if any of you read the book, Halo: the flood,

i reckon they should make a spin of game where you play as the odsts at the plateau base when they first encounter the flood (not featured in the game)

and you get cut off and the game is a survivor horror about you and this squad trapped down there with the flood.

This is what the next Halo game should be. Since we've had a Flood drought (think about that for a second) for the past three Halo games, it's time that the Flood comes back in full force with a gory-ass game that will stun the gaming community. That'd be great! Of course the Covenant would be in the game too, but only for a small amount of the game. They could base it off of the book, The Flood. Seriously, this would be incredible.
