I was playing online @ Peach Beach, @ the last lap nere the finish line, I was in 4th out of 7 people, I got a Blue Shell and it hit the person infrount of me. (the outher 2 people allready finish.) I though I would come in 3rd & not 4th, untill some guy who was Toad passed me. I got mad.
THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!! Except I wasn't on Wi-Fi (Infact my wireless modem doesn't work x.x) and I was in 3rd on a Grand Prix. The damn shell hit ME.
maybe because the person in first place and you were 1st place and so you got hit maybe because if you look closely at 0:08 you'll see a guy called Jesus pass by
I know it's over a year, but basically, the Blue Shell fires the first person BEFORE the finish (That is all 3 laps), so if 1 person has finished, it'll target the 2nd player, if say, 9 players had finished, then the player in 10th place would get hit.
The 1st place person finished so the Spiny Shell targeted you. That happened to me before.

1st place was finished, so it hit the following racer. but the peach that passed u after u got got hit was probably a lap down.

You were technically first because the person who was first already finished the race.

When the person in first place finishes the blue shell targets the person in second. Its not a glitch but its very annoying.
