  • How many water changes is needed for him?

  • Please respond, how did you make him so big? I just bought the same tank and filter yesterday! :D

  • why is there so much overcrowded fish tanks on youtube!

  • can i buy him off you

  • He would get alot bigger in a pond.

  • My comet goldfish looks about the same size as you're big one! :)

Mine is called Milco, and it's mainly white with orange patches in it's head/dorsal fin. ;)

I just want to ask you if the other two ever bite at the big ones tail?

Cause milco has a very long tail and smaller fish that i introduce seem to target it, and it ends up being close to death with allot of injuries to it's tail and scales :(

Milco is big, but actually very placid and friendly.

  • i actually liked this because it gives a good sense of scale for the size.

  • thts not a goldfish..its a commet -.-.....a kinda mix betewwn a koi and goldfish..i have one home n when they turn completely white, they ar called sarsa commets

  • @sourz20 which are all goldfish

  • so you bought a big goldfish and put him in the 10 gallon....... obviusly it didnt grow that big in a 10 gallon

  • i have a goldfish in almost that size to i love him :) And is my fish sick? he wont spot swiming forward than backwards i making i video sometime.

  • You Call That Big?! Mine Are Giant!! I Have A Big Fat One Bigger Then My Hand And He Sees Me Pass And Follows Me By The Tank And That Means He Wants Food! And Then I Have Comet Goldfish That Are Really Big Too! SO Thats Not That Big!

  • more room and they are not

    big!!!

  • a 100 gallon really NO FISH DON'T GET BIG IF THERE ENVIRONMENT IS SMALL

  • @Superthecod

Your right, Lets lock you in a closet for a couple years see if you grow any eh? Your an idiot...

  • @Superthecod That is a myth.

  • Thats not huge, thats barely half the size of an adult...

  • more room....

  • lol some of those are stunted growth, they should all be al least a foot

  • That big goldfish needs more room. He only has like 3 times his length to swim!

  • How many times do you do water changes and WOW how much do you feed that thing LOL

  • way too small of a tank

  • the faces are cool!

  • ahh its too overcrowded! you would at least a 50 to make them happy.

  • YOU SON OF A BITCH! GET THAT BIG FISH A GOOD HOME

  • Wow that fish tank is a 10 gallon designed for tetras

  • Poor thing :(

  • @UserUnknown77

    You want to talk experience?!?

I have being keeping fish, reptiles, and birds for over 11 years!

I am going to collage to get a marine biology and herpetology degree!

You think you know shit? I have been studying this stuff for 11 years and learn more every day. Animals are my life and I plan to work with them for my whole life. I have zoo keeping experience and I am the animal expert at my local Petsmart. Don't act like you know things when talking to me!

  • @1992pattrow haha two little kids picking a fight on youtube, what losers

  • @eurasianchica

I aint no little kid. I am 18 and kn ow what I am talking about.

  • @UserUnknown77

very cruel that is what it is. Do you know a 10 gallon is only 20 inches long?

You idiots better realize that when a fish is kept in a tank to the point where it is as big as the fucking tank that it NEEDS A NEW FUCKING TANK!

For example: I moved my Cichlids to a 150 gallon from a 55 gallon so they have lots of room. FISH NEED LOTS OF FUCKING ROOM PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jeez people, The fish only need 20 more gallons room and making the switch isn't that hard xD I kept 5 in a 10 gallon for a few months before I moved them to a 55, it didn't kill them. Stop acting like its a life or death situation this person has here.

Also OP your fish are beautiful!!!!

  • my god ppl stop bitching at the size of his tank there still alive arent they!!!!! and besides i have 11 fishes in a 10 gallon tank and there happy and healthyy

  • @123ilc45 than your one sadistic fish owner.

  • terrible conditions, the black moore alone needs more room than that, as for the commons; put them in a pond!!

  • poor goldfish

  • WOW schooling is definitely not fish being social. It's their self defense from predators.

  • thats a koi

  • I have 2 Comet Goldfish like thoose, there named, Hokka and Slushy, Hokka is like 3 1/2 inches, and Slushy I just got him today, hes 2 inches. And I got a SuckerFish named, Slurpee. He's 2 1/2 inches. Like the SuckerFish slurps up algea and plants, and I also got him today. But Im going to get a 5 gallon tank and put 1 electric blue and 1 electric yellow Cichlids, and mabye 1 or 2 Tiger oscars, COMMENT OR EMAIL ON MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY FUTURE FOR FISH KEEPING.

  • @XxZekzxX , oscars need much larger tanks, they can grow 10 plus inches, please do some more rearch on the fish you are wanting to keep

  • I hade one like that, it might have been a quarter inch longer than that. It was nearly three years old. It died last summer.

