  • his voice and actualy the whole person of him makes me...kinda tear....i wish i had him as my grandpa :-) !!

  • it should have been christopher lee knighting prince charles

  • Christopher Lee stabbed a Nazi.

  • Imagine what it would be like to have Christopher Lee as your grandpa and read you stories before going to be when you're a kid. *shudders* boy, those would be some scary-shit nightmares afterwards...

  • @MachineintheSky omg, omg you're right. that would be epic :O

  • I wonder if they done it on the eve of halloween because he's into the occult, as a kind of recognition to him.

  • Finally... the Knighthood is CHRISTOPHER LEEd ...

  • I love him beyond words!!!!!! I mean it!!!!!!

  • A new power is rising!

  • Just to be fair, people get awards from all around the world for some really stupid ass reasons. Obama getting the nobel peace prize for being black and Al Gore for taking credit for scientists hard work. After looking at Lee's history he obviously deserves to be knighted, but not because the nations royalty is are big fans of celebrities. Be consistant at least and if you're gonna knight Elton John, knightOzzy Osbourne. Hell Knight the fictional character Doctor Who. He saves the Universe.

  • Not to take anything away from Lee at all but.. The brits KNIGHT people for some stupid ass reasons. Services to Drama... Come On Really?? Charity.. a better reason, but millions of people donate to charity.. Hmm.. how about you knight him for the fact he served your country in the Royal Air Force in WW2 and worked with SIS (MI6).. Sorry but being a Knight reminds me of someone who is recognized for their military leadership in a time of warfare rather than a star on the hollywood walk of fame

  • @bobblesworth So you think serving your country in war and things associated with it, is more important than creating art help the needy and promote peace?

What a world we live in...

  • @kaUsiki I think that. and if you disagree, I suggest you go tell a soldier that your art degree is more important than his purple heart.

  • @kaUsiki When it comes to defending your entire way of life in a time of dire need and enlisting to save your entire country from the Nazi invasion in WW2... yes I believe so buster.

  • sir dracula..it was about time he was knighted..!!

  • NUMBER 1 DRACULA -Christopher Lee .

  • We love you all christopher, hope you live long

  • What an amazing acting career, this man is a living llegend

  • 0:49 Hey announcer dude, I wanna hear Christopher Lee talk about hating the number of Dracula movies, please, and thank you.

  • @64supermarioreturns It's reasonably well documented. He feels they've overshadowed his career and prefers not to talk about them at length. I think I heard him say it got to the point where he was accepting more Dracula roles to basically keep the film crews in work!

  • Halloween is purely American. other countries and cultures have something similar or different days. Just because he doesn't know when exactly an American holiday is held just makes him more.. well.. British?

  • Ehh. The ending ruined it. I hate when actors are ignorant.

  • @YawnGod What do you mean? Halloween is not a big event in England like it is in America.

  • Christopher Lee is worth more than all the 'young' 'hot' rich celebrities put together!! One of the most talented men in the entire world!

  • That man should have been knighted ten times. Hail from Finland.

  • wow, way back in 2009---never heard of this....maybe cause usa media too obsessed with zereo celebs, who are more famous and richer, who aren't worthy to wipe lee's butt.

  • i hate to see him grow old :C

  • @IFreakSlide same with me. there was an interview with him in 2002 and he looks so much better than now. he talks so slowly now. aging sucks.

  • @skinwalkerxxx mhm : ( i am seariously gonna cry the day my favorite movie actor's die :(

  • @IFreakSlide it's less painful when you're younger, it seems. in my 30s I notice stuff like this all the time and I think it's worse than it is. my favorite actor ever was Peter Cushing yet I didn't notice that he died in the early 90s. when you're young, you're too busy than notice stuff like this, so many things to do and see. when we get older, we get to sit back and remember our favorite actors of our youth and we want to relive our youth and wants our favorite actors keep on living.

  • @skinwalkerxxx true, true : /

  • Will you idiots at the Academy just give him a lifetime achievement Oscar already?! Al Gore gets one for a fucking Powerpoint presentation, yet one of the most magnificent actors in all of history still can't have one? Give him one before he dies already, you jerks!

  • He should have been doing the knighting, not the other way around.

  • 260 films...I think this is more than suficcient to get some respect, dont matter his IQ or knowledge.and other thing,i belive that all the world have seen his value playing saruman

  • SUCH A LAD!!

  • well he was a Jedi Knight?

  • FOR FUCK SAKE I WANT HIS VOICE.....Cristopher lee is one damn good actor,I just sell my soul to get his voice for me !!!!

  • He played Dracula, a James Bond villian, a evil Wizard and a Sith Lord.. Is there anything left?

