  • Julia Styles was soooo out of place for the Damien´s mom character... I would have prefered Diane Lane as the mother´s character.... just saying....

  • terrific

  • @Nexils I totally agree. The black German shepherd in the remake was MUCH creepier

  • Ironically, the camera guy in the new one played as Jesus.

  • It would've been much more awesome if in the new one, the nanny still smashed through a window, but since the rope was much longer in the new one, she could've smashed through even more violently.

  • I call bullshit on the second hanging. If someone really dropped that far to hang themselves the force would have tore her head off. Which seems like something you would see in a horror movie

  • The remake sucked. I liked the original better, it had tension in it. and the 2006 was a spot for spot remake of the 76 version. The only good point of the 2006 version was Liev Schreiber

  • Professor Lupin! Nice camera!

  • Solid black German Shepherd in remake...not a Belgian Shepherd.

  • Damien doesn't look that evil in the original. And the dog doesn't look creepy at all when he 's standing right nexto to that tree.

  • @Nexils No, the kid in the original is most sinsiter kid I had ever seen! The new one is pretty lame and does NOT incite terror in any way shape or form.

  • @mrfrogbutt1 Really? Ok. To my opinion the 'new' one looks more creepy to me but every opinion is welcome. The original Damien looks more innocent to me.

  • @Nexils Yes, the new kid is WAY too old for the part and the mom TOO young! WTF do they actually believe that we are going to fall for a young 20 something having a kid that old? He looks at least 12! The original had Lee Remick who was in her early 40s. Her character was married to a very important military official which gave premise to how Damien would rise to global domination. Its funny how this new pseudo director would miss such an important aspect to the story's premise

  • @Nexils Ummmm, actually the original at least got the breed of dog right. Rotties, or mastif breeds, were always perpetuated in many cultures' lore's. Greek Pathos: Hades ruler of the Underworld would sit on his throne, with a Rottweiler on each side of him. WTF is with the black Alsatian/German Shepard? Stupid new young, punk-ass, Hipster hollywood can't get anything right. If they were gonna copy the movie, why change the breed of canine to a less imposing breed? You like this trash?

  • @ViceCityVacation Wasn't really paying attention that much. I think it 's just the dog that matters, not really where it came from. It also can be just coincidence.

  • Is the Dog supposed to Satan's host?

  • @Riku72293 i think so

  • 2:13 vanishing rope

  • No final o olhar do menino do remake é ''eu fiz isso haha''

a do original é mais natural ele so olha p cachorro e ri que nem qualquer criança isso me assusta mais d:

  • o cão danado do original me deu mais medo q do segundo

  • o suicidio da baba é inesquecivel '-'

  • the kid in this first movie is better than boy on this remake and ave satani is true soundtrack

  • @MissLidi82 AMEN i wish Hollywood would stop creating useless and unnecessary remakes

  • I honestly wonder what the film producers told these kids what their role was going to be. I mean did they need any kind of knowledge on the devil or did they pick out the creepiest kid in the auditions?

  • Better than the remake or not - it's still a classic, and the original soundtrack by Goldsmith is bloody brilliant.

  • the remake was so boring and flat. it laked depth

  • Wow! That dog has a really clean tongue!

    Good casting there.

  • Harvey Stephens (Damien Thorn in The Omen of 1976) has a small role as a tabloid journalist in The remake from the Omen 2006.

  • the remake version of suicide seemed more creepy, the way nanny was holding the rope around her neck blissfully before committing the suicide added spice to the scene although original movie suicide scene was very shocking !

  • The nanny in the 1970's movie was extremely beautiful!

  • I'll be honest, I think the remake was better. The original was too abrupt and hollow. The newer one made use of darker camerawork and music.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 +advertising of "Nicon"

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 i would describe the remake the way you talked about the original. also the reamake sufferd from laghebel speciefects. a kid who was tring to hard to be scary. the music was standard horror movie far. pluss in the remake those dogs came out of no wear. in the origenall it a slow builed. what was so great about the camera work. it SUCKED.i respect you opion. but could you peas tell me what you mean by your stament pleas

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 Everything about the original was better.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 Yes, darker camerawork and music is everything what remake has. The original one has atmosphere.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 The remake was awful compared to the original. The original was far better in all departments. It just looks creepier and feels more creepier than the remake.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 The new ne sucks major ass baby! For some reason this generation is hell bent on doing useless and meaningless remakes! They are SO unnecessary. i bet the next few years will be the same.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 I agree with you. I loved the remake. I've seen the old trilogy, and this version is better.

