  • Blairtoo, I visited with Brian later that day at guitar center northridge and I had the same experience. Brian was really reserved and didn't say much. He gave me a simple thank you. It was the greatest most dissapointing moment of my life.

  • I met Brian. He was nothing but a gentleman.

  • I would have been happy to get an autograph from Brian if he was wild eyed and foaming at the mouth.

  • Thanks for modeling the essential "let's meet the celebrity" perseverance blairtoo!

As much as I love his music and respect the man. I'm not sure I would have ever subjected myself to being herded like so much cattle.

  • Hey thanx for postin' your day! You never know which Brian you're going to get... it all depends on the setting. He's also rarely as miserable as he seems. You should've prepared yourself for a let down way in advance.. that way you could've had your celebration! You summed it up so well though.. what can you expect from the guy. At least he's still makin' great music, and making up for so many sad years by touring for us. His friendly handshake is in the music he's already given us.

  • Brian Wilson has good and bad days....he was obviously having a bad day here. He could have been physically sick or he could have been distracted by the voices that he hears in his head on a daily basis

  • cool video my friend - nice to see you meet up with a legend.. Such a shame re his illness. LoVeD the Stevie Ray Vaughn pic. Hope all is goos with yo. 5/5. P

  • Don't feel bad blairtoo. Brian has well documented mental issues. Some days he just isn't in a socially interactive mood - including a simple thanks or goodbye. I got to meet Brian in November after winning a contest and it's easy to sense his discomfort around people he doesn't know. In his heart he appreciated everything! Love and Mercy...

  • thanks for the great positive comment!

  • Nice video! I was lucky enough to see brian in concert a couple years ago. Probably on of the best concerts I've ever been too. In My Room is also a favorite of mine.

  • Nice job on the video. That's me offering the guitar for sale.

  • i'm glad you found the video and had a chance to see yourself. did you ever sell the guitar?

  • sad ending, but hey you met Brian Wilson, what more could you want, he's my hero.

  • Oh I was all excited for you all in the beginning and then a bit deflated for you all also at the end.

I guess maybe he was quite tired etc : \

Hope the farmers market was full of treats to perk you all up again? Looks like a nice days excursion none the less : )

  • Thanks for the little excursion into a place I wouldn't have gone without you. I enjoyed it!

  • thanks. yeah, no doubt about it, brian is a hero to millions. i hope we didn't come-off to strong, but this is a record of our reaction at the moment it was happening. let's stay in touch.

  • great video, it was nice to meet you!
