I saw Edgar Winter' in 1972 after their second album came out. They were billed with all people, Don Mclean "American Pie" at the Richmond Arena in Richmond, Virginia. Mclean came out and said and I quote: "This Sound System Sucks!" The wine and beer bottles flew and he ducked for cover. Then this band came out, and played "Keep Playin that Rock and Roll" AWESOME!

This is a great album. I saw Edgar Winter's White Trask live at the old Fillmore East. It was supposed to be a Johnny Winter concert, but he gor sick, But the Fillmore didn't cancel the show. They said on the radio to go to the show and be surprised. I went and saw Cactus, Humble Pie, and then Edgar Winter's White Trash, who played until 4 in the morning, Great replacement show. I think the tickets were either $5 or $7. Those days are gone. I can't find "Can't Turn You Loose" on YouTube.

This is one of the best Albums on my all time list !!!!Going to see Edgar & Rick July 3 rd In A.C. with Ringos all stars ,AWESOME I wish the had video of that concert .KICK ASS
I still have (and listen to) my original LP of this as well as Johnny Winter's 'Saints & Sinners' as well as Edgar's 'They Only Come Out At Night'. I guess these guys were just too good for their own good. Radio didn't 'get' them and that's a shame. They still have volumes to teach today's musicians. Cheers!
@Bubbakahuna ..I remember calling our rock radio station in the 70`s and requesting Johnny Winter...the idiot told me "Its not in our format" Johnny Winter..."ROCK N ROLL" not a rock format...
That's how we got back together, thru FB. I haven't seen him in person since the mid 80's. We joined the Army together. I managed to retire from there in 95. He's 3 years younger than me and a Grandfather. That shocked me a bit.
One of my favorite all time albums, a double album that shaped my rock taste for the rest of my life. Still have it, must go and find it to play again.
And it should be "Edgar Winters White Trash". Not Edgar Winter and White Trash. This came from Edgar and Johnny playing and their mother saying, "You sound like a bunch of white trash". That's where the name was adopted from.
When I was 15 I wore that album out. I remember carrying the album around to all fo my friends houses. Garrard turntables, Pioneer speakers, Sansui amps. Ahh the days.
I'll post it in two parts at some point, unfortunately YouTube is only letting me upload videos of ten minutes or less. It's a shame, as it's an amazing performance.

Used to play this album EVERY night during 1972.
This captured live music at it's zenith point..hi energy music played by real musicians.
This album also landmarked Johnny Winter's re-appearance onto the music scene after his re-hab, as he makes an entrance to do "R'nR Hootchie -Koo".

It's a real shame that to find any music worth listening to you have to go back to the years 1969 - 1979

I'll put these guys up against anyone, from any era.
