scheiss mann! es ist jetzt wirklich gut unserer turkische gaestarbeiten.... bitte koennen sie alle FUCK OFF!!! sie haben unserer toiletten schon zu lange gewaschen, die sind sicher sauber (nicht wie euch) we hate you and your dirty mosques and way of life... But leave your kebabs behind please :P
@z06forme Ummm... it's hard to explain, but it goes back to Germany's complicated history. Germans who grew up after the war always experienced a lot of hatred from the world, and they could never be proud of their country because of what happened. But the World Cup starting from four years ago gave Germany a new kind of hope about the future, and that they start to realize that it's okay to have pride in their country again. So soccer is one of the rare times that they can display patriotism.
@Loony3107 ummm...am I wrong? because one of my best friends is German, and I've lived in Germany. This is what my boss in Germany told me. Are you German?
@belovedpeartree all I was trying to say is that most people of the young generation (and well- older ppl too, even my grandparents who were kids in ww2) in Germany are proud of many things in/ about their country, it's not just soccer that makes them display patriotism.
The things that happened were terrible and of course are in everyone's minds, but thanks to what happened/ changed afterwards, the pride came back a lot quicker than some might think. Yes I'm German and happy about it ;)
@Loony3107 Yes I love Germany too, and it's such a beautiful country with wonderful people. I was just trying to explain the psychology of how Germans feel. I guess I don't completely understand as much as you do, since I am not German. But my boss told me a sad story about the time she visited America, and an old American woman said mean things to her about Germany's past. She almost started crying. So I thought that it's unfair for Germans to have to live under the shadow of the past.
@belovedpeartree ah okay ;) But the 'shadow of the past' is not that much of a big deal here really. I'm sorry for your boss, she should just have ignored that ignorant american woman ... thanks for your reply!
Oh Mann, am Anfang sieht's aus, wie ne Feier in Ankara, nicht in Berlin! xD