  • @PoweredByFlow

    Hitler :D

  • he's accent is godly

    "survival" sounds so epic

  • "On the eve of Halloween" <333

  • That is one fucking cool suit.

  • dear mr. Jackson. Please finnish all the scenes with Christopher Lee in The Hobbit movies now so you don't need to get a new actor for the role as Saruman if something should happend to Lee.

  • i like him! he 's a great actor and very intelligent. He speaks eight languages, doesn't he ?

  • @fearedflash

He claims to be a polyglot but he would not pass in a schoolboy exam in most, if not all, the languages he is supposed to speak other than English.

One thing people who have worked with Christopher Lee will tell you is that whatever you claim to be good at, he can do one better. He is his own best fan.

  • May he live on to make more great films.

  • 6ft 5!!!!????? hes lalmost like the klitchkos! lol

  • i love this guy.. best actor for archvillians.... vampires and wizard...

  • I boycotted Peter Jackson's third installment of his thouroughly boring Ring's trilogy when I found out that he cut Christopher Lee out of the last film. As great as some of the other actors were...

what would have been the point seeing it without Christopher Lee?

  • @Lewis1key

He's in the beginning in the extended edition when he falls down Orthanc and gets impaled.

  • "Now between you and me, i didn't invent it"

    LIES!!!

  • That's SIR Jedi Vampire Wizard. He is the stuff of Chuck Norris' nightmares.

  • Sir Christopher Lee: "Nothing to do with me. I didn't invent [Halloween]"

    So he's brilliant AND modest!

  • ooooh. i think it's SO CUTE that he doesn't know that it is halloween! <3

  • It's the Sith Lord and the evil Wizard.

  • What a liar. Of course he invented halloween. He also created royalty and killed Hitler with his voice. This man is a legend of every generation ever.

J.F. F. Dé Pintor.

  • I love that he's 6"5 i thought most acters where short!

  • After all, Sir Christopher descends from the line of Charlemagne, Carolus Magnus, Karl the Great ... who is she, Frau von Saxon-Coburg und Gota?

Should have been the other way round!

  • @fenriz218 Gostaria de dizer q Carlos Magno é o Maximo parabéns Sir Chris e Banda J. F. S. Dé Píntor

  • He should have grabbed that sword from the old cunts hands, decapitated her (plus her degenerate brood) and crowned himself KING OF ENGLAND!

Probably America would demand to become a colony once again ...!

  • Its too bad that it wasn't on Christmas Day.

  • 6-foot-5?? How couldn't I notice that in Richard Lester's Three Musketeers?

  • When he was young, Christopher Lee used to be a secret agent in the service of England. This man is a living legend.

  • @Johanproducties he was in the SAS and cut many a Nazi

  • Best voice ever

  • @Sander13thStarFan Iagree, his voice in kingdom hearts 2 as Diz / Ansem the wise was amazing

  • caz hes the man of with the golden gun!

  • I remember when this happened. I think the event was criminally delayed.

Starred in over 200 films and plenty memorable roles.

  • Christopher Lee is being modest. He did invent Halloween. He was alive in England all those centuries ago. He said to the Druids regarding the last harvest season of the year, call it Samhain. They wanted to call it Clifford.

  • This man is a nice person!!(L)

  • awesome halloween burn!

  • Hmmm he is starting to look like a living corpse. Hope the guys in the hobbit got skilled makeup artists xD Great man though...

  • Thanks Mr. Lee, You're someone who has a place in my history. Always DRACULA. You and your friend Peter Cushing. A big hug from BRAZIL. Luiz Antonio.

  • Thanks Mr. Lee, You're someone who has a place in my history. Always DRACULA. You and your friend Peter Cushing. A big hug from BRAZIL. Luiz Antonio.

  • Chest white strips?

  • Christopher Lee`s voice makes chuck norris cry

  • "Whom do you serve?" - "SA-RU-MAN!"

  • Vampires today is not about sucking their victim's blood its about making a relationship with a female human and produce a hybrid child together. WTF?

  • 2 people are on top of Isengard tower

  • the voice that could instill shivers...

  • bless him!

  • Enfin ils ont pensé à lui. Mick Jagger a éte KNIGHTED avant lui et c'est une honte.

  • Brilliant actor. Unique voice and just inspires awe.

  • He was so underrated, such a great actor!!

  • The legend that he his and all due respect, he needs to stop stealing from Krusty the Clowns wardrobe. Still, Count dracula talking about H.D.

  • Oh, Christopher Lee is being modest. Of course he invented Halloween.

  • Actually he's not in his late 80's. In fact he's over 400 years old minimum !! Greatest Dracula ever, when vampires were actually vampires, not sparkling fags !

  • Dooku... Knighted you are young padawan!

