hey salt is corrosive ?? and the try use w40 mixer with other stuff , w40 is pretty good for clean and shine , but w40 gallon or small gallon , not buy spray .. se ya ..
An exellent way to clean silver is with hot water (I use boiled water), salt and tin foil.
Cover the inside of a container with tin foil, fill it with the water and pour a generous amount of salt in and mix it. Then just put you silver into the water and se the oixidation dissapear. Dry and polish the silver with a soft cloth.
No scrathes on the silver witch you can get from pollish, no pollish left overs and no danger to you jewellery.
@NIFTYDRIFTYPROD You are right. I deserve that. My comment was in response to the 'wi the hell your mom' question below. I should of just let it be like I always do. Just human sometimes. Have a great weekend.
I would like to know if you have a cleaning tip for spoon marks in coffee cups from the stirring, I've tried to soak them overnite and they're still there the next morning...help!!!
@jumpinjacksflash I really don't know the exact way to do this. My mom soaks her cups with some bleach and detergent. I would try some baking soda rubbed in with a halved lemon? Hope it helps!
good idea! ill have to try it. i don't have too much silver, but i do have a lot of copper and i have always been looking for a way to keep it from getting tarnished.
thanks so much for the great tip..... man do i ever hate cleaning silver, lol, mine looks kinda bad but oh well someday it will get polished again, :-)
Beautiful! I will have to remember this one! Thanks to your mom for sharing. Tomorrow I am making my ham with your glaze that you did not too long ago. Hope you have a blessed Easter! Noreen
