Wow, thanks so much for posting this... I've never had the chance to see Varda's documentary, and even this snippet is just tremendous, and the music is fun and works. How tragic to lose Dorleac so young. What grief Catherine D. must have felt.

How can anybody called la Deneuve "haughty" or "cold" or "ice king" after seeing her when she's not shy... I completely relate to her as people think the same of me. I'am among these people who are very self-conscious and shy and somehow when ill at ease it seems i give the impression of looking down on people or something while I am just isolating and protecting myself...

I am fed up of this. Deneuve is very modest and petulant, not cold in anyway, just incredibly shy. Even with her talent she's almost never done theater because of stage fright!
