  • This recipe rocks!!!!!

I Love Biscuits and Gravy and have tried different recipes and eating at many restaurants around the U.S. Most Biscuits and Gravy you have in restraints are not very good. But after seeing you make this gravy I ran out to the store last night bought the ingredient and had without a doubt the best Biscuits and Gravy ever.

    THANK YOU

  • I had biscuits 'n gravy for lunch yesterday...OH BOY!!!!!!

  • God, I miss the south. I'm making this for my friends for Breakfast on Sunday.

  • Here is how it's done in Mud-fork. 1st, use a good meat grease like.. steak. Forget about sausage. Use tablespoon of grease with same amount of self rising flour. let the grease bubble, put in flour, let it cook UNTIL it is BROWN. Yankees always use nasty White flour and just pour in liquid before it browns, nasty Yankee! It will take about 5 min cook slow until brown. Now just put in milk about a cup or so and cook.. and stir the bottom for 10 -20 min on a slow boil. add pepper.

  • Try evaporated milk, with added milk...a little cream. That way the cream won't clot.

  • these are some rednecks that can cook

  • @DeFxMeTaL ALL rednecks can cook up a storm.

  • Roux- it is pronouced "roo"

  • LoyalTideFan, U stand corrected. Roux is pronounced ROOOO!!!!

  • Ok, okay. ROOOOOOO!

  • No it pronounced " roux" dog now row

  • Mmmmmmm Mmmmmm Biscuits and gravey. The food of the gods. It has to be.

  • I miss the south, I miss my dutch oven, I miss B/G!! I'll have to do up a batch now!! :)

  • That just about made me jerk a tear it looked so good. Over here in England with my English Wife and they don't do Biscuits and Gravey. I can do biscuits myself, just need to learn the gravey part first. Be nice if more folks would upload videos of how they do the gravey part..

  • theres really no right amount of ingredients.. start cooking however much sausage you want..when the sausage is fully cooked, add just enough flour to soak up the grease, then add milk..the amount depends on how much gravy you want to make. but dont use skim, it wont thicken. use 2% or whole. hope this helps :)

  • You got me drooling already.. Thanks for the advice.. :-)

  • Mmmmmm boy, looks delicious.. I'm trying to learn about what you're doin'.. You're making a roux,

is that with browned pieces of sausage, rendered grease & flour? then you're adding chicken broth then heavy cream? You sprinkled in somthing green?, then cayenne,(can also put in chipolte pepper) Made your buttermilk biscuits in a dutch-oven for 45min.

  • Nothing green.

  • if you going to put anything in country gavy it better be rabbit or squirl or pepper nothing els
