This is an awesome strategy. Ryan lays it all out very well. I liked it so much that I created a plugin to do the same thing with Wordpress. It's called the wpRevealer.
This is great stuff. Ryan is a master at testing stuff like this and I've seen "Add to Cart" buttons such as this used to good effect on high-converting web sites.
Load of rubish, looked at their website and its just like a mail shot you get trying to sell you some useless money making scheme. As for the big orange button - lol its at the bottom of there sales pitch it may work for that kind of stuff but not for 'normal' products.
It is important to remember though that as with any tests like this, it all depends on the market you are targeting, the product, etc, etc. Just because one button works for one person does not mean it will work for another. If you are serious about increasing your conversions then you should only look at this stuff as advice and test it with your own product yourself. It is silly to assume that this button will increase everyones conversion rates because that just is not true.,
