clearly u know nothing.... the reason USA had to upgrade its armored vehicles is because IRAQI IEDs were gettin very complex... they started to use pressure plates so they cant be jammed.... and they also started to put copper plates on the right spot of the bomb.... so that when it explodes the copper turns to a molten slug.... that is able to penitrate massive amounts of armor.... its called a EFP or explosivly formed penitrator

Misznay–Schardin effect: Flat sheets of explosives have a blast that goes out perpendicular from the surface.

Munroe effect: A sheet of explosives shaped into a convex curve will form a plasma jet at the center of the shockwave.

Thus if you take a chunk of explosive and push a convex copper plate into it, then you are forming the explosive into a shaped charge that will produce a plasma jet which forms the projectile from the copper.
