  • I had this album, played it till it had grooves in it! Yea, I am talking about REAL vinyl!LOL

  • Rick Derringer sounds great as a vocalist "and" guitarist!

  • i saw white trash in early 70's

  • White Trash and the Winter's rock!

  • I saw Edgar Winter' in 1972 after their second album came out. They were billed with all people, Don Mclean "American Pie" at the Richmond Arena in Richmond, Virginia. Mclean came out and said and I quote: "This Sound System Sucks!" The wine and beer bottles flew and he ducked for cover. Then this band came out, and played "Keep Playin that Rock and Roll" AWESOME!

  • a fantastic band !!

    we miss you guys...

  • Thanks for posting. This is an underrated live album. LaCroix and Winter were great together.

  • got this album on vinyl (15 here) i love it os much im startin to collect vinyl from anywhere i can get

  • kickin' it too hard!

  • Used to play this album EVERY night during 1972.

This captured live music at it's zenith point..hi energy music played by real musicians.

This album also landmarked Johnny Winter's re-appearance onto the music scene after his re-hab, as he makes an entrance to do "R'nR Hootchie -Koo".

  • Great album, this is what I call Punch!!

  • This is a great album. I saw Edgar Winter's White Trask live at the old Fillmore East. It was supposed to be a Johnny Winter concert, but he gor sick, But the Fillmore didn't cancel the show. They said on the radio to go to the show and be surprised. I went and saw Cactus, Humble Pie, and then Edgar Winter's White Trash, who played until 4 in the morning, Great replacement show. I think the tickets were either $5 or $7. Those days are gone. I can't find "Can't Turn You Loose" on YouTube.

  • In my opinion one of the best live albums ever.

  • It's a real shame that to find any music worth listening to you have to go back to the years 1969 - 1979

  • Still gives me chills all these years later

  • where is the song from this live album ( BACK IN THE U.S.A.? I know it's on this album I have the original album

  • I played and played to Album, Johnny, Edgar, Rick Derringer just mad magical music together. Where are the guitar players like these anymore?

  • Rock...funk/.soul/.blues/.great vocals /.horns/.guitar.....pure WINTER !

  • I have this on Epics Stereo Cassette sitting here with the cassette in my hands.

Thank goodness for "You Tube" to be able to hear this cuz...I don't have a cassette player anymore..

  • This is Rick Derringer singing this one (and of course playing guitar).

  • RICK DERRINGER ACTUALLY WROTE THIS SONG & FRANKENSTEIN FOR EDGAR....KNOW RICK PRETTY WELL...WE USED TO PARTY @ 'THE TOMMOROW CLUB' IN YOUNGSTOWN, OH...

  • had the cassett in the late 70s. recently found a cd. it rocks

  • Oh Yeah! Still Alive & Well!! turn it UP!!!

  • May have been little known, but certainly doesn't take away the great live performance. That stage was full of great artists!

  • One of the best live albums of all time!!!

  • Here we go,Steve! ...

    Still alive and well..

Every now & then.I know it`s kinda hard to tell

    Still alive and well!

  • seen this show in clearwater, u talkin' bout awesome! drank some beers with them afterwards @ Green benches and more.

  • This is a 'really-great-version' of this song and it gets "real-busy at 3:20 seconds, don't you agree?

  • Does anyone have a vidio of Jerry Laqroix doing "Driving Wheel"?

  • This is one of the best Albums on my all time list !!!!Going to see Edgar & Rick July 3 rd In A.C. with Ringos all stars ,AWESOME I wish the had video of that concert .KICK ASS

  • "The Nice Price" sticker lol! God those were the good old days, buying music in the record stores!

  • This is cool !

    Who's on guitar ?

    Derringer ?

  • I still have (and listen to) my original LP of this as well as Johnny Winter's 'Saints & Sinners' as well as Edgar's 'They Only Come Out At Night'. I guess these guys were just too good for their own good. Radio didn't 'get' them and that's a shame. They still have volumes to teach today's musicians. Cheers!

  • @Bubbakahuna ABSOLUTELY!! GOOD CALL !!!!

  • @Bubbakahuna ..I remember calling our rock radio station in the 70`s and requesting Johnny Winter...the idiot told me "Its not in our format" Johnny Winter..."ROCK N ROLL" not a rock format...

  • Had the 8 Track of this. Don't remember how many times that my friend Brian taped it back together.

  • question is...are you still friends with brian?

  • Yes we are. He lives in Kansas and I'm in Pa.

  • thats cool man...i stay in touch with my buddies as well and with facebook have reunited with a few people as well...

    peace

  • That's how we got back together, thru FB. I haven't seen him in person since the mid 80's. We joined the Army together. I managed to retire from there in 95. He's 3 years younger than me and a Grandfather. That shocked me a bit.

  • Loved the Winters!

  • One of my favorite all time albums, a double album that shaped my rock taste for the rest of my life. Still have it, must go and find it to play again.

  • Edgar always had the best bands. Listen to how tight these guys are! When rock musicians could actually play!

I'll put these guys up against anyone, from any era.

  • And it should be "Edgar Winters White Trash". Not Edgar Winter and White Trash. This came from Edgar and Johnny playing and their mother saying, "You sound like a bunch of white trash". That's where the name was adopted from.

  • Have had this album since the early 70's. Several of these were recorded at the Whiskey A Go Go.

  • Edgar, Johnny, and Rick kicked butt back in these days. I had a bunch of thier albums and still get pumped up when I hear these songs.....

Long live Johnny, Edgar, and Rick!

    RIP Randy Jo

  • Flashback! Randy Jo inspired me to play bass. Whooop!

  • I saw them doing this live in Staten Island, I think some of the material was recorded at those shows. Killer band.

  • I had this LP and played till the grooves wore out...

  • Wonder if Nancy Regan would have approved of this as a "Just say No" tune? Think it was about the 1st incarnation of meth back then.

  • I think Ric Flair stole the Woooo from Rick Derringer.

  • When I was 15 I wore that album out. I remember carrying the album around to all fo my friends houses. Garrard turntables, Pioneer speakers, Sansui amps. Ahh the days.

  • Derringer sings and plays a killer solo on "Living In The U.S.A." from this LP.

  • the end of this record answers my own question----definitely Rick on lead vocals. Man the White Trash horns were hot!

  • i used to have this LP back in the day . I can't remember but was that Rick Derringer singing lead on this one?

  • um....this isn't a video....

  • Out-FREAKIN-standing

  • Need to put Tobacco Road from that album as well, haven't heard that version in over 35 years

  • I'll post it in two parts at some point, unfortunately YouTube is only letting me upload videos of ten minutes or less. It's a shame, as it's an amazing performance.

  • AAA+++

  • "the nice price"....I haven't seen that in decades

  • THANKS for the upload! I have been looking on youtube for about two years for White Trash.

    Excellent!!!

  • yeah what he said...