  • that is not a gold fish

  • wow dats a big fish O_O

  • I had the same size once but it had a smaller tail thats cool

  • thats barely like 7 inches my cousin has one thats like a foot long!

  • goldfish are not shoaling fish by nature the instinct isnt strong at all with them to swim with their own kind.

  • @froghats you a dumbass fish are social animals they life in schools

  • @masterrichy1 says the idiot that doesnt realize shoaling is a self defense mechanism. Yes fish are social. but schooling is a method of self protection. I have a planted 55 with only 8 tiger barbs, and they only school right after i turn the lights on because they get nervous from the quick transition. After about an hour, they start to split up, occasionly to "play" with each other, but shoaling is a self defense mechanism, no matter how "social" the fish species is supposed to be.

  • lol meiner ist mind. 2 mal so groß

  • What a big fish. but like everyone else has said, i'm sure he'd like a bigger home.

at least 20 gallons. Or a large pond, but not the one at your local golfcourse :p

  • omg how long did it take for him to grow like that how much did you feed it

  • You need a bigger tank.

  • throw yer goldfish to sum pond .. they aint fit for aquarium

  • A 10 gallon tank is just enough for 1 fancy goldfish.. You'll need something three times this size to be able to accomodate them properly.

  • @DuckyForPresident

A 10 gallon isn't even big enough for one of any kind of goldfish. Goldfish should be kept in nothing less than a 20 gallon plus 10 gallons per additional goldfish. Goldfish get BIG and produce a lot of waste and it's not healthy for them to be kept in small tanks for that reason alone. No matter how many water changes you do there's no way you can keep the water quality good unless you have an automatic water exchange system which is not likely in a home environment.

  • This tank looks more like 5 gallons and having goldfish in anything less than a 20 gallon is cruel, Goldfish are meant for ponds not tanks. Please rehome them.

  • no not all goldfish can live in a pond and its not recommended mostly koi are.

  • Keeping goldfish in a tank is cruel, while there bodies stop growing there organs don't so they will suffocate from a painful death. I have kept goldfish for decades and have goldfish which are 20 years plus and which are alot bigger than this fish but my fish are happy being in a 500gallon pond.

  • @LexLuth0r dude what do you think would happen if you put a bubble eye in a pond. thy would die by the end of the day..

  • the big 1 actually need a 20=50gallon tank

  • tht one huge goldfish is gonna need like a 100 gallon tank

  • no mames, si no puedes teneer peces bien, mejor tiralos a la verga

  • CRULE!

  • tank is waay too small

  • Do u HAVE to have an airpump for a 10 gallon goldfish tank?....I have a filter, but no airpump AND If I do need one, is an airstone good? I'm planning to put 3 goldfish in it, for a while until it gets bigger. and what other fish can go with a goldfish?

  • @desiboy4life Do you know what kind of goldfish? I reccomend comets because they live a lot longer than most fancies if you take good care of them.

  • @desiboy4life, I would go with a wand type airstone or a disk. and YES you need an airpump and a filter. I reccomend a biowheel(see my vids plz) overhang filter for them. three goldfish is more then enough for a ten gallon tank(they get BIG). I don't think you can put any other fish with them becuz goldfish are coldwater fish only and produce huge ammounts of waste. tropicals+goldfish=trouble and disease. PM me if you want further advice plz:)

  • is that a cod

  • @majrascal863 as in a cat?

don't be sad to the goldfish.

  • Listen, I've got two 14-year old goldfish bigger than that. It's a regular goldfish.

  • get them a bigger tank!!

my goldfish is half the size of the smaller gold one and he has a 10 gallon all to himself but im thinking of getting one more goldfish :)

  • thats not a goldfish its a carp

  • goldfish are carp smart one

  • carps are a bigger version of goldfish. google it

  • @goombastomper73 goldfish are a fish smart one.

  • it's still a goldfish

  • mines biger

  • dude, you have to put that goldfish in a new tank, or else you will give him stress by keeping him in a smaller tank, trust me, he will be better, but make sure he has friends because goldfish hate to be alone!

  • For Christ's sake, move them in a WAY much bigger tank.

  • I believe it is a rule that you have atleast 1 gal of water per 1 inch of fish! This tank is way too small for 'these 3' fish! Do the math!! I have had my female Fantail for almost 10 years, she is about 9 inches long. FatRoll swims in a 29 gal tank and FYI adamxhk...she has been bred in it, unfortunatley her 2 'mates' are no longer with us!:( She enjoyed them for many years!) lol

    Please give them room too swim and grow healthily! :}

  • glad you pointed that out but i do want to make one correction.. for goldfish, it's 20 gallons for the first one and then ten extra for every single after that.

