sounds the same now.his voice sounds good on cd because of wat i said before. they use pitch correction to make his voice on key and smooth on cd.also he will sing parts in different keys on cd to make it sound fuller..something he just cant do live no matter how good he is. you clearly havent seen these guys live and havent been n a studio to understand what im saying .his liveperformance is very weak compared to the recording. but the recording is all most fans will hear.i like adtr n am a fan

i am a guitarist. so i have only recorded guitar, and our band decided not to use any auto tune in our songs. so no, ik have no idea how it works

Production and effects cannot take a voice and make it sing alone by themselves. Every voice you hear on the record is sang somehow. The function of autotune and voice layers and enhancers is basically to reup the voice harmony and clarity, reducing noise and fuzzy sound of throat product of misstreat of voice and bad breathing, and give accuracy reforcing the notes hit.

Most probably he cant normally hit the higher notes without misstreating his voice and screaming, so wont sound any good without the whole post recording production work and thats why he swaps to lower notes.

It's true what you say. The last example I've seen live is Silent screams. great band live and on demo. on their demo they have some clean vocals which sound bright , they are done by the guitarist. but live those cleans sounds awful.

But you can't blame bands nor music industry for doing so. it's a product, and products have to sell, thus they make em better than reality.
