiful desing, tool-less, anti vibration inserts for HDDs and PSU... you are absolutely correct, the price is perfect.

  • The water cooling looks really cheap...

  • @kop4321 Check out the reviews and testing for this case. It performs better than most water cooling kits!

  • his talking... makes... me.... lol.

  • @EnforcedProduction u re right!!

  • where can i buy this?

  • @mohsun123 frozen CPU . com

  • Can you use anti- freeze?

  • hahaha case is $420 usd...

Great case but really overpriced. I wouldent pay more then 140 for a case

  • @EnforcedProductions subtract the water cooling. and go for the smooth version. under 200 dollars. its also all aluminum.

  • @EnforcedProductions

Dude. A good case is worth alot. As you keep it around for quite a few builds.

But this case is not worth it, very low end watercooling, combined with low end chassi.

My biggest mistake was to buy a cheap case before. Which is now fixed and changed with my Obsidian 800D.

  • @511V325731N Dont worry about cases bro, i ended up going with the Antec 1200. Iv had my computer for about a month and have never seen temperatures to good inside a case. Great buy get it ;D

  • @EnforcedProductions

Oh dear god. I used to have a 900, 1200 with well, 2 less 120mm fans. Which means, less noise.

It was horrible, utterly horrible. I used to wake up feeling bad about it. Now it stands in the back of my room, to make me remember the bad choices we made when we were young. I haven't even bothered screwing it together.

Antec's hundred series might be the worst line of cases ever made.

  • @511V325731N you must have a real serious problem with noise. I dont care for noise, but its different for everyone...

  • @EnforcedProductions

Actually i quite enjoy the fan-noise. The noise-levels didn't disturb me much in my case, but i can't say that most people shared that opinion.

The case looks awfull, you can't get a really tidy build, and yeah. It was meant for 13 year old CS-kids. Sure, when i was 13 the Blue LEDs was awesome. And so i bought it. A decision i hated myself for.

It's like buying cheap headphones. Never a good idea, better to spend cash on better ones. And the same with PSUs.

  • @511V325731N This will definitely be the first and last LED case i will ever own in my lifetime. Absolutely hate them very much, but what can i do right? Replace all the fans... Cant even be bothered to do so.

:D Led's are not chill but rather annoying when you are in the dark

  • @EnforcedProductions

Or just remove them, or atleast cut the power to it, ain't that hard.

And swapping the fans is a good thing, not only to get the LEDs away, but to improve airflow (The antec fans kinda suck on that. Weak as hell.)

You can get Scythe Slipstreams for like 8bucks a piece, a bargain for how they perform. Thinking of getting a few for my Obsidian 800D

  • seems nice

  • from looking at your first vids you lost like 50lbs really you look like you weigh like 160lb

  • *facepalm* yes

  • i love that thing this tower is fucking ridiculus awesome tower---5*****

  • Corsair Obsidian 800D ftw

  • corsair obsidian is the best looking case on the market, and has the best cable management of any case i have ever seen...corsair obsidian 800d ftw indeed

  • not the best for air cooling tho :P

  • yea it is its got the best of both, plenty of space for a 3x120 radiator at the top, but you could also put 3 120 mm exhaust fans, and it has designated heat chambers, plenty of intake on the bottom, you could set up a very nice air cooling sytem with the corsair 800d

  • lol no it isnt. there is only 1 intake fan = negative pressure..

  • no theres intake fans on the bottom, theres like 3 i think, maybe two, but there isnt negative pressure corsair wouldn't be that absent minded, especially considering its a 300 dollar case

  • no there are only 1 intake fan at the bottom.. does not matter how many other fans are intake.. in the end there is only 1 intake hole

  • theres 2 at least, and one intake on the inside on the side, it pulls air from the other window on the case that has ventiallation on the back, look it up

  • no there isnt :/

  • are you kidding me? ok, 1 intake fan at the very bottom, 140mm, 1 intake on the hard drive cage bringing air from the back, and another intake fan on the inside of the case pushing air up into the main chamber, know your facts dude

  • that intake is gonna get air from the intake of the bottom. and where do you see another intake on the side? all you see is a side window

  • the other intake is attached to the hard drive cage, it too drags air from the bottom and also from the other side of the case, hard to explain but trust me, there isnt negative pressure in this case

  • what side?? pls look the vid of a corsair obsidian and clearly there are no vents at the side panels. also yes the fan will drag air from the bottom but there is only 1 intake hole at the bottom

  • if you are looking at the case from the front, the right side panel (cable management side) has venting slots at the back of the door for the purpose of cooling, im pretty sure thats where the hard drive fan draws air from, and this is made possible by the cable management cover on the fan and hard drive connector PCB

  • no, that venting is for the exhaust

  • ok take this to inbox...

  • rofl? :P

  • Can a GTX 480 or any quad radiator fit in the interior of the "smooth" version of this case?

  • Push Me :)

  • The amount of 80mm fans in this case is insane. Must be really noisy....