  • are you sure you dont mean litres?

  • Yes since goldfish, depending on their species, can well grow up to one foot long.

  • oh rite, i was probably thinking of the smaller versoins of goldfish, my mistake!

  • pretty big but ive seen gold fish that would eat that one.

  • get a way bigger tank

  • very nice tank, but u may want to get a bigger fish tank.the gold fish wont get that much bigger unless u get them like a 29 gal.

  • dont they have unlimitted growth??

  • Not exactly. That's a common myth.

  • mah goldfish is bigger or well longertail fin is longer ;] good job though

  • Ok you ppl r fucking retarded all gold fish can get that big with the right amount of time and space. if the tank was too small the fishes growth would have been stunted...(which by the way to all of you ppl out there with goldfish that aren't this size and havent grown in a year they are stunted... which is way worse than it growing to its full potential) incase you didn't know, goldfish are all carp, and carp can grow to well over 3 foot.... (continued)

  • um maybe he is breeding in that tank duah

  • No need to crowd them.....my 9" fantail has enjoyed 3 mates in her 29 gal tank over the last 10 yrs!!

  • u saying his fish's growth arent stunted in that tank? whats to say that the person isnt inexperienced and bought them big not relising the tank /pond they need

  • ...actually goldfish are descended from carp......

  • So with that having been said this fish is fairly small for a goldfish(carp). if this goldfish really has been raised in this ten gallon tank with the other two fish all its life then the tank is enough space!!!! the fish probably won't grow any bigger until it is placed into a larger aquarium. which "netsider" said he/she...(continued)

  • has done so shut the fuck up u fucking retards quit telling him to do some research until u fucking know what you are talking about in the first place. the damn thing has enough space if it didnt it wouldnt have gotten that big.

  • Tank's too damn small.

  • This is pitiful! Absolutly rediculusly horible treatment of a goldfish. I'm not even going to try and explain all that you are fucking up.

  • well um since you know oh so damn much about goldfish, why don't you indulge us tell us all that he is fucking up! the fucking thing is fine, for two reasons, 1. the fucking fish wouldn't have gotten that big if the tank is too small and for 2. HE FUCKING GOT IT A LARGER TANK (look at the damn date this video was posted thats right 2 years ago so shut up he got it a bigger tank and he really didnt need to because like ive said about 3 times now it would have stunted if the tank were too small.

  • look man the stunting thing is a myth. i had 3 huge goldfish in my 10 gallon. they keep on growing unless the water is not clean. im upgrading my tank to a 55 gallon.

  • i hope you keep that in a bigger tank, i feel so sorry for that fish you fuckin arse hole

  • wow nice job dumb fuck that is like a 7 and 1/2 inch goldfish way big...

  • they are carp

  • boy you sure did your research.... not.

  • its called animal abuse- do research before getting new pets!

  • tank is too small

  • lol hehe nice rocks

  • god damn!.....i didn't know they can get that big

  • the biggest one i've seen came up to 15 inches.

  • wow!

  • lol's, that's pretty big. Mine got too big, like over a foot long so I put them in a koi pond that at my inlaws. (don't worry they're still alive and fine)

  • you should post a vid of them in their new tank

  • they look very nice by the way.

  • Comment removed

  • one is a goldfish/carp hybird, formally knows as F1, they gow to a couple of pounds maximum, 1 is a normal goldfish, and the other looks like a goldfish/crucian hybrid, formally known as a F2, grow to about a pound, and they can all survive in low oxygenated waters, also the fish wont choke on the gravel, the suck it in, take any nutrients or food of the gravel, move it round mouth then spit it out, they are able to seperate food and gravel by the weight of them believe it or not.

  • GET A BIGGER TANK!

  • I DID - Look at the date I posted the video.

  • they are just fish put a big one in a 15 gallon tank and small one in a 5 gallon tank put water in the the tanks next put the fish and feed the fish itnot like they are going to die without gravle.

  • You need a bigger tank and bigger gravel :3 Bigger gravel because of the risk of your goldfish swallowing and or choking on the small pieces of normal gravel~ but other then that, they look healthy and happy but they just need alittle more space, 20gl longs are awesome :D

  • They can't choke on the gravel, and I have already gotten a bigger tank. I couldn't help that goldfish grow big, so quick - sorry.

  • Yeah, well dont forget the tartar sauce to enhance your experience.

  • Looks more like a comet to me.

  • You need alot bigger tank. You should only have 1 inch of fish per gallon of water.

  • Well these being goldfish I would go with 5-6 inch of fish per gallon. Some sites say 1 fish per 10-20 gallons.

