sign language is open to criticism thats how we become better at it! the way my asl book and my teacher show it like a gun! index finger and thumb out when u connect! 2 pointers make the sign right or correct! i appreciate u guys helping people lear but need to get it right.... and if i am wrong handinhandtogether please send me a pic of the correct way from the book u learned that from! thnks guys keep ur work up!
His signs might not necessarily be wrong. If I'm correct, don't signs usually depend on the area in which the signers are located? Where I'm from [San Diego, CA] the signs for son, daughter, brother, sister, and parents, greatly differ from the ones depicted in this video. If he's going with his regional signs, he could be signing right.
@teamjacob212 Would that show happen to be Switchd at Birth? If it is, are you a Demmit or Bemmit fan? I like Daphne and Emmett, but I wouldn't mind Emmett and ME!! ;)
@TheBieberluv26 haha yep it is Switched At Birth. I love that show :) I'm getting pretty good I think I could understand Emmett whens hes signing now w/out the subtitles :) I'm a Bemmit fan :) I think they are so cute together. Are u looking up signing 4 the same reason?
@teamjacob212 I started signing as soon as the show was over, but I'm not really signing for that exact reason. But it's kind of close, I want to meet Sean Berdy (Emmett) and be able to communicate with him (because I think he's smexy), and I also want to be a teacher at a deaf high school. Oh, and I love your username! Taylor Hotner is also smexy!

@EpaTurtle The actual ASL dictionary does not use "are" But it is an "R" that starts on your mouth and then pulls out.

@EpaTurtle ASL is not like English at all, they share little, if any, grammar rules. In short, being verbs are typically used.
