  • Can you use this mouse without having batteries in WIRED MODE?

  • Eventhough i hav a mamba 2012, i still want this mice

  • My choice for ToGo Gaming ;)

  • I think....i think i fell in love

  • Can you enable 2000dpi without installing drivers? If not are the settings stored on the mouse so I can set the sensitivity stages on my PC and use said settings on my for example Galaxy Nexus (which has HID Bluetooth compatibility).

  • When it's Wired it does NOT sleep at all? but when it's Wireless it DOES sleep?

  • Comment removed

  • Razor realy takes pride in there work. Damn.

  • Next Mouse: razer Naru

  • 13 people dont know about the second little rectangle box

  • Mines coming in the mail

  • Can someone tell me if this mouse has silent clicks or can suggest a silent gaming mouse that would be awesome

  • @GotFaculty I just got the mouse, and no, u can hear the clicks good enough.

  • @alekogkjetil aww

  • @iSwedishGFX Oh. Ummmm I-I, knew that. ;)

  • Is it good for gaming

  • I don't recommend this Glossy Orochi if you have frequent sweaty hands. The skin of the glossy Orochi gets peeled off due to moist. Trust me on this one. If you are going to buy the Orochi, make sure its NOT the glossy one.

  • what is dpi?

  • @MirageVids I've seen it work on a mac, and bootcamp is no different from real windows, so if you just download the drivers it should work fine. But i'm not that great with computers, just telling you what i know ;(.

  • It doesn't have to be related to naruto, kabuto and orichi are simply japanese words. Orochi is a eight headed serpent and kabuto means beatle i think. Naruto character simply have some meaning to them, orichimaru using snakes as his weapons, it fits perfectly ^^. So no, they didnt necessarily watch naruto and took those names, but maybe have some japanese knowledge

  • It totally show ITS TO SMALL !

  • i just got mine today, LOVE IT

  • this is the best review that ive found so far, keep up the good work! (btw, u r very persuasive, u made me buy the mouse) :D

  • @Niktionzx Yeah I'd like to know that too...

  • I haven't seen an awesome unboxing like this in a while. Great job!

  • mamba or orochi? :D

  • (Orochi)maru and (kabuto)?

is this a reference to NARUTO??

  • @jetpack1986 Orochi is japanese for "Snake". So I think it may just be a japanese word like "naga".

  • @jetpack1986 kabuto is a pokemon

  • Love the unboxing instructions

  • will this work with the Alienware m15x?

  • OMG it looks like a mini motobike looking thing haha, thats why i want to buy it

  • isnt the mouse a bit small ... or would you get used to its size ?

  • waaaaaaaaaaay too small, i prefer my mamba

  • great unbox

  • what if my laptop doesnt have a bluetooth? :(

  • Do you need to have bluetooth or it comes with wireless receiver?

  • When plugged in, do the batteries charge? If rechargeable batteries given?

  • What would you recommend for someone who has small hands(I'm a girl and my hands aren't super small for a girl, but a little small), but wants a very durable little mouse(preferably wireless) with minimal drag/lag time? I want something that won't break or get tangled in my laptop case that's still of pretty good quality. Willing to spend quite a bit on it. I'm going to be going to college soon for graphic design, AND I'm a casual gamer. Suggestions, please? ^w^

  • @UndertakeThis If money is not an issue, definitely go for this one. It is a very high quality, comfortable mouse.

  • is there any particular way to clean it? mine has picked up alot of dust and hair :P

  • @StashedGames A wet paper towel works wonders ;)

  • no stickers for the kabuto? aw

  • Using it right now, great mouse, worth the money...

  • i just bought this mouse, here's my experience:

    Feel: perfect.

Buttons: kinda springy, i could probably get used to them. side buttons suck.

Wired mode: performance is great when wired but short wire.

Wireless: TERRIBLE! after 2-3 seconds of no movement it goes to sleep and has a .5-1 second wakeup time, jumping your cursor across the screen. There is no fix for this, google this problem for more info.

