I was born in Port-au-Prince, but my family is from Bainet. I learned how to cook when I would visit my grandparents. They bought me a small chodyè and recho, then I would copy the servant. In Port-au-Prince my parents would not let me go on the stove. I used to go to a cooking school with my older sister and I would memorize those recipes in my head lol... I was only 6 or 7.
