No, because the problem is, if you want to buy it for 199 you have to sign a contract, and pay like 50$ every month... You can only put another sim card on it and use it if you buy it free from contract, and that way it costs a lot more...

Restoring it will un-jailberak it. It even fixes the voided warranty. so if you send it to apple for some reason they shouldn't know that it has ever been jailbroken.

Dude this happened to me. I just put it into recovery mode. Hold home and connect it to iTunes until iTunes pops up. Then click Restore. Worked for me.

Hold down the home and the sleep button, and wait until it shouts down. Don't hold the buttons for a long while, cause it will reboot. Now you're able to put it in recovery mode.

Jailbreaking the iPhone. Basically unlocking it to make it available for other carriers besides ATT. Jailbreaking also allows you to do more on your iPhone like change themes, install games, SNES, etc.

I did that too in NYC 5th Ave. Bought 2 IPhones, downloaded twice the Ziphone utility (i've done it in 2 different days) and full unlocked both. The hardest part was to find a pinpoint to exchange the SIMcard :D