I'm returning this mouse today, my logitech mx anywhere is way better for wireless.

  • if batteries used are rechargable batteries.. will the battery charge while it is in wired mode?

  • @musajohari no, wired just stops the betteries from being used

  • @musajohari no unfortunately the cable will only power the mouse it would be nice to see a updated version that charges an internal battery.

  • @vinylgoneviral yes it does

  • so its a wireless mouse... and it doesnt come with a wireless connector? wth

  • @mitchellakan00b bluetooth, which obviously mean your PC needs bluetooth lol

  • So, blah bla bla, unboxing.... The real question is, does this mouse lag in wireless mode like most other mice or is this actually a wireless mouse that doesn't lag?

  • Orochi and Kabuto...I detect Naruto...

  • @want2havebrains No it's not, just Naga in Japanese

  • @want2havebrains Hey there CEO (no offence) is Asian

  • Cross Promo~!

  • LOL they have too many seen naruto's manga !!

  • can the batteries recharge with the wire when its plugged in the computer? plz answer

  • @magn1017 Nope

  • My Scroll wheel wont light up =[ help?

  • @AkwaTrigger return it/change it

  • is there a re-chargable option to this mouse?

  • Does this mouse work with macbook pro 13" 2010?

  • @MophieZ Yes

  • to all people saying this mouse is good,do you own other razor products ?,im not assking because i want to diss ,i relly want to know because i have some bigg isues with my orochi ..i have razer lachesis, copperhead, salmossa, and orochi of course, greate 'little' compact mause with 'BIG' explossive greate problems

  • "worlds first laptop gaming mouse"? What a blatant gimmick, and people actually fall for this.

  • can this wok for the mac

  • @SoooDumb11 Yes

  • Been using this mouse and kabuto mousepad for over a year now, awesome stuff :)

The only problem for me are crashing drivers, but that might be just my system.

    \o/

  • Robin, get the bat-mouse!

  • Great mouse and everything however, if you are on Windows, there is NO full driver so you will need a mac to control its lighting settings and macro configurations.

  • @MrCheesebear

There is a full driver for Windows. You can find it on razerzupport under Downloads » Razer Mice » Razer Orochi » Razer Orochi Driver v1.02

  • @cultofrazer Thank you for the info, but that driver for windows doesn´t have a control panel, at least here I installed it and nothing has changed in my control panel and/or mouse settings, I could manage to turn my wheel light on using the mac.

  • @MrCheesebear

dude you need to wake up and stop being blind. After a reboot there's a round Razer icon in your tray and after you double click it, you get loads of options to change..

Well, that's what you get for being a macfag ;o

  • @moherowy13 I´m on a PC, the driver was being corrupted by Sony Vaio´s driver. Dude, think outside the box, the world isn´t made only by counter strike kids, some people actually use the computer professionaly so, some people DO need a MAC for music making.

  • Anyway, you said "at least here I installed it and nothing has changed in my control panel and/or mouse settings". That's because on PC you don't control your Razer mouse through control panel (like on Mac, I suppose), but rather by using the razer software itself :)

Oh and wait, did you just call Mac a computer for professionals and PC a computer for counter strike kids? lol, that's hilarious

  • @moherowy13 good

  • @cultofrazer Does it work for Linux?

  • @cultofrazer What about linux?

  • @MrCheesebear

    lolollololololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • @MrCheesebear u failed on promoting apple mate..

  • @MrCheesebear Yes, lucky owner of a mac!! Thanks for info! :)

  • @MrCheesebear LOL no drivers

  • great and the best unboxing review i've ever seen;) great

  • how can you tell if your laptop has bluetooth

  • @hugoxrko

you throw it out the window

  • I still prefer the DeathAdder. Got it for christmas :)

Merry Christmas everybody and happy new year!

  • I clicked on this with my new Razer Orochi. Merry christmas everyone :D

  • @Fuduwahluz OH you

  • @RIGENSTEIN I don't remember posting that. What the hell.

  • @Fuduwahluz Is it good?

