  • Do they even sell this case anymore? I can't seem to find it anywhere on newegg, tiger-direct, or Amazon.

  • That case is garbage.

  • @MidNiteR32

Why? It's won so many awards. Do you mean it's not worth the high price?

  • Can't wait for the Cosmos 2!

  • the end is great

  • I bought the the Cooler Master Stacker 830 EVO and been using ever since. But the case is INCREDIBLY difficult to dust.. Also bought the Coolermaster HAF X 942 and was very impressed. The HAF X 942 is nice and all. But until you slap aftermarket fans in those 200mm spots.. the airflow isnt as high as one would expect. The included fans are just not good enough. I always wanted the Cosmos for its updated design compared to the Stacker Evo. But no removable motherboard tray seriously?

  • cosmos 2 is sexy

  • what DOES come with a removable motherboard tray?

watched all the reviews like haf x, rv02, ft02, etc and they all don't have a removable motherboard tray lol

  • @seankor90

The Zalman Z-Machine LQ1000, watercooled case and built with silence in mind, come with removable mobo tray.

  • @daodaios Zalman Z-Machine LQ1000 is a $600 case, you can buy a Cooler Master Cosmos S and have $400 left over for that price.

  • @seankor90 many cases do, my old cooler master CM Stacker had a removable tray

  • @seankor90 Most Cooler Master cases don't have it (and the full towers don't need it at all, I have a mid-tower and the space for working inside AFTER installation was perfect).

The Cooler Master ATCS 840 is one the few CM cases that have removable motherboard tray.

  • Is this case good??? I want to buy a new case and i want cosmos s or HAF X ???

  • will the un-removable motherboard tray be a problem?

  • I wish they had this in a mid tower cause i dont have enough room for a full tower

  • Hi Roodney!! Tell me, are you gay?

  • @ThePENON Have you Seen His wife!!! :P Believe me... He's not Gay!!!

  • @kearneyl8047 Wheres wodneys wife?

  • @kearneyl8047 actually that seems to be the ultimate proof he's gay, hot chicks love gay guys

  • This guy is typical repeat man for every case and what he is describing is like a child's play lol He is funny lol

  • And marking my question as a SPAM lead to conclusions that he is working for good mmoney and getting instructions from the manufacturer what to say and what to not say-the pure things.

  • major fail for eatx option, you can't fit 4 video cards.

  • would be nice if you could review the Cosmos Pure!!!!!! PLEAAAASE!

  • @JohnHelgeK Not trying to be funny but why would he do a review on the Pure when he already did a review on the Cosmos 1000 and the Pure is just a all black Cosmos 1000??? Lol

  • Hey rodney i have very nice case , but unfortunately my motherboard tray is not removable ;)

  • could you do a review of the corsair 600t graphite case plase and thankyou

  • Again the same thing, how much cooler master give you the money to not say the bad sides of the product ? WHERE IS THE RESET BUTTON???? And as codsta23 said about anti vibrating mechanism in aluminum enclosure! Also could something happen to that famose biometric power button and stop working? Say something about principle on which it works? If you do the reviews do it right. It is not advertisement for the shampoo on TV mate.

  • @NeNadBeograd

why should you need a reset button? lol, keep the power button pressed for a few seconds, it shuts itself down, than you can put it on again? takes 2 seconds and a touch longer

  • @Imblackhawk Your counclusin is more than infantile! The reset button is a standard in 99,999 %! Are you some kind of devil's advocate to Rdodney or you are himself in person asking me such a stupid question? Also I asked for that biometric button and the way it is working because we all know what biometric means it is a finger print signature so I wanted to know!

  • @NeNadBeograd

Ok, see it from the bright side: i don't need a reset button, my hardware/ software works fine!

No serius, i think your right about things the manufacturer wants him to say. (sorry my english is quite bad)

But still the case kicks ass (have it myself) Its just a nice case to see too, and as i sad my hardeware and software works fine, never needed a reset button.

  • @NeNadBeograd

I think he must of simply overlooked the fact that it had no reset button.

