  • Can you please help?

is Nikon D300S a good buy over the Canon T3i?

i'd be using it mostly on photography, usually low light situations.

  • d7000 or d300s which one is better?

  • @rwarlekar what a dumb question, u tell me ferrari 355 or bmw 7.40 better, then u will figure out ur question too

  • good video explaining the difference between the d300 an d300s. i have both cameras and i think the d300s is better.

  • If it is all about the person behind the camera,go and bye a £90 CAMERA AND DONT LOOK BACK

  • is this Full Frame camera????

  • @jecsanchez23 no

  • wowww!i love the this camera :)! Do you know you can make Time Lapse Photography with this camera?

These guys have an infrared remote time-lapse device for all cameras: tempusALL.bymac.org

    sweet!! :P

  • i like the fact that is has a lot of switches and knobs so you can change the settings without having to go into a menu or even take the camera off your eye...

  • Why 200 iso?? why not iso 100? i mean, it's a pro camera, it should have the 100 iso sensitivity

  • @ElCaza89 pro cam means better ISO. and whats the use of big sensor camera if u are going lower ISO. i want to buy d3s only because higher ISO performance.

  • d300s or the d7000?

  • @bbreeg26 d300s for big hands, d7000 for small hands. ;)

  • @broadcastsfromearth boh of them are more or less of the same size

  • @bbreeg26 go for the d7000. As of nikon or canon or any other brand out there, newer is almost always better.

  • D300s or canon 7D ?

In Picture only . not video

    people - nature - sports - birds - night pictures .. !

  • @KillingxKitty Nikon D300s

  • Is there any way in recording video with the d300 and then play it back avian for instants on the computer please help

  • the d300s has better noise performance than the canon 7d

  • @lampaslocus Yup..

  • Which is better camera D300s Or D700

  • @harshanack 700

  • @harshanack Depends On You..

    Nikon D300s is a DX..

    Nikon D700 Is a FX..

  • this is probably the most in depth review on this camera on youtube

also there is another review from cameralabs that i think shows a feature that this guy doesn't mention

  • good day sir.. i'm just curious and i really don't know on how to take a picture that is black and white, and with only one color focused.. just like a girl in a black and white image, while her dress is color yellow.. please help.. because some of them to this by just editing the picture, but some says it can be done in taking picture... please help.. tnx...

  • @khayiekaze15 That is post-processing. Not part of the exposure. Whoever said they do that simply with their camera is lying.

  • Is this a "mini D700"? :)

  • @ColdingoVich That's probably a fair description. The D700 is pretty much a full frame version of the D300, which has a smaller APS-C sensor.

  • @ColdingoVich not at all. theyre the same exact size except the d700 has a larger viewfinder. the d300s is the flagship dx body, the d700 is the cheapest full frame option. they fit completely different niches and each has its own pros and cons. perhaps the d7000 is a mini d700 because the high iso performance is on par with the full frame bodies.

  • since other people are asking for recomendations, i'm going to be working with my school as a sports photographer, which would you reccomend: Canon 7D, Canon 50D, Nikon D300s or the Nikon D7000? thanks

  • Which out of the D700 or the D300s would be better for wildlife photography?

  • Nikon has built a really versatile light proffessional camera.

  • I hear you can only record 10 minutes of video on this camera...that that true?

  • @pacificresonance just get an hd video camera if you like videos

  • I'd rather buy the Canon 7D... that dial thing looks weird lol... i got turndown by it...

  • Ive been doing photography now for 3 years, the past year at college and ive been using a Pentax K100D Super, which is crap. I want to upgrade and get a Nikon but I dont know which one to get. I have a large list but i was either thinking, the D200, D90, D300/S, D2X, D80. I know there is a large price range but I dont know which one will suite my needs. Any ideas?

  • @SHORTASS112 if you haven't gotten a new camera, get 7D or 50D if you don't mind the video mode on 50D.... but 7D recommended

  • quiet mode? wtf...it just sounds like they split the sound in half and spread the sound out.

    rofl

  • loved the video. :) and i love this camera, so would you recommend this camera for everyday use in photography? :) is it good in low lighting?

  • D300s vs D3000??

  • @AndrxsElxy d300s obviously....

  • Can you adjust the aperture setting whilst shooting video. This is not possible with the D90 and I have difficulty with macro photography as I lose the increased depth of focus whilst recording video.

  • canon d7 or nikon d300s which better picture result ?

  • @ShiroSky102 The 7D is marginally better still picture quality and much better video quality. But they're both awesome cameras.

  • @ShiroSky102 The Pentax K7. Period

  • @ShiroSky102 the sensor and AF of d300s is much better. but overall have less features than 7d. just check the difference. I would recommend d300s on d7000. All of these prosumer cameras have good image quality difference is only in better ergonomics, handling and built quality.

  • Really doubting between the D300s and D700. D700 has bit higher ISO performance but it's 800 euro more expensive. Anyone that can convince me for the D700 or D300s ? If i'm going for the D700 it will be with the 24-70 and same for the D300s. High ISO performance is kinda important for me but worth the extra 800 euro's ? I rarely will go higher than 1600. Video isn't very important but is a nice extra. Any advice ?

