Yup. You can layer widgets on top of one another. You can put anything on top of anything...sometimes you might find a shortcut hidden under another by accident.

I like that I can position my apps/widgets/bookmarks like this and not stuck within a rigid grid - I like it aesthetically and functionally.

Yeah, I had SPB Mobile Shell on a WinMo device I had and that allowed them to be on top of each other. I liked that as it meant I could be more creative and use the wasted space some widgets had. I now have a G1 and it does annoy me sometimes that I can't layer the widgets.

Does it just put the most recently added one on top?
