excellent movements-i would say that for elderly skip the high and round kicks- no power or speed- they will in all probability fall-good katas for more athletic though
quicker the response more likely to be saved- oldsgtmajusmc
@47wma Yes I have noticed the same thing. It is disgraceful to the true masters of karate...I think that if someone self-proclaims themselves as a 'master' they have not mastered anything.
Neither crisp nor soft - balanced? Watch Ueshiba staff to see the Ki flow...Who would call this seeker Grand Master? I see few if any neutralizing moves. Those kicks are hardly needed with a big stick in your hands. Dangerous to kick when so off balance -but, good for the 'show'. Ah, it's probably just business as usual. 6 of 12 like half the truth. But, the cane does rule as LEGAL to carry weapon. Keep up the training. Good luck.
I have been curious of the uses of cane when a staff could do more damage. But after seeing this I should add a cane to my wardrobe. The enemy won't see it coming.
I just bought his vids and while I do Japanese & Indonesian/Dutch-Indo martial arts, I really like them. Very good instruction, and thorough too! Great primer for a career using this versatile tool!