  • @NeNadBeograd how many times have you ever pressed the reset button?

  • @rowanlewisuk Many times because every time I install some program some of it ask me to automatically restart but since I want to install some other programs and after that I want to restart. There is a plenty situation when I use reset button.I really like this Cosmos S and don't believe that such a logical question is so strange. And also the biometric power button which I do not trust from experience from other biometrics cases. To make a review and then to expect not to ask questions is a

  • @NeNadBeograd vanity issue.

  • cosmos 1000 is nicer looking/better overall IMO

  • Rodney, your awesome, but enough with the removable motherboard tray fetish, come on. That is a priority for 0.0000000000001% of people choosing a case. If anything they just add more parts to be either broken or to rattle.

  • @codsta23 You also need to consider the price tag about msrp 200 bucks. People may start to seek the removable motherboard if the price tag is about 180 bucks of tower case.

However, I am more interested in the anti-vibration mechanism of HDD.

Rodney, If you are reviewing aluminum case, you must include explaining the anti-vibrating mechanism of case. I am not gonna by ANY aluminum enclosure without anti-vibrating mechanism, because they are much ligher, and much easily vibrate by HDD

  • do the fans connect to the mobo or the psu?

  • When IS the motherboard tray removable?

  • @Wookie1234567 on some Liam-Li cases it is

  • @Wookie1234567

The motherboard tray IS NEVER...removable... :D

  • @MrCptGonzo yea it is, theres lots of cases with a removable mobo tray

  • @Wookie1234567 sometimes it is.

  • @Wookie1234567 When the case is made by Ultra, there PSU's suck, but their trays are removable.

  • Thanks for this review...it played a major factor in my decision to buy this beauty (since the HAF X isnt available in my country)...

Nice job and green flame to you :)

PS: how come i havent seen a review that DIDNT get a kick ass quality award yet?

  • go ahead and poooosh botton iin

  • i bought one of these on ebay as faulty, with touch sensor switch not eing able to work. Got it working again.Spent money on other things that wer faulty like coolit water pump, 1100w psu etc etc puttin it all together in few weeks n il post a vid. This case is massive, it is huge. If your gona buy one of these, make sure you have enough space.

  • I know the front intake fan is a red LED. Is the exhaust fan on the top red as well?

  • Which is better, Cosmos 1000 Black Interior or Cosmos S (this one)? I like the looks of the 1000 Black Interior version better, but which one would you guys recommend?

  • Comment removed

  • @patrikk777 Are ou going to use more then 5 5.25 bay or do you going to add so much hardware that you think the extra airflow in the Cosmos S going to be needed? If no I don´t see any real up with the Cosmos S over the Cosmos 1000.

  • if this kase supported the evga sr-2 then it wooda made dream macheen 2010

  • best Case ever! xD

  • this case rules ass i must have it and will when i get money

  • I have this case, I don't mind the lack of a removable motherboard tray but the cable management on the right side is very narrow, you'd need a modular power supply to save yourself from headaches, or you'd be like me slamming the panel shut repeatedly until it closes XD

    Specs:

    Asus Crosshair 4 Formula

    8 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3

    AMD Phenom 2 X4 965

    Nvidia GTX 470

    500GB 7200 rpm W.D Caviar Black

    Zalman CNPS 9700 NT

    Corsair 850w

  • I have to say this is the sexiest case ever lol

  • If i send you a removable motherboard tray to i get a 100% kickass?

  • @ijykmy Does the pope have sex with little boys?

  • Does the 200mm fan on the side have a dust filter?

  • @martiallink to my understanding, the entire mesh panel you see on the left side has a dust filter.

  • "at the back of the case at the very top there are 2 levers which allow the left......... wheres the lever? i cant find it"

  • WELL spoken. Very nice to se you are human at the end of this video. Funny!! I want a new case, and you are VERY good at mentioning the important things and speaks clearly. A kick@ product!

  • Wow, seriously 3dGameMan you really have made making a decision for a lot of computer parts much easier. Thanks for these indepth reviews.

  • @3DGAMEMAN what u did..

made ur own website and left the youtubes for dead all you care about is urself!!

