There is a difference between portraying violence without a philosophical lecture and glamorizing violence.

If you watched the first Batman he did not really have a good life and the more violent he became the worse his life was.

Many of these superheroes end up alone and go through tremendous pain. That does not seem like a message that "violence is not too bad" to me.

The problem is not violence or violent movies or video games.

The problem is intolerance.

Being a pacifist may sound noble or right but it is among the more corrosive things you can do if presented with a hard situation. Ideally there would be no violence but ideally you would get every wish you wanted with a flick of your wrist and your every desire would be presented to you on a whim.

Non-violence may be a good motto for the masses but in practice it has not worked and will not work. Violence on some level is necessary for our survival.

Since you lived long enough to learn how to type I know that you've taken many lives, or had them taken for you, in order to provide the food you need to sustain your life (animal lives or plant lives; maybe a protist or two).

You have killed; you have ended life in order to sustain your own life. Now if someone points a knife at your baby you won't even attempt to smack their hand away from killing your child?

I don't believe murder or violence is something to be commended, honored or idolized regardless of the circumstances but that being said, what we call violence is a necessity in our society and in our world.

Violence should be portrayed as an inhumane act, but they have glamorised it like everything else, ie. the consumption of drugs etc.

What I think whysoserious5 was referring to is that the Joker is a clown; clowns represent something funny, but the Joker twisted that image into something sick. The Joker lives off of violence, hence why he gave the video the title of "Comedic Violence". I don't think he was trying to associate comedy to violence on any level whatsoever.
