I think Rick Springfield's reaction with the "I've been cool, I'm a pimp with the lines" sums up the take that people have to why they prefer the original, LOL. I like this version too, I just think they're very different types of songs even though they're the same in essence. The original had more of a frustrated, awkward feel, while this feels very fun.
