What I've seen from Aizen is that even without his shikai, Aizen is still very powerful. He wouldn't need his shikai since it was Toshiro and Unohana. They are strong, but even when it is bankai, Aizen can manage them on his own easily.

The only weakness for his shikai is if you are touching aizen's shikai, before he uses it, then it negates the effect.

It doesn't make sense for Tosen to be his underling or for Unohana to come to the conclusion that Tosen is with Aizen for the reason that one who cannot see, cannot fall under the spell. That's a contradiction. I don't see the logic in Tosen having to be evil because he cannot see Kyoka Suigetsu. If anything, its more logical to think that he'd be the trump card to fight Aizen. There was no reason presented here for why Tosen is evil. This scene makes no sense in that regard.

@13SeeYou I know the reason why Tousen defected from the SS but that is not relevant to what was being implied in this scene. Aizen outlines that only the blind are immune to Kyoka Suigetsu. Referring to Tousen, Aizen goes on to say that he has been working for him all along. Also with Unohana coming to that conclusion right before. It doesn't make sense for this to introduce Tousen's true nature. Even if Tousen's immunity justifies his ideal loyalty, Gin can still be affected regardless.

Aizen could have beat all of TSS before he had the king's key, but he chose to take it slow to see if Ichigo would reach his level imo i think aizen wanted ichigo to kill him wanted someone to understand him on his own level instead of everyone being low classed. They should have written how Aizen became disillusioned with how an arracar can take human form after removing their "masks" and how protecting the village is any different than from fighting in war with other humans. An identity crisis would have been much more interesting, than he's "just evil".

@Ishidasouken Actually, he could, the only thing that saved Aizen was a lot of preparation. Aizen admits it himself that he couldn't beat Yamamoto one on one. Then even after being mortally wounded he preformed a kido that Aizen was obviously scared of at the time, sacrificing his arm, and is still considered the most powerful Shinigami, since he's still the captain commander. Unfortunately it does mean he can no longer preform "Double bone" Which is what shattered Wonderwiess. Truly a bad ass.

Kyouka Suigetsu's weakness is it can't perfectly mask or hide reiatsu. So, someone who has been stabbed with the sword will be able to tell if it's a fake or not by the reiatsu it's releasing.

When Aizen took Soifon's attack he was merely an illusion. So for all we know he could have been lying. He also appears later in the manga without a scratch, so it's quite possible he was lying to make the illusion perfect.

Aizen (godly strength, reiatsu, speed, etc) + Kyouka Suigetsu (godly ability, but even more so in Aizen's hands) = invincible unless you haven't seen the ritual, at which pont Aizen can simply force it upon you if you're weaker than him. So yeah, Ichigo's gonna have to train. A LOT.

So Aizen pretty much changes his enemies 5 senses to whatever he likes. VERY FUCKING OVERPOWERED. But if that's his power i'm sure all he does is run up to the enemy and slash at him while the enemy thinks he's doing something COMPLETELY different. Aizen must have extraordinarily immense spiritual pressure to do all this and his control over his reiatsu is flawless so he can easily be defeated if you just never look at his sword.

Well, Shinji's zanpakutou can only deceive the opponent's vision. It is a kind of hypnosis but it is still far away from Kyouka suigetsu wich can control all five of the senses.

one of two things will happen in the manga soon, at least in my opinion- 1. Tousen at some point will betray Aizen and help defeat him or 2. Ichigo will somehow not see him unleash. Currently the only way possibility no. 2 will work is if Ichigo's new hollow transformation is suddenly immune to Aizen's shikai, knowing how clumsy Ichigo is, unless he pokes his eyes out so that after it'sall over the 4th squad can heal him.