  • @MrTohmus Its great. A bit small, but works fine. Same with the bluetooth. Love the crap out of it honestly.

  • Going to the shop to buy it in 3,2,1, bye

  • Can you use the mouse plugged in to the cable without batteries? Or do you need batteries even when you got the mouse plugged in?

  • @Cruzankiller

Nope, no batteries required in wired mode.

  • @cultofrazer where is the razer product serial key please reply

  • @cultofrazer IM IN WIRED MODE MYSELF RIGHT NOW!!!

  • nice machine

  • good

  • could you use rechargable batteries? and if so will it charge with the usb cable inserted?

  • @samuraisqrrl

You can use 2 rechargeable AA batteries but there is no charging functionality via the cable. However should you need to take out the batteries to recharge the Orochi will work in wired mode without batteries.

  • @cultofrazer so it can recharge when the batteries is take out then connect to via cable in wired mode

  • @akimes02 It can operate when the batteries are taken out. Then you can just use your external charger for example while still being able to use the Orochi.

  • @cultofrazer ok i get it thanx for the reply

  • @cultofrazer chxg

  • omfg 1-3 months of battery life....sick :D

  • whats the difference between the Razer Kabuto and the Razer Sphex? they both can be counted as mobile mousepads considering the sphex's thickness can be compared to that of a piece of paper, easy to wash, and store. Is the gliding of the mouse on these 2 surfaces differ? or is the experience pretty much the same?

  • @TheRealYaar

The Razer Kabuto is a soft mouse mat made of microfiber while the Razer Sphex is a desktop skin which means it will feel like a hard mouse mat. If you are into soft mats the Kabuto is definitely your best mobile choice as it doubles up as a screen protector you can fit between keyboard and screen of your laptop.

On the Kabuto you will feel quite a bit more glide while the Kabuto has more grip and feels comfortably soft.

  • do you deliver to the UK?

  • @aaronw2k8

we certainly do. Just hit up our UK store (Change your location to UK on the top bar of our website) and place your order.

  • @cultofrazer ok cheers

  • wait so where's the wireless usb device? or you need a bluetooth supported notebook?

  • @hvale2k5

Included in the box is the USB cable to use the Orochi in wired gaming mode. The wireless mode of the Orochi works with Bluetooth supported notebooks or desktops.

  • Can you get a longer cable somewhere? Or can you just use a regular micro-usb cable with it?

  • @zupperm

The Orochi uses a proprietary plug so a micro USB cable wouldn't work. The included cable is about 2.7 foot / 85cm long.

  • Funny how the mouse is like Orochimaru from naruto and mousepad is like Kabuto LOL!

  • Are the macro software options available for the mac? I have a 13 in Macbook Pro and I use it for Starcraft 2/WoW and I wanted a mouse that could help me feel a bit more comfortable? Is this the mouse that I should buy?

  • @yzak100

Hey yzak, yes there are full drivers for the Orochi available for mac that let you program macros.

The Orochi will work fine in wired mode which offers 4000dpi and 1ms response time. When you use it on Bluetooth the response time will be 8ms, standard for normal use such as putting together presentations and stuff like that.

    Hope that helps you out.

  • Just wanted to find out if anyone can tell me if this mouse has programable buttons and if you can set macros on it like the Logitech G500

  • @DevilSniper50cal

Hey dude, yea 7 buttons you can program macros to.

  • l33t(.)razerzone(.)com/index(.)php?user_dtl=e4f6930f3593328a0843a1c2ddd5bbce to win Razer prizes! Just remove the ( ) around the periods!

  • Am I the only one who laughed when he said " with normal usage"?

  • i hate using small mice, even razer ones ^_^ lol, therefore i bought a deathadder and just carry it around with my laptop XD

  • l33t (dot) razerzone (dot) com/index (dot) php?user_dtl=2d6c3e4023165b5a99515b9bf87cb41d

    HUGE RAZER GIVEAWAY!!

NOT A SCAM EASY AND FAST!

