Nice vid. I could hardly imagine were to start on this stuff cause I'm just learning js and html (Very Basic stuff though) I made a little web page about it if you had time to look check it out and give me suggestions. You tube doesn't sem to let me put in the link though...
I was able to make this game in an afternoon so even if it turned out that it sucked (though I'm glad to hear that you like it) it wouldn't have really mattered so much as it wasn't really much of a time sink. That makes small games very appealing to develop.
I hate youtube's comment system... sorry for the multi posts I'm about to do...
Bigger games take obviously longer. They Do Not Die for example (that zombie game I'm working on) is arguably still not a very "big" project but I've been working on it for almost a year now. I've restarted it from scratch at least once. I've gotten bored with it and taken breaks from it more times then I can count. and after all this time working on it I've grown to hate it somewhat and really kind of want to start from scratch again.
I more or less consider everything about its (They Do Not Die's) development to have been a failure.
500 characters is not as much as it sounds like! RAGE!
But it sorta depends on how big you consider big to be. I'm thinking of making another one of those RPG games I made only obviously improved and I'm considering making it this same way which has positives and negatives that I wont get into here because youtube hates me and my walls of text.
