  • its chatter rings stupid dipshit

  • Gyro ring because the cookout one have a big chunk of fibro bro

  • Gyro ring, sling ring, jitter ring, chatter ring

  • i have one it is called jitter ring !

  • U on meth?

  • I've got one of those somewhere! Yeah, it's called a Gyro Ring. Slap the small rings to start them spinning, keep the large ring turning and through the process of precession the small rings keep turning while wobbling.

Notice that I said I have one SOMEWHERE? Yeah... It gets old.

  • Bowie Chick,

First of all, it is officially and originally called a gyro ring. Other names are jitter ring and chatter ring, but those are copy-cat brands. Anyway, yes I have one and everyone in Colorado Springs, CO, knows about them, they're just not as popular. I am pretty good at the tricks myself and they can be really challenging, but fun. So yeah, good luck with your gyro ring!

  • @NinjaJayzk You have got the spirit right, NinjaJayzk, but the facts are a bit topsy turvy. :) Here's a bit of history: jitterring.co.nz/about-the-jitter-ring/history-of-the-ring/

  • my cuzin has one and hes really good at it it was so cool

  • Jitter ring/ chatter ring/ gyro ring (it has lots of names)

  • ITS CALLED A GYRO RING

  • You found my cock ring!

  • Ive heard of jitter, chatter, and gyro rings

  • It's a chatter ring, and the *type* of chatter ring you are holding is an original Gyro Ring - the BIG version circa 1994/1995, 10.5 inch diameter, large hard plastic beads. Later, around 1997, Gyro Ring introduced new, smaller, versions based on the New Zealand style all-metal chatter rings. One of the original kiwi designs, now known as the Jitter Ring, sold in Hawaii, UK, Israel and Japan in 1997~2000. Some new Jitter Ring chatter rings are available again in Hawaii and NZ, since May 2011.

  • Aah chatter rings - a classic and very nostalgic toy from my childhood - I missed the simplicity of them, so I just bought one the other week, much better than what all the kids nowadays are interested in.

  • I have one, Love it, but yes if you never try any of the tricks then yes it is really boring. It's called a Gyro Ring, and it works on physics, once you understand what it is really doing then the tricks are much easier.

  • it is not ward...yoou are...taaaaaaahahahaahah jk jk i think they are cool

  • gyro ring sista

  • there called gyro rings!

  • its a chatter ring, how have u never seen one before?

  • its a chatter ring... but ive never seen one in real life b4

  • your kinda weird its called a gyro ring

  • Comment removed

  • Yep a chatter ring. They became really popular here in about '96, all the kids got one!

I heard they were designed to help people with some disabilities/handicaps as a tool to improve their hand-eye co-ordination, but they were kind of fun, so everyone started playing with them!

  • you have a big face

  • i want one of those!

  • its a chatter ring!

  • GYRO RING. I have one lolll

  • @BubbaDangz let me know if you find the mean ones mate, i had the mean ones from toy world with the round rings. so much better than the hex washers

  • Comment removed

  • no they are acullay called chatter rings because my mum has some of those's rings and she gave them to me and i know how to use them

  • those are called a gyro ring i have one exactly like that

  • lol

  • THE "SLING RING" WITH WASHERS IS A KNOCK OFF THAT IS CHEATING! The ones this girl has are the traditional, original Gyro Rings that actually REQUIRE SKILL to use, you stupid low-ability swine! Get off the page unless you know what you're talking about!

  • All people who play this game, whether or not you use a brand name or otherwise to describe it, are part of a single community. This community of players should always be willing to present ideas and understandings of the various aspects of the game in a positive light.

    -

Those who are more experienced have a responsibility to be upstanding examples and help everyone who aspires to learn from them as best they can.

    -

This is a wonderful game that anyone of any age or background can enjoy. Peace

  • And to you, ProSlinger, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE F*CK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. IT ISNT A "SLING RING" DUMB ROCK! NOT A CHATTER RING, NOT A JITTER RING, IT IS GYRO RINGS

  • They are called Gyro Rings. GYRO RINGS! Nothing else! They are great and I am - BY FAR - the best at them from everybody I have seen on the Internet and everything. They are a toy from HAWAII in the 1980's and the creator is my broter's old friend. Pretty cool, the idea that you used YouTube to ask. I WANT TO SEE NO MORE POSTS AFTER THIS ONE BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO TELL ABOUT THIS.