  • I think you mean SIR Christopher Lee is knighted :)

  • Christopher Lee is so great, he is better than Cary Grant was, better than Harrison Ford is, better than James Mason was, better than Robert Redford is, better than David Niven was, He beats many.

  • KNIGHT? HE SHOULD BE KING!

  • @ColonelLarfleeze hope you mean not only england but the whole universe! :D

  • @SwedishMinecrafter Indeed, sir. Indeed.

  • @ColonelLarfleeze couldn't agree with you more.

  • @ColonelLarfleeze Christopher Lee, King of England? Has a nice ring to it!!!!

  • @ColonelLarfleeze King is nowhere near good enough! I accept nothing less than Emperor, perhaps even Pope - in which case I'll become a catholic!

  • @fenriz218 Lets take this a step further; God.

  • @ColonelLarfleeze Pfft, forget king. HE SHOULD BE GOD!....or at least "Count" >:)

  • @ColonelLarfleeze KING? HE SHOULD BE A GOD!!!!

  • "that's whats it's all about. survival" lol

  • Christopher is just the best actor he's 88 and he's going to do The Hobbit this year! He will be 90 if that comes out xD

  • Who's the Man? He's the Man.

  • Why Christopher Lee needed to be "knighted"? I mean he already got the superior rank of Master or Lord no?

  • @sasukmania

Along with his awesome acting roles, music roles, that have given entertainment and joy to the world and charity work, I just found out he was a soldier and secret agent during WWII.

He along with James Bond creator Ian Fleming and his inspirations for M, Q, Miss Moneypenny and the Vesper Lynd planned and carried out hundreds of missions including one where they destroyed an experimental nazi nuclear weapons lab.

  • @sasukmania Yes I believe his titles before his knighthood are Sith Lord, the White Wizard head of the White council, Count of Transylvania, and Man with the Golden Gun.

  • @sasukmania

He's been the Duke of Richlieu, Count Dooku, Sith Lord Tyrannus, Lord Saruman, Lord Summerisle...he makes "Lord Voldemort" look like a punk.

  • One guy've clicked "dislike" ...

  • why is this cuntbag talking on to sir CHRISTOPHER LEE??? SHUT THE FUCK UP CHRIS IS TALKING!!!!!!

  • why is this cuntbag talking on to sir CHRISTOPHER LEE???

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • The man!

  • That mentioning of Halloween made me cringe. Really, this man has done so much since he played "You Know Who." Can he get a brake and just be seen as the wonderful actor that he is now, with the great work he has done now? Just had to say that. :)

  • his voice is so cool :D

  • This man is a legend!!!

  • Sir Christopher Lee is the nicest and most gracious gentleman there ever is

    Trully a gentleman !

  • Christopher Lee is a relic of a bygone age; an age when vampires sucked blood instead of cock.

  • @Philhelm Best. Comment. Ever.

  • @Philhelm rofl good one

  • @Philhelm

    ahahahah

  • @Philhelm What a disgusting comment, obviously made by a disgusting individual. Idiots like you are nauseating.

  • @mdv409 I appreciate that not all people share the same sense of humor, but seriously, lighten up.

  • The GREATEST Dracula.

  • @Tolis119 Agreed. And he faced the greatest Van Helsing as well, Peter Cushing.

  • He's a amazing man, too bad most men now days are manchilds :/

  • Can non-British people be knighted?

  • @Kotlettbengt Yes as long as they are a citizen of a country within the commonwealth.

  • @dahalofreeek I see, so a Swede for example couldn't?

  • @Kotlettbengt I don't think so.

  • @Kotlettbengt Foreign people can be Knighted but are not allowed to use the prefix 'Sir' (Or Dame if a woman) unless they are subjects of the Queen I E British or Commonwealth. People who are not the Subject of the Queen who gets knighted can use the prefix if they then later become British or Commonwealth citizens. Non subjects still get the honour to use letters after their surnames so for instance Bog Geldof would be Bob Geldof KBE (Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire).

  • I pray for Christopher Lee that he might be saved through Jesus Christ.. I pray that he would repent of all his witchcraft and satanic movies AKA THE WICKER MAN 1 and 2. I pray he see that though he has power from satan in the end he will perish. FOR GOD SO LOVED CHRISTOPHER LEE THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGGOTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVE IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

  • @wreaksatansday Why so serious, brah?

  • @wreaksatansday what about lord of the rings? he played a evil wizard. What about star wars? he played an evil Sith lord?

  • @wreaksatansday The greatest of all sins is self-righteousness; according to Aleister Crowley anyway...

  • He is such a cool guy

  • class act... and still has that strong voice

  • This man deserves a star on the walk of fame and a honorary Oscar.

  • @DCNY31279 Total agreement. He is a living legend!