  • I like this case, but the smooth version because the liquid version its to expensive, booth cases so perfect to build a QuadFire System =D

  • Could you please give me the name of the smooth ver. Sandmangoslayer? ty

  • Just looked at the Antec 1200 in comparison to this case, and...

    Antec 1200: Eww

    This case: PWNAGE

  • Price.

  • The case is so great but the price is terrible

  • Dont like the door :( thats all i dont like

  • Looks like the feet are made of plastic so rubber feets would have also been nice

  • best tower ever

  • Damn Duh the russians are kickin ass, first with ikonik, then with this sportscar "marussia" but i liked more my old "USSR"

    awesome video review 5*

  • Looks perfect. Only thing I don't like about it is that they didn't paint the inside black.

  • @Morgansaur I love the black interior. It makes components really pop compared to the bare steel look.

  • Holy shit, this case is... this case is god.

I don't like the water cooling setup so when I buy it i will remove all the water cooling options except the rads and install a kickass Koolance setup to cool my 1300W beast.

  • not really if ur looking for cooling, go with antec 1200, it has many fans and a huge 220mm fan on the top.

  • I'm looking for a sexy case and cooling

  • btw what do u need 1300watts for?

  • my future waste of money

  • overclocking

  • i know but u can still overclock alot with a good cpu cooler.

  • Antec 1200 sucks.

More options for about the same price which are both better looking and have more features and cooling.

  • hell no the antec 1200 is the best case.

    and its really cheap.

it has the best cable management imo

    many cooling fans.

    and blue led.

the ikonik cost lijke 600 dollars, no cable management and it kinda sucks.

also it sexy. u have know idea what ur talking about.

  • I do.

I'm talking about Cooler Master and Lian li.

  • @coolguyallday It is most certainly not the best case.

  • Antec 1200 is old now. There are so many better cases than it for e.g. This Case!

  • this case is only for looks imo

  • yeah, and most people have either antec 900 or 1200 (including me lol). so i fyou want to get attention at a LAN party or such as, you should get this, because of the watercoling (blue flow) and 10 fans with blue lights :P its also a much more elegant and sexy case than the antec series =P

  • This case costs €310...

    no thanks.

The Antec 1200 & Lian Li cases are much better value.

  • @BetaOverclocking Antec is shit

  • NICE

  • it doesn't even cool

  • what do u mean??

  • man this is nice

  • $400 for a case? Umm no thank you.

  • comes with liquid cooling tools tho

  • looks kinda junky, tbh my air cooling setup does about the same temps as this case

  • prefer the silverstone TJO7 case

  • im not sure why, but you seem like an antec 1200 case guy.

    lol :P

  • thats my old case ive had that name for a few years

  • i REALLY want this case for my next rig... but cant find it ANYWHERE for sale.. can somone help me out?

  • Can't find this in europe :(. Liquid that is.

  • nice case but its pricey

  • I would like to see how this compares to the Thermaltake Xpressar RCS100. Water cooling vs R134a refrigerant cooling.

  • Rodney your video's are always very professional. 5 ***** I always know who to go to if in the market for something.

  • LOL

    that's funny.

  • Price: $419.99 [Newegg] [25-06-2009]

  • These Ra X10 cases are REALLY good except for ONE thing, the sidepanels, it's a b*tch trying to get them on and to stay on. But otherwise these cases are really 100% kickass as Rodney says.

And also, the "Smooth" version can only fit 2 80mm fans, and comes included with 2x80mm, 1x120mm and 1x140mm.

  • just a small point its a liquid cooling case not an actualy liquid case, obvious i know but some people are pretty stupid

  • Oh and I just looked at this case on Newegg and it says "received top ratings by 3dgameman" in the red text under the product name. Congrats rodney.

  • Man i wish I had this case. Its bomb ass.

  • Wow.. I'm sold on this one.

  • How much can I OC a core i7 975 with this WC?

  • You could easily get it up to at least 3.8Ghz-4Ghz at least.

  • Uploaded twice?

  • wow, beastin case, 5/5

  • aluminium radiators and copper watterblock makes good conditions for corrosion

  • yeh myne has that to

thats just gay ive had to clean myne out 2 times now in 8 months

  • yep sold!

  • wooow really awesome case but i think it will be LIIIIITTLE expensive :P

  • intagrated cooling... be why

  • ye indeed

  • Rodney, you said 6 Drive Bays.

But there are 7 Drive Bays.

  • one is a 3.5"

  • i only see 6...the one above that is a 5 1/4" bay

  • RoniAmikam :

No, there are 6 drive bays Right and 2 on the Left!! Total is 8.

  • Ok, im sorry, the plastic upwards the top one was so similar to a drive-bay.

  • LOL no need to say sorry!

  • Why i cant post twice on the same video on youtube

  • this is a sexy case im gunna buy one for my new build.

  • Fuck this, i might just buy one!

  • this case is the shitt! im buying thiss.

  • where did you buy. What's the problem?

  • lol he means that its the shit ! cuz its good ^^ lol

  • Sigh. Everyone should avoid this case, for two reasons.

One, the radiators build into this case are not that much better than a single triple radiator build for 120mm fans (51200mm^2 vs 43200mm^2).

