Gen 1&2 were the the best, but this game was awesome.. I was used to the old 8-bit sound and this was something totally new for me and I loved it.. The running shoes, the contests, the underwater caves, the regions, the desert, the volcano, diving, cities built on trees and corals.. everything was amazing! too bad most of the 3rd gen pokemon sucked though, same goes for the anime

This is ok game but new pokemon sux balls no joke .the main pokemon games that were n always be the best pokemon game ever was red blue yellow gold silver n crystal version. Everyone has those in my school back than .. Good times I wish I can be a kid again :/

@swirkass The new games are actually pretty awesome. In particular, the D/P generation was the absolute best, imo. The earlier games will always be special, but they all contained glaring flaws and game-breaking issues that didn't get fixed until Diamond & Pearl.

Also, the games received actual replay value from D/P on, with the enhancements to EV training and additions like the Battle Tower/Frontier. With the older games, once you beat the E4/Champ, there was no reason to keep playing.

@swirkass I watched the show when I was younger, and played the games (Although I never fully cleared one until Gen. 3.) I still like Gen 1, but I prefer the new games. I love nearly all the new ones (Excluding Stunfisk of course.) But which generation is best really is a matter of opinion when I think about it. They all have their pro's and con's.

Ruby was the only game where I actually caught 'em all. :) Though my cousin had to give me his Milotic, since my damn Feebas wouldn't evolve. >.> And I trained that damn thing to lv. 100, and gave it Pokeblocks that were supposed to boost it's beauty. (It evolves from High Beauty of course. :V) Got it back when I was 13. I remember Nintendo Power had a poster to promote RS and I hung it up. A damn spider made it's nest behind it though. >.<

@GardeBlaze That's part of the reason why this is my least favorite. The feel of the game is weird too, I never got into it. Once I beat the game, I never wanted to play it again. I was glad it was over. But the DS games are just as awesome as the GBC games, and those I play ALL the time!
