The funny thing about me is that I keep my thumb up, but sometimes I give it too much force and it flies sideways. Sometimes, I give it too little, and it stops when it hits my thumb. Someone remind me why I'm not studying for my finals...

Oh... my... god... Just how satisfying was that, just did it 5 (!) times in a row with less than an hour practice. It's settled, 1. one new trick per week or two, 2. ???, 3. profit.

Btw those who are having trouble, try focusing on one finger at a time. I improved greatly after I learned to keep my thumb in place and then another huge step came after I pulled my middle finger in the right place. I didn't even have to mind my index finger, the pen just popped in its place when I did it right :O

Here's another tip, place index finger where specified in video, and the middle finger in the middle, but place the thumb just higher than that. From that position by applying equal force with both middle finger and thumb spin the pen, use the index finger to hold the pen in place as you apply this force, remove index finger (not literally) and let it spin, star off slow and build on the force.

Hm, after practiced this for a while with rather good succes from knowing nothing of pen spinning i realized that it goes alot better if you just use the index finger as a support so you can hold the pen, and when to twist just remove it and flick the middlefinger around the thumb.
