Why the hell would anyone with a tad bit of brain power expect Iran not to have influence over Iraq or Afghanistan?

Apart from the fact that these countries (amongst others) are in the natural geographic sphere of influence, they also share cultural, religious and historical ties.

In fact these two countries were actually once IRAN, I guess now we know why they divided it when they did. Could they have invaded Afghanistan and Iraq if it was still part of Iran?

YOU COULDNT HAVE READ IT, where does it implicate Iran?, it is saying the US in its most recent Baghdad press briefing did not even mention Iran in relation to recent attacks as they usually do. Also a plan to show off the 'evidence' which they are talking about on this video has been cancelled because US explosives experts determined the weapons are not from Iran.

In the whole press conference the General only says 'Iran' once, in relation to a Lebanesse man they captured. this is is a big change, and no mention of any Iranian weapons. I can not understand why people think Iran wants to undermine the Iraqi goverment which it is very close to. If the Iranian gov officially sanctioned the supply of weapons you would see modern anti tank missles and shoulder mounted surface to air weapons in Iraq.

Mossadegh nationalized (stole) the oil business and made agreements with Russia hoping they would protect him from his own Persian people. He failed.

The CIA did not single handedly overthrow Mossadegh. It was a vast majority of Persian people with CIA help.

Also a world court decision declared it unfair, but the British refuesed to reconsider the deal. The british after several failed coup attempts convince the US Mossadeq was a communist, this was unture. Before 1953 the US had largely helped Iran.
