In less than 20 years CGI will be good enough to not have to use real actors anymore. Computer animated characters don't treat non celebs as crap, don't have inflated egos to pander too or demand 20 million a movie. Its only a matter of time.

Technologically, you are absolutely right. But don't forget that stars are what makes the movie business go 'round. Movie stars will only disappear with movies. Of course that for digitized people (like Sharon Stone etc.), it will be possible to act after their death. But the important and interesting roles will always be the real, live ones. That's for sure.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Whether or not we'll have the technology doesn't even matter. A CGI character can't method act. A CGI character can't spend month and months preparing for a role, becoming that character. Method actors do this so that when the cameras begin to role they act as how THEY think the character would while still sticking to the story guidelines. And don't forget about celebrity charm and how a single actor's name can send people flooding to the theatre.
