@Videostar1another1fa Unique metal? Hmm, Primordial, Akercocke, Walknut, Horn, SUPURATION, DEMILICH, etc etc. Plenty of metal is unique, you just have to train your ear to realise.

@MorkaGraven Funny... I always thought that finnish death metal was some bad swedish death. Of course I like Demilich, Demigod or Adramelech... But come on, Entombed, Dismember, Unleashed, Nihilist or Nirvana 2002 are muche better (especially the guitar sound).

@Foundator Well my interpretation metal is like metal but faster, more aggressive and more bass, to be honest the only death metal band I listen to is and their only 60% death metal :P How would you describe death metal to me?

@SmokingWickerman Well, death metal it is a lot more melodic than black metal in the sense that death metal is more diverse in the structure. Also the vocal style is kinda different. Death normally uses growls or gutural while Black metal uses shrieks or screams. You should listen to Bloodbath, to me one of the best death metal bands ever! Also, sorry if I sounded like an idiot haha.

@Foundator Shure no prob,was thinking of going down the wrong way on comment but knew you wern't trying to offend anyone :P Always thought Black Metal was way more melodic since Symphonic Metal was created from it. I cant promise you that ill like Bloodbath but il lgive it 30 minutes of listening.

Bands like Emperor and early Dimmu Borgir are something like that but others like Anaal Nahkrath are so brutal that not even the heaviest death metal can aproach them.

There is a lot of melodies & epic stuffs in the last two Anaal Nathrak albums, so I don't know (and yes, as some else said : AN is a kind of mix between grindcore and some black metal elements... but that's mostly grind/death). In comparison, Nile is much more heavy (but less crazy).
