If that punch knocked him out some of the early ones that missed would have killed him. If you look that is one of the weakest punches he throws. Incredible.

Out of all the guys Tyson fought including Tucker, Tubbs, Spinks, Thomas, Berbick, Smith, Biggs, etc, how many of those guys were several-time World Champions like Holyfield was?
I think people are really underestimating Holyfield and are just giving Tyson all the benefit without even actually analyzing the match-up.
I think Tyson had a very good prime but post-prison, he really fought the shittiest opponents out there. McNeely, Mathis, Seldon, Bruno, Botha, Savarese, Norris, Williams, Francis, Etienne, McBride, etc. None of these were top boxers. They were all handpicked really other than Bruno who was hardly a legit champion and that other guy Seldon who never beat anybody who was any good.

as far as people say the fight is fixed look at it like this: Boxers do alot of things sub consciously from repetition even when they are knocked out. Maybe he took his mouthpiece out to breathe better? maybe he took it out out of habit? I saw a vid of a dude who got knocked out and was still throwing punches from the mat so the mouthpiece thing is minor. my other theory is he got hit so hard he just gave up but i don't think the fight was "fixed". that was a legit punch right there.

Tyson knocks bums like this guy out with 1 punch but Tyson hit Holyfield with everything including the kitchen sink and Holyfield walked through everything. @chrismck100 I don't know about that. In my mind, Holyfield at his best would likely be the toughest and most durable boxer Tyson has ever faced in his career, prime or post-prime. Out of all the guys Tyson fought including Tucker, Tubbs, Spinks, Thomas, Berbick, Smith, Biggs, etc, how many of those guys were several-time World Champions like Holyfield was?
I think people are really underestimating Holyfield and are just giving Tyson all the benefit without even actually analyzing the match-up.

I think Tyson had a very good prime but post-prison, he really fought the shittiest opponents out there. McNeely, Mathis, Seldon, Bruno, Botha, Savarese, Norris, Williams, Francis, Etienne, McBride, etc. None of these were top boxers. They were all handpicked really other than Bruno who was hardly a legit champion and that other guy Seldon who never beat anybody who was any good.

Loved to watch Tyson fights back in the day and got smart and my friends and I would put ALL beer infront of us watching it instead of keeping in the fridge and running over to get it. You could miss the fight in a blink of an eye (going to grab a beer) and I missed two fights because he would destroy people like this so many times!

as far as people say the fight is fixed look at it like this: Boxers do alot of things sub consciously from repetition even when they are knocked out. Maybe he took his mouthpiece out to breathe better? maybe he took it out out of habit? I saw a vid of a dude who got knocked out and was still throwing punches from the mat so the mouthpiece thing is minor. my other theory is he got hit so hard he just gave up but i don't think the fight was "fixed". that was a legit punch right there.

i know back than, there was a mass amount of money in boxing. but was it just me, or did this fight seem rigged? it all seemed well untill clif got "ko"ed. solid punch, no doubt about that, but the fell down, very steady handedly took out his mouthpiece, and lied there motionless until the 9 count, than getting up past ten steadfast, and not even wobbly. and im not discrediting boxing or tyson, im just saying the ko looked suspicious. any one else think so?