  • shut it it all depends on the filterson u have in a tank to how many fish u have

  • "shut it" How about I don't. Filterson? Never heard of a filterson....LOL!!! Fish need room to swim. Over crowding the tank will stress them out and shorten their life.

  • yes but cold water fish like to live in an overcrowed tank as they r very socal fish

  • yes they do and what is warm water to do with it yes they can live in warm water (trpoical) however this will shorten there life by about 5 years EG they only live till about 20 years old in a coldwater they will live about 20-30 years

  • Oh fucking really? Fish arnt social because they are animals? Humans are animals and we are freaking social.

Dogs are animals and dogs are freaking social.

    dumbass.

  • fish arent...

    twat

  • If you want to help the bigger tank foundation, you can feel free to make a donation :)

  • i agree!!! i hate when people use the "they're just animals" excuse. stupidest thing i've ever heard. some animals are social and some aren't.

i guess for fish it probably depends on the breed :S some of my fish are social, but some just lurk in caves and sketchy corners and what have you

  • Yea... some people also forget "schooling" is fish being social... (Lack of common sense I guess on their part for not thinking of that)

  • @netsider Too much big for that tank, I think. Put him in a pond.

  • Are you stupid?

fish form 'Schools" of their own kind to help protect them from danger. As well as mate, breed, etc, oh, and SOCIALIZE.

  • Did you have some kind of point? or... what? LOL.

  • A lot of fish are social, you really couldn't have said anything more correct. Haven't you ever heard of "Schooling" ? Or is that what I'm just doing to you right now? ;) LOL

  • *Agrees* People are ignorant when they think *ALL* fish need a lot of room, when some fair well. It also depends on their childhood, all of those fish grew up together, in that same tank their whole lives.

  • @netsider i can see why you might think something like that, but they do need a lot of room. Something surviving is different from something living. If you were locked in a box the size of your room for your whole 80-100 year life, you would be the saddest thing in the world, but as long as you get your meals every day, you'll live. Fish can't commit suicide, so its up to us to make sure their lives meet their requirements. I hope they've been transferred out.

  • Fish Advise Available at TheExoticFish . com

  • mine is about 12 inches long

  • U rlly need to get some plants.

  • get a 29 gallon tank! or even a 55! poor goldfish...=( i feel so bad for them....they have a unresponsible owner....get a 55 gallon tank! you can even add in 1 more goldy....but do it for the fish he has no where to swim!

  • i feel bad too, the tank is too small, they need bigger ornaments to smin in and out of and they need some plants

  • Tank's too small.

  • They need plants

  • That's a hybrid goldfish....probably a fantail and a comet mixed.

  • there tiny, ill take a vid of my gold fish in my pond and then you will see what big goldfish look like

  • they prob have dropsy. so sad...

  • hey what kind of goldfish is that? is it a comet?

  • ...poor fish!!!

  • Poor fish... they need 20 gallons each to thrive :(

  • no they don't.

more like 2 gallons per 2.5 inches per goldfish.

    I have four goldfish(1.5in each) in a 10gal tank.

  • Well, that might work for you for a few weeks or months but I don't know how you will ever keep the water parameters acceptable once they start to grow, that is if the cycle doesn't crash and kill them within a year.

  • i have 2 10 inch goldfish and 2 8 inch goldfish imagine them in a 10 gallon tank. goldfish are as messy as oscars and single tiled goldfish need lots of swimming room. my goldfish live in a 600 gallon pond with australian natives.

  • Goldfish need a minimum of ten gallons of water for each fish if you don't want them to die from being stunted. Well at least thats what my goldfish's vet told me.

  • ....Goldfish have vets?

  • yes, the're called piscine vets :)

  • Whoever told you that told you wrong. Goldfish put out a huge concentration of ammonia, you should have about 5-10 gallons per goldfish MINIMUM. They can live for 10 years, people that have 4 goldfish in a 10 gal rarely see those fish live past a few months. Some say 20 gals per goldfish but I agree with 10gals being the healthy median. Unless you do intense water changes you will probably loose your goldfish within a years time.

  • goldfish can actually +20 years if cared for properly and if they have good genes. I agree- the tank is overcrowded

  • A friend of mine has a Black Moor that's 15, though its not black anymore it turned gold around 10 years of age. He also has one of those 'live ammonia meters', they sound like a good idea but they don't work after a few weeks (I hate them).

  • I also hate those ammonia meters too - they hardly ever work, waste of $money$

  • Poor fish! Get the poor thing a bigger tank! Please! The fish is beautiful, it needs mor space though!

  • that tank is WAY too small for those poor fish