  • @Kinneballer36 Actually, on the D300s the NIKKOR

24-70mm f/2.8G ED becomes a 36-105, since its a cropped sensor dslr (DX). Both are good cameras. Since both fit your criteria (ISO 1600), you've got to list out the pros that the D700 has that the D300s doesn't. From there you've got to decide WHETHER YOU NEED those extra features. If not, save the 800euros and get more/ better lenses.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Proud Nikonian =]

  • doe that camera have the P.A.S.M.priority modes?

  • my dad has a tamron 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 lens that he uses for his Nikon F4. Would I be able to use it with this body?

    Thanks so much!

  • Which better this camera D300s Or D90 ?

  • @KillingxKitty The D300s is the more advanced model.

  • @WhatDigitalCamera is this good for sport photos? and what mode would i use for sports?

  • @KillingxKitty yeah and about a $600 dollar price difference

  • @KillingxKitty the d300 is much better.

  • is it really worth $1000

  • @alexlikesipodtouches its 1600 4 the body

  • Made in Thailand.

  • NIKON RULES!

  • The plastic cover comes off too easily. I was shooting at night. It fell off. I didn't realize it until I'd gotten back home. I love the camera . I am still learning all it can do

  • There's such a thing called NEFRAW in nikon as well.

  • @cadence33333 I do know about photography. and one very bad things about nikon is that they don't incorporate dual processor just like in the 7D (aka dual digic 4) this means nikon shoots slower and process slower. canon is just one very solid camera compared to nikon. and btw, do you know that there is something called sRAW? well you dont really know do you? people can just shot in smaller resolution RAW format and it save some memory space. nikon fanboys...

  • how cost this camera in uk?

  • Hi, great review...just wanted to ask, for everyday lens for D300s ppl recommending 18-200 nikkor...wanted ur opinion on Tonika 11-16mm...what do u think? or do u have any other lens to offer?

  • 18-200 nikkor is great choice. if you can do, allways go for primary lens by nikkor, it is best common dslr lens to date. even if it is the slow one, as 18-200, sure is. But this lens is sharp, and very versatile for scout and everyday use

  • is the d300s a good camera for landscape and sports? would you recomend it ?

  • D300s is perfect for portraits, landscape and sports. 7 fps and the 3D tracking tech you can't go wrong with this camera, unless you want to go full frame.

  • thank you very much

  • go get canon 7D. don't ever think of getting nikon.

for landscape, 7D wins [higher MP for best details]

for sport, 7D wins again [faster speed than the d300s, 8FPS. you wont miss a every single crucial moment]

pricing, 7D is way much cheaper

lenses, canon got lots of range of lenses than nikon

    overall, 7D wins. hands down

  • @Xyb3rTeCh

    hah! you are so wrong.

firstly, D300S can shoot up to max 10FPS if you know how to set it. it reloads much faster.

secondly, since the start of nikon, it produced over 40 million lenses. You just dont know it because your country doesnt sells it.

And thirdly, Professionals buy expensive goods. DONT forget that :)

  • @sgdevilzz bullshit... 7D AF is much faster than the D300s. And i dont think d300s can shoot up to 10fps, that's totally bullshit. and canon produced more than 40 mil lenses too. and lastly, professional uses canon as well. i know d3 had a great AF but its lack on MP for large printing

  • @Xyb3rTeCh Professionals used Nikon too. Actually most "professional" photogs prefer to use the Nikon D700 and D3/D3x over Canon because of their superb 51 area AF system. Just because Canon has MORE of everything does not mean they are better. Over all Nikon design their cameras for "photographers" while Canon leans more on the aesthetics and more pixels for camera whores who hardly ever shoot with their camera and just collect and go on about how awesome Canon is for their so many lenses.

  • quiet mode is not quieter. it changes the shutter action to engage on button release. it stops shake on low shutter speed captures for a sharper image.

  • how long does the battery last while shooting video?

  • sensor is 2.3mp at 6:42

  • I'm confused; does de nikon d300s have AUTO mode?

  • No it doesnt.

  • No, it is a semi-pro camera meaning if you still need the auto mode, you are NOT ready for this camera. You might be better off with the D90 or lower models.

  • What's the point in having a SLR if you use it on AUTO MODE ?

  • @riz222 so you can just take it out and shoot duh

  • @riz222 THE GLASS ?? THE SENSOR ?? THE ISO ?? DUMB FUCK

  • Lol, I like how you edited the "S" in the audio.

  • any word on next model replacing the current d90? i'm holding off for this..

  • Rumors has it that Nikon is coming out with a camera called the D6000 to replace the D90 and the D5000. One major drawback is that they will remove the motor inside it meaning you would be required to use AF-S lenses only. That would be terrible. At the moment, it's just rumors.

  • go get a camcorder you dingy. this is mainly used for pictures

  • @popitn2nd Yeah I agree, i think the whole video in dslr thing is a great gimmic but DSLRs are for taking pics.

  • its actually a great addition some time u need a video in hand and its in HD so its worth it

  • @popitn2nd very well said

  • @popitn2nd thank you! finally. people always dissing the d300s b/c it only does 5min. really if you want to record longer than that get a bloody camcorder

  • @popitn2nd with most camcorders of the same price you have no control over aperture, as well with dslrs you can change lenses, meaning its great for varied cinematography

  • good

  • good

  • @pinoyjustin

    The Canon T1I...it is 1080p @ 20 fps, and at 720p @ 30 fps

  • thanks you so much for explaining it to me :)

    i appriciate it alot

  • Try Casio's slow motion cameras.

  • @pinoyjustin whats fps ?