  • do you get the transparent panel with it?

  • This one or the Thermaltake Armor+ ?

  • I LOVE THIS CASE!

  • LMAO I just watch the outtakes at the end, not the actual video.

  • could u fit a 5970 in there?

  • @124Z312 yes u can

  • @124Z312 yep

  • @124Z312 u can even fit a 7970 in this case if theres 1~

  • @SAMR33 what the hell is a 7970?

  • coollll

  • This one or the 1000?? i like the 1000 cause of the hard drive cages and overall feel to it. This one because it has better airflow and a badass look to it but poor hard drive support

  • that power button is very bad 1. when you are butting USB or Michrophone or something you can just touch and the the computer turn off =( but nice case :D

  • Hey Rodney, basically everytime I buy a computer part, you have already reviewed it.

what a great resource to have!

    Thanks a bunch

  • @Skinna5 Don't forget PCWizKid.

  • @Skinna5 But unfortunately, the motherboard tray is not removable.

  • does this guy ever have a bad review??

  • No because he only reviews hyped items and most of them are already good

  • how do you restart it? with the power button?

  • btw... in my opinion they really killed it for me by having that RED on it... make it blue make it anything other than red. No, scratch that just make it blue =)

  • its a 5 dollar fan , get over it.

  • no no.. the red trim at the top front of the case..

  • OH lol , i stand corrected , i apologize and sincerely agree.

  • I am in complete agreement with you. But I got this case for £49.99 in PC World thanks to a very nice labeling mistake so I'm not going to complain too much.

  • Can there be more than 4 HDD's mounted in this case?

  • @blahbleblurrr no only 4 can be mounted

  • yes if you buy extra cages like the Thermaltake iCage which fits this case perfectly ( and has an extra fan for even more outrageous airflow!)

  • I like the Cosmos 1000 better

  • @ vadardetforfel: why is that?

  • Worry about card length? What???

This case has 15" to work with.

Even the latest, greatest video cards are only 11".(GeForce GTX295, Radeon 5870)

15"-11"=4" gap between the card and the drive bay area. Plenty of room for cables and air flow.

  • the best cpu coolers doesnt fit it lol, even their cooler master cpu cooler doesnt fit it lol

  • does anyone know a cpu cooler that can fit this case for intel i7 cpu? (not water cooler)

  • i dont think there are any that wont fit

  • hey 3DGAMEMAN a question.... I found this case in a web page and somewhere in the specs of it, it says that this case is specially built for nvidia sli support... I don't know why it says that because I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference from a sli support case and a non sli support case... but I'm wondering, this case does work with crossfire???? right?? :D:D

    so thats all... thanks!

  • Yes of course it does, it is just a way to advertise nvidia products :)

  • all right man thanks!!

  • @rompecondon just as Shas221 said. The only thing you have to worry about is card length

  • I'll keep that case for the next 20 years, if possible

  • untol next, time wodney weynolds...

  • power button, reset button, power button reset button, power button, reset button. Have you guys seen the Ventrillo Harassment with Rodney sounds?

  • It's a lot nicer looking than the HAF

  • Yea, the cosmos is pretty fancy but at least it's not fugly like the HAF.

  • gotta love the last part lolz :D

  • I love your description Help me to choose betwenne a lot of the case I want

  • i wanted to know how does this case compare with the cosmos 1000 in terms of noise. I reckon the 1000 should be more silent, though I wonder by how much.

  • "itss prudy good ya !!" lol

  • This is a MONSTER!

  • shud i get this or 932?

  • if you like the looks, then go for either but if you want to watercool, go with this. not too many differences aside from looks.

  • go with this one

  • @HOTTESTHERE seems that it have no airflows

    :o

  • it have airflow but not a good one but use water cooling it is so much better than air

  • @HOTTESTHERE

yeah and its alot more hassle

  • It support 6x 120mm and a 1x 200mm and ventilated drivebays.

    Got one by myself.

    tmkoeln

  • do you think I could reverse that 20cm intake fan to an exhaust fan

  • i dont think you can, The other side holes dont have threads for screws to go in.