  • @Blitzkrieg0811 I still prefer the original...maybe it's my age, as it had such an impact on me as a kid. I think the best thing about the 1976 version has to be Billie Whitelaw as Mrs Blaylock. She was perfect for the role...and I think generally all the characters were better than in the remake...Damien in particular was very iconic. I must have another look at the 2006 version though..

  • the day i look into a dogs eyes is the day i hang my self infront of a bunch of litttle peeeepz....... look mom a pinyata that looks like the nanny :DDDD yaaaaay

  • I understand that Damien (or however you spell it) is the son of the devil, but what exactly did the nanny do? I mean, what did she do that was so bad, that the agents of hell convinced her to commit suicide?

  • @TDATDIAlina Maybe father just gave a sign to Damien?

  • @TDATDIAlina The nanny had to go in order for another one to take her place......one sent by the devil.

  • @lambyiii you are right

  • @XpucmocPoccuu she also was really into teenage sex

  • @lambyiii How fucking creepy is that... and with the soundtrack this movie scared the hell out of me...

  • @TDATDIAlina She was in the way, and that was reason enough. Also just maybe she was too damn pretty, so the forces of hell killed her horribly simply out of spite! That i could understand.

  • @TDATDIAlina It was the ultimate act of loyalty. To sacrifice ones own life for their leader. In essence, she likely was sacrificing her soul unto him.

  • @TDATDIAlina She was basically sent by Satan to protect Damien.

  • @MomoAndLacy Oops Sorry wrong nanny. I guess looking into the dogs eyes made her go mad?

  • @TDATDIAlina She killed herself for the son of satan, thats why she said '' It's all for you Damien ''

  • would be better w/o the song

  • Sandwich really good LOL

  • @omniexistus No reason to get all touchy about it, the scene with the dog is the only thing I liked in the remake but I think it's brilliant where as in the original I thought the dog was just kind of cute, yes I know it's a rottweiler but it's obviously a trained dog owned by some hollywood guy. All I'm saying is that I like the creepy imagery of the dog in the 06 version.

  • This just shows the remake as being a shot for shot copy of the original, why bother? OH, hang on, is it because the original is so good that there's no point, making, a, re-....... Hm....

  • The dog(which symbolizes the devil) is a cute puppy in the 1976 film haha while in the 2006 film it's f*ckin incredible! It looks so freakish and devil looking, but the real horror is that it's just a dog. And a real beautiful one.

  • @TheSmokesMusic cute puppy? It's a fuckin rottweiler known for their viciousness much more than german shepard..btw 1976 version is better

  • @TheMasterGouki indeed. the original one was the best, why would they ruing history like that?

  • the 1976 nanny is hot...

  • having the rottweiler in the original one made more sense since it's technically a hellhound.

  • 1976 Version wins for smashing a window like a wrecking ball.

  • The remake made the fall longer and more dramatic but got rid of the window breaking... I can't decide.

  • 2:36... they give each other the stink face :D

  • Oh my god! are the same...

  • whered you get the song from?

  • @paradisecity599 I just downloaded it (Gregorian "Ave Satani" )

  • my name is damian. im 12.

  • @brickbuilder2010 You are lucky. U need a black dog

  • Wait a second, she jumps from one angle. Then they show her jumping again at another angle! What is that?! Some kind of new directing technique?

  • @AssassinTheHasson

1st scene - she stands on the roof. 2d secne - she jumps. and last scene-nanny hangs already dead. This is a full version of the suicide in both films

  • @ 2:12 there isn't even a rope on her...

  • @thaFalkon

the makers of the film :epws we forgot the rope

  • @tomatid1 How do you forget rope when you're filming a hanging, lol.

  • @thaFalkon lol maybe they were drunk

  • @thaFalkon yes, there is, you can see it for a sec, but you can't see it anymore because of the window... Sorry, can't explain myself, i'm not english lol

  • неплохо)