  • @MrIlovetolickballs OMFG i have the exact same problem.. i cant decide will i buy deathadder or steelseries Xai... they are both really good looking... and sound kewl..

  • when is razer coming with ubuntu drivers :( perhaps when we get steam? :D

  • this is only for Japanese sized hands.

  • @ethicks00 you racist.

  • @ethicks00 it also works well for me, a female gamer, that's used to using a laptop pad... the smaller 'fingertip' mouse simulates the same movement as with the mouse pad on a laptop... full-sized mice mess up my gaming.. :)

  • Razer Orochi amberdextrious design? Nice nice, im buying this instead of the Death adder lefty edition for when I order my M11x tis october.

Im curious, how well dose this mouse work off the wire for use on FPS's, and how this mouse feels in the left hand while gaming.

  • WANT.

  • this mouse is sex.

  • Hi, I'm planning to buy this mouse and I was wondering if I supposedly put rechargeable batteries in the Orochi and attached the cable, would the batteries recharge so I don't have to take them out to recharge them?

  • @Ankstek013

    Hi Ankstek013,

I am Hilmar Razer|Water Hahn, the Product Evangelist in charge of the Razer Orochi.

Of course you can use rechargeable AA batteries with your Razer Orochi. But the included USB cable does not have a charging function. The cable is included for situations where you do not desire to use the mouse in Bluetooth mode, such as more serious gaming at 4000DPI.

  • @cultofrazer Does it work with mamba's cable ?

  • @GamerJakas It is not possible to use the Mamba cable. Due to the size difference between the two mice the cable dongles had to be designed differently.

  • @cultofrazer I know this has nuttin to do with the comment im replying to but im gonna ask anyway, is the orochi the only one with a usb protecter, does the deathadder come with one?? cause im getting the deathadder and i just wanted to know thanks.. :)

  • Would this mouse also work on a Mac, or is it Windows-only? Thanks.

  • @Barry3443 It works with both OS X and Windows.

  • sure. tell us how to open the box, its alot harder than operating the mouse...

  • How much was the mouse and pad together

  • wad microphone u r using? nice sound^^

  • on a 1-10 what is this mouse?

  • @thexxxforgotten a 6.5 - 7 on bluetooth mode due to the fact that it goes to sleep if you dont use it for 2-3 seconds, its a 10 if you use it with the cable

  • @crazzynez thanks

  • Sweet mouse. I use the fingertip grip so I love compact mice like this. Probably gonna get one soon.

  • How to connect the mouse wirelessly to your computer?

  • @wilton0510 just go amazon.com or newegg.com and type in bluetooth adapter. bestbuy should carry bluetooth adapters and maybe walmart.

  • @wilton0510 Hi wilton0510,

I am Hilmar Razer|Water Hahn and I am the Product Evangelist in charge of the Razer Orochi. The mouse connects wirelessly via Bluetooth technology to your PC. If your PC has a built in Bluetooth receiver the mouse connects to it effortlessly.

If your PC doesn't support Bluetooth yet, TVGalactic is absolutely right, just look for a USB Bluetooth adapter at your electronics retailer of choice.

Of course the Razer Orochi also comes with a USB cable for wired gaming.

  • this mouse is soo god almost like mamba but its small... i dont love tinny GamingMouse

  • to small!

  • make unboxings less boring, like u talk with no emotion... and kinda boring music :S

  • just ordered mine can't wait to get it.

  • This music makes me think I'm watching "How It's Made".

  • @saxman4231

    LOL ! I know right ?

  • does this work good on the macs

  • @thomasmovesinc yea it has drivers for macs

  • Any clue whats the name of the music playing ;P?

Great music background theme right there !

  • That`s shit becouse of the batteries... i`ll rather get Razer Lachesis :D

  • I have it and it's Awesome!

  • WOW this looks really nice of a mouse

    ...but....so expensive.. D:

  • looks like a vagina

  • razer orochi or razer mamba?

  • @xx3nc0r3xx mamba duh.