Second, it mixes aluminum and copper. The nice looking waterblock is all copper, which is great for thermal conductivity. The radiators are aluminum, which is a decent alternative to copper, since its cheaper. However, mixing aluminum and copper is a big no-no since it will corrode both the Al and Cu.

  • Sigh.

    1. Try doing that INSIDE a case. 500w of dissapating power is more than enough for any cpu, including an overclocked core i7.

    2. Didn't you watch the video? Particulary when Rodney points to the included coolant? Anti-corrosive?

Not everyone can select custom watercooling parts for a PC, and some just want it in a convenient package like this.

  • 1. There's no way that CPU block can absorb 500W. A HK3.0 couldn't do that, and it's currently the best CPU waterblock.

    2. Why, so it is. I guess I must have ignored that for an important reason, that being anti-corrosives only delay corrosion, which is why they are more properly called corrosion inhibitors.

You want a convenient package? Get a kit by Swiftech. They make high quality, all copper kits for beginners.

  • didnt he say the RADIATORS absorb 250w each making 500w?

  • Right you are. That doesn't change the fact that mixing copper (the included CPU block, as well as nearly every other waterblock out there) with aluminum (the included radiators) is pretty much the worst thing you can do with your watercooling build

  • This case made Rodney's day, it has a removable Motherboard tray. :)

  • It must be a huge pain in the ass to put in and take out the components of your test system with the cases you review.

  • That's just how hard Rodney works for us. (His viewers.)

  • This is a seriously impressive case :)

  • Really nice case...with tons of feature..huhu...

  • THIS IS VERY GOOD CASE !!!

  • Is this also aviable without Water Cooling?

  • Good Question

I Want to Know If It Works Well Without Water Cooling

  • READ THE OTHER COMMENTS

  • How about watching the whole video.

  • how about making a video showing how you conduct your tests?

    cheers.

  • Holy shit. 13 fans.

  • Its $420 on newegg.

  • 8 80mm? damn vacuum cleaner....

  • that case is really really nice.

  • DUDE HOLY SHIT!!! I want that EXACT FUCKING SYSTEM (CASE AND ALL). ESPECIALLY.

OMG. When I saw the case i wanted it. But then I saw your test system. IT MADE ME SCREAM IN EXCITEMENT LIKE A TEENAGE PREPPY SCHOOL GIRL.

  • lol what a creepy person....

  • screw the haf 932, im gettin this!

  • This vid looks great in HD.

  • is it just me or does he sound like a robot?

    -nice ass case btw

  • That case is sweeet.

  • Brilliant case. Makes me wonder why the likes of Coolermaster and Lian Li, Zalman havent done this before. Or have they? It seems more in the realms of Zalman. What with their high end noisless cases. Maybe I've missed it somewhere. But whatever, Rodney, nice one pal. I'd like to see a review of this case loaded with kit and running. If that's possible.

  • Damn, that's one of the most advanced cases I have seen yet. Looks like a decent water cooling system to!

  • rodney

wouldn't u normally say something else about the feet? like rubber would have been better since it has excellent anti vibrating capabalities

these feet kinda look like plastic or metal.

  • I prefer to suspend my case from the undercarriage of my desktop using high tensile filament spun by sea spiders off the coast of the Faroe Islands. It is spendy, but the -dB rating is worth it.

  • whut?

  • Damn son, that sounds like a gadget out of a tom clancy book

  • Gonna get the smooth version of this case, just a question, is it possible to fit 2 120mm intake fans in that case aswell?

  • Rodney, have you measured the noise levels? With 10 80mm fans, i think this will be as noisy as an airplane taking off.. can you give us some numbers?

  • its 43 DBa

  • 4:52

"best thermal efficiency" under the heading "high-density copper"

Diamond is by far the best thermal conductor

  • Totaly outrageous case! love it! but 420$ is like EPIC overprice... should be around 350$

  • So what do a regular case and a separate water cooling set cost?

  • Good god, this is awesome.

  • anyone know how much this bad boy cost?

  • awesome case for water colling

  • this case is exactly what im looking for... how much ?!?!?!

  • an arm and a leg

  • lol, i cant find it on 3dgameman,com... gayy lol..... seriosly, anyone know how much this costs? not on ebay.. or ebuyer either..? :S

  • $420 on newegg

    Item no: N82E16811118025

  • Case for W.Cooling -=D

  • Great review.

  • This is a brilliant case. Thank you Rodney. Can this case be used for normal air cooling also?

  • beautiful case.

  • guyz, whats the difference between a full tower case and a super tower case ?

  • the size...? nah i think one of them is made for E-ATX, which is extended atx motherboards like that evga classified motherboard and the asus p6t7ws supercomputer motherboard. and supertowers will have room for lots more hard drives, internal liquid cooling systems and could easily be used for servers. most full towers couldent be used for these things^ ( 'i think' :) )

  • Wow the watercooling performs better then i thought

  • what motherboard is the one he is using ????

  • 7:00

  • its $420 dollars, fuck that