  • they are called Gyro-Ring® they are from levitron.inc!!! i love that company they have sooooooooo many toys that are cool!!!!!!

  • its a chatter ring and i used to have one but want one because i cant find my old one... theyre not weird. theyre awesome !!!

  • The generic name for this device is a Sling Ring. Your particular model is a not so playable "toy" version. The better type of ring is made only of metal, usually brass beads (washers) and a stainless steel ring.

There are many many tricks possible with a better style of ring. It is too bad that yours isn't all that usable...sorry.

    Have a nice day!

  • its chatter rings............

    the GYRO RING

  • hey i was born in newzealand and at the time when they first came out my brother bought one and now i have it its called a chatter ring and by the way u start at the top not at the bottom

  • You cant start at top or bottom. It is a juggling item so, you can do either way. As, long as your doing it and enjoying it, and if you have an audience they are enjoying it. Then it is all good.

  • jitter ring yeah i hav 1 but nvr use it and i cant

  • hey i live in new zealand and chatter rings were so popular but they stopmaking them because they sold out every day but when there was a day when no 1 bought 1 because every 1 had 1 and they stop selling them but i just didnt get 1 iv played with 1 but iv never had 1 im sad now that i didnt get 1 lol :~(

  • Chatter rings are usually a game played by children in zimbabwe or in my case england growing up. the point is to get your friend to spin the rings and see who can reach both sides the fastest, one side, reverse then other side. and with the most rings at the top.

  • I know it isn't but that ring kind of looks like a thing a bird plays with..LOL..but it's to big..a bird would probably like it though..Bet if you get a BUNCH of them jitter rings going outside, the people next door would move away! :-D

    Regards, RICESKI

  • RICESKI your such a suck up...

And that was totally not funny

Also.. How can you use it on your teeth!!!!

    Regards, The Suck Up.

  • Lol, I guess your right about 'The babies just gum the metal' Meh =]

    Regards,

    Sam

  • Bwah! Double cleavage and cyclops eyes! *covers own eyes*

I was always partial to kaliedescopes and those things you lift to the top of a metal rod and let go, and it bounces down to the bottom on a spring... usually they have a woodpecker on it or something.

    its called 3 different things

  • I Googled it and it's called a Chatter Ring Toy. http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~moloney/AppComp/2001Entries/e04a/chatteringtoy.htm

  • I remember them. Can't help with the name tho. =\

  • its a gyro ring or summat i think , the yo stick is better though, they rock

  • Lol. I have no clue what that is. But I just realised your video's are quite entertaining, and CUTE. Bahahahahahaa.

  • I used to have one of those... No help on what the name is though; I have no clue! XD

  • I'v had one sense forever, I don't know what it is called though ><

  • that thing used to be a BIG fad in my school when it first came out..was like in 1998??? or so like that...1997??? its something like ringos or something like that...not really sure what the heck its called..but its interesting! and fun! and it was popular like POGS! i duno if u ever heard of pogs before..if u havent ill explain if u want me too.

  • I loved pogs!!!! I had so many!

  • HAHA elementary years were the best! pogs..we even collected erasers those design ones they sell at fun factory...the game store like dave and busters...not sure what u guys have there...but we collected those and pogs and ahhhhhhhh memories!!! LOL

  • I used to have so many of those as well! What was the point in them, though? Lol

  • I think I've seen one but I didn't know what it was. How do you know that's how you use it? Maybe it's some alien contraption or a sex toy of some kind.

  • Yep, my son shoplifted one when he was around 2 (he's 11 now) from one of those educational toy stores. He managed to hide it underneath him and we didn't notice until we got home from the mall. Like, you I didn't understand the point of it, but I eventually figured out how it worked. Hours of fun, right?

  • hahahahaha that's too funny that you'll put on a video like that and people will say you rock... hahahaha but it's true, you do. Peace!

  • Do you remember how tops appear to start "wobbling" as they slow down? This rotation of the spinning axis is called precession and causes the ring to press on one side of the hole in the spinning top. The contact point between the ring and the top can be thought of as a gear that changes the motion of the upward moving ring into the top's spinning motion.

  • hmmm
