  • Hi David, nice job!

  • gota give this fly a go (Y)

  • Hi David, great pattern, i must say this fly does catch a lot of fish in all types of water, and in all colours, crazy isn't it, Regards Alan

  • Hi Calum,

Putting the chain bead on top will cause the hook to fish inverted in the water so the actual bend of the hook is towards the surface. Having it underneath allows the hook to be fish the correct way up.

I say correct but there is no right and wrong way to have it. If you were fishing in a weedy pond then you may want the fly to flip to minimise snags.

    Best Regards,

    ~David

  • Your deffo right about being the best lure ever created! I can go with just a box of cats whiskers all different colours and catch all day :)

    For a simple pattern itsdeadly!

  • use varnish not super glue it reliease less solvents

  • Hi nutnfancyproject,

Super Glue is better, trust me.

    Best Regards,

    ~David

    Best Regards,

  • I think that you can make a deer hair head or woolhead. yeah, it's an amazing bugger!

  • Hi,

Keep up the good work. Sometimes it is hard to discern how the marabou is going to play in the water. Looks like a pattern I will try. Thanks.

    Tight Lines.

  • Hi glenbreton,

If you wash and clean your Marabou plumes before use it will remove any excess dirt and grease picked up in the tying process allowing the Marabou to have a better action in the water.

Many thanks for the kind words...

    Best Regards,

    ~David

  • @TotallyFlyTying

Sorry the Dying process not tying

  • Hi David,

a great pattern and well tied, a little large for my liking but the tail can be trimmed so it's not a bother, really loving your videos.

    Well done and best regards!

  • Hi madaboottroot,

You have no idea how much the kind words mean!

Yes, the tail is rather large however this is so you can adjust them to your own liking by the water. You cant add more marabou once its trimmed but you can remove marabou to suit the size the fish are taking!

Im glad you are enjoying the videos!

    ~Best Regards and tight Lines,

    ~David
