  • very cool! Wonder why one fag had to dislike it?

  • @cowbiker maybe he was ignorant and didn't believe the price tags. I know lots of people who think we exaggerate how expensive equipment and training are and underestimate the hours we serve.

  • great video dude......... :)

  • That was a cool video, thank You

  • Hey I was just helping you out. And now you are technically a hypocrite.

  • Maybe you should spell check the vid description.

  • this is very true, right now our department doesn't have but a few thousand, and just got three new recruits. We're having to look everywhere for grants, support us, maybe not for yourself but for all others in need

  • This video is right on - every community should show the video on its public access television station

  • Thanks for this video, as a volunteer firefighter it is shocking how many people don't know. How many fire departments are volunteer and how many of us, fight fire and save life's not for money but for a deep rooted drive we were born with and can never get rid of it is in our blood and we will always need support so we can safely fight fire and save life's Its hard when you have to buy your own turn out gear because all of my fire departments gear in my size is to old to be used

  • @187lsd try asking another fire dept for their used bunker, turn out gear.i Am a volunteer fire fighter in Princeton,Maine,U.S.A.

  • Thank you for that video, I myself am a volunteer firefighter and your right we need all the support we can get and once again Thank you.

  • thanks for the video man. stay safe

  • As a volunteer firefighter, Thank you. Many people forget about us. It is good to know that there are people out there that remember us too.

  • I wanted to volunteer at BFD (Blaney Fire Department) my father said that I should. But after I filled out the papers and made and called the asst. chief to meet and tk to him, my dad said that if I get hurt I dont have the right health insurance to cover the bills, so I cant do it. But I think that it is actually b/c i am the youngest of me an my sis, or the fact that i will be doing something better than being a police officer like him.

  • Most volunteer squads have workmans comp, and if they don't they should. But if your hurt while on duty, they have insuarnce for that. How old are you?

  • Im 16 thats y im volunteering.

  • your fire department has a cadet program?

  • oh you need to be 18 to be a "Volunteer Firefighter"

    14-21 Explores,Juniors and Cadets

  • yea i know but down here in SC almost everyone calls JR. FF's Volunteers, so...

  • @Don5271 Agreed, I am a 15 year old cadet and still have it

  • yeah man go for it if u get hurt will on a call then u r covered the fire dept has to pay all the med bills

  • Everyone chooses their own destiny, my suggestion is that you follow your own heart/dream as it will be you who has to live with it for the rest of your life.

  • The Station or City should cover most of your health insurance

  • @FedEx1126 Usually if something happens to you as a firefighter your covered under your fire departments insurance.

  • Good job, Brings out a valid point, We need volunteers and they need the support. Great music too.

  • volunteers have to earn the money to get our equipment

  • u have to buy ure own stuff i thought they provide it for u

  • at my department everything is supplied for us , we just do a lil fundraising to add to our budget...

  • This is a awasome clip and like others syai tl make a awsome commercial it would!

  • Sweet vid. RIP Chief Buck Clough. Station 6 Sudlersville MD

  • great thanks from the bouthers and sisters of the erin volunteer fire department THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO

    Friendship from a french firefighter

    Sauver Ou Périr

  • Transportation is now about 1 million.

  • im thinking about becoming a volenteer firefighter

  • If you can put you heart and soul in it JOIN! But there is no glamour just alot of work and sometimes long days and nights. But its a good feeling knowing you were there trying to make difference.

  • This would be a good commercial letting people know that they need to remember and honor their local firefighters;volunteer or not...

Thank You Guys out there for what you do...

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY FIREFIGHTER'S SOLE

  • Thank you

  • thankyou from the vollies from TFSVFD Montana we appreciate the fact that someone tributes the vollies god bless be safe and make it home every night at end of call we walk where the devil dances

  • Ill never forget what one of my instructors told us A few years ago. Volunteer firefighters are the modern day minute men.

  • AMEN!

  • LOVE THIS im a 9 year Vol. love my job and loved this vid its a great eye opener.................what if volenteers didnt volenteer?

  • great eye opener for alot of ppl i hope. my dept went to a school for fire prevention week... the teachers had no clue what the costs were for the dept just to be able to work a car wreck, or go and fight a structure fire. ppl dont realize we also have regular monthly bills just like they do.

    video was awsome, thank you

  • that is hot i am a vollie in delaware

  • hurray for volunteer firies! I'm one in Tasmania and I love it, I'm going become a career firie one day.

  • whats it like down there in tasie. the fires that is

  • well, it depends what the weather is doing and it's pretty damned unpredictable down here, but it gets quite dry and we do have major bushfires, for example, the scamander fires of december 2006. south east tassie, around swansea and freycinet are probably high fire dangers this season.where abouts are you from?

  • im nsw rfs and im in the blue mountains so we get some bad fire up here and so access is kind of hard up here

  • I hate when we get a brush fire thats hard to access. But thats where me and our 5 other Jr. Firefighters/Explorers come in. Were in better shape than most of the guys so they have us knock the fire down while they try to find an access point.

  • A good attention video!

    Volunteer from Denmark

  • hell yea don't forget us! my department is volenteer and we always need dontations

    God bless our Troops

    God bless America