  • Lee is the last of horror actors that ranks with Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney, Price, Cushing and himself. Try to see him before he goes.

  • Lee should have been knighted long ago for his outstanding service (he volunteered with the Finnish forces against the Russians, he was in the Royal Air Force Long Range Desert Group against Germany and Italy and he made his way into the secret service, his war career alone was more exciting than most movies).

For his artistic and charity work he should have been made a king.

And now he is a heavy metal musician with an album slated for 2011.For God's sake is there anything this man can't do.

  • Christopher Lee didn't "droll on" in a thick accent as you would know if you had seen any of his films. He spoke with his own accent. Lugosi was big in theatres but he didn't originate the part. Also Bela doesn't have a prominant "widow's peak" though he does have one as do many Dracula's as they are commonly seen when the hair is swept back... a look that originated in the stage play before the great Bela took the role.

  • @HimWotMustBeObeyed

Also many Draculas don't have Hungarian accents (most in fact) such as Louis Jourdan, Frank Langhella, Klaus Kinski, Jack Palance, John Carradine and Udo Keir.

Only Roxburgh in the terrible 'Van Helsing' and Oldman in Coppola's 'Dracula' are major Draculas that have Hungarian accents.

  • @HimWotMustBeObeyed Leslie Nielsen had a spoof foreign accent in 'Dracula, Dead And Loving It' and I think George Hamilton may have in 'Love At First Bite', though they were comedies and only the former was based on the novel itself.

  • fuck you! christopher lee didnt bring dracula to life! bela lugosi did! this is absolute rot! complete shit... fuck you!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheLordOfTheWorms Bela Lugosi didn't either. For one thing Bram Stoker did when he wrote the novel but on film there was Max Schrek before Lugosi and in the theatre there had been a few Draculas anyway. Lee brought Dracula to life in colour in his era and his Dracula film is still THE classic in most countries other than North America where it has competition from the Lugosi film. Go to any country from France to Japan and Lee is *THE* Dracula to many, many people.

  • @HimWotMustBeObeyed Yes Bram Stoker did write Dracula, however, in 1931 when Lugosi was casted, HE was the one who created what you thinks of when you think of Dracula. ALSO, Lugosi was huge in theatre as Dracula. He had the widows peak & his hungarian accent is why any Dracula speaks the same. He created the mold for how the world pictures Dracula. So when Lee got his widows peak, and as he drolled on in a thick accent, it was based on Lugosi's preformance, just like every other Drcula since 31

  • @TheLordOfTheWorms No need to be so offensive. You could have gotten your point across without having to swear and insult. It does not matter who brought Dracula to life. Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee played Dracula very well.

  • @gof22 fuck piss slut cock cunt mother fucker twat whore... Blow me

  • @TheLordOfTheWorms If you are going to insult me than let me insult you. You are the load your mother should have swallowed.

  • OMFG

  • The coolest voice and demeanor you could ever find. It's kind of a nod to Peter Cushing too

  • Now, why would anyone dislike this?

  • he looks like a great grampa~

  • COUNT DOOKU !!!!!!!

  • He's 87 years old?! Wow!

  • I had not heard this, excellent news! Congratulations to you, SIR Christopher Lee!

  • why the hell do they zoom in so close to his face?

  • "Sir Christopher Lee" that sounds good !

He deserves it !! Sir, Knight, Count Dracula !!!

  • Come baby Asian ladies #lushfmlk.info#

  • I love his voice and his way of speaking :)

  • Congratulations to one of our great and most talented British classical actors! They don't make them like you any more Sir Christopher!

  • Congratulations Chris =D This is soooo great.

  • He Really Is Wonderful!

  • 1:12 - "Survival!" gives me the creeps :P

  • Goodness I adore Christopher Lee. As a child in the 70's I was allowed to watch the Hammer Horror double bill on a Saturday night (my nan allowed me, my parent disappoved!). When he appeared as Dracula I was mesmerised by him and have followed his career ever since. What a man, actor, legend. This knighthood so deserved. Wow!

  • wow, i never noticed he was 6'5"...

  • Timed before halloween because he's scary!

    Well deserved.

  • new power has risen!

  • Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Elton John are 2 fags...

  • He's like the most iconic regal villian type. And what he said is true...known to every generations, I had never heard of him until Star Wars.....but backing tracking through time, he's been good in everything.

Ok, so if Dracula, Scaramanga, Saruman, and Count Dooku got into a 4 way death match, who would win?

  • @skedardestroyer

    Christopher lee of course!

  • so deserved!

  • @jeanniemariek Did anyone know he was half italian?

  • "I didn't invent it" Surely, Sir Christopher Lee is just being modest.

  • Arise Sir Christopher Lee.... Invincible!
