A lot of people say it was because of the sinking of the Lusitania, but if that were the reason, I thin they would have joined the war much sooner, not 2 years later. A lot of people seem to think the Lusitania was the cause, but no. The Zimmerman telegram was a telegram sent by the Germans to Mexico, telling them to attack the States. It was intercepted, the US got pissed and joined the War. Dur.