  • with a little modding , you can do everything :)

  • Lol no modding involved.. undo the screws like a normal fan and flip it around, tbh side fans actually cool less effiecnelty due to air flow disruption

  • what air disruption?

  • Comment removed

  • this case looks 10x more sexy when paint-modded

  • gonna buy this cage , or the cosmos 1000 - model . anyway great review , thank you for this !

  • Is it better to have more Intake fans than Exhaust fans, or more Exhaust fans than Intake fans.

  • doesn't really matter.

  • doesn't matter ...whatever you want it to be. I prefer exhaust but intake is not forgotten

  • hahaha lmao 05:15

  • Does this case really support micro ATX form? From CM website it said only extended ATX and ATX.

  • microATX n' ATX website said

  • Why wouldn't it?

mATX is just smaller, nothing else is different & the mounts are the same.

  • DONT BUY THIS!!! my cusin has one and it blew up and now he doesnt have a house and the case is the size of a sofa!!!

  • /facepalm

  • lolwut?

  • the case blew up?....wtf

  • If you tap the power button it resets it, and if you hold your ginger on it then it just powers off.

  • what if I don't have any gingers D:

  • Comment removed

  • lol, sorry. I meant "finger"

  • lol

  • I bought this a year ago...freaking awesome.

  • why does it not have a reset buttom?

  • cause cooler master made it this way.

  • but still it´s not like an old case so it should have one

  • well. i have never needed a reset button. i just hold the on/off button for 4 seconds and the pc shuts down. then i can start it again. no big deal.

  • :P ya u can do that 2

  • you don't need one unless you use Vista.

  • Rodney please make the review of Aplua el diablo advance

    please please please please

  • I think I would rather buy the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000.

  • I cant find this case no more

  • Double-negative = meaning you actually CAN find it

  • trueo

  • just bought this case, looks amazing

  • I love this case it suites all my needs. @ Nefus2 yes all the intake ports have dust filters (including the whole front end) the only places there isn't any filters are the top 3 and rear exhaust fans. As for the hard drives you have to pull the whole hard drive cage out (there are screws on the opposite side of the case just clicking the tool less button won't work) and you have to install the HDDs in the cage with screws.

  • Couldn´t he show how to put in harddrives? Do you put them in like in the Cooler Master HAF 932? There you just pop them in and press on a button?

Do all the fans have a dustfilter?

  • No god cable management

  • pretty loud?!

  • You can really mod the hell out of this amazing case, excellent case and great review :D

  • 2.30

the craziest moment on this video....lol

  • I absolutely agree... I actually cheered :P

  • Hopefully i can get one of these for my next build : )

  • where is the reset button 0_o

  • support a 4 fan radiator upside..?

  • No, but it can do a 3x120mm fan radiator ontop

  • Looks like something from Star Trek! AWESOME

  • how much is it for the case?

  • It costs $200 USD on NEWEGG, but you could get it refurbished for about $110 from Cooler-Master's web store. The latter is what I'm going to buy. But they also have a sweet deal on the refurbished Stacker 830 w/ 1000W PSU for $200.

  • Rodney,

Will you be reviewing the Cooler Master Cosmos Pure anytime soon?

I think it is a really good case and I would like to see someone as knowledgeable as yourself do a nice lengthy review of it, going rather in depth too would be excellent.

    Cheers buddy.

  • Totally agree!

Rodney would really appreciate your input on the Cosmos Pure. The hard drive management, VGA air tunnel and the cooling performace would make very, very avid viewing.

    Looking forward to it!

    Cheers,

    Richard

  • The only difference between the Cosmos Pure and 1000 seems, to me, to be purely cosmetic. Thus, it would negate the purpose of a 'lengthy' review.

  • I have a question: Is his wife made of "ALluminnum"

  • i have a question, i am soon getting this case but i want to install some more 120mm fans to it and i want to know what color the stock ones that come with the case is? so i can buy 4 more as same color

  • the front is clear with a red LED.

the back and top are black.
